Gisela and Celestine were fantastic hosts. The house was pristine clear, the bed was very comfortable and they were very helpful not only with check in, parking, breakfast, but also gave a lot of tips and good stories about Basel and their own lives. I’d book this place just to spend the day hearing about their lives and their trips.

There must be a highway near by, so despite being out of town the background noise can be annoying in the summer with the windows open

Breakfast was very good. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was clean, and we were offered some fruits which were very welcome. The beds were comfortable. It was a very pleasant stay in general.

Unfortunately the spa wasn't working, or at least we couldn't figure how to properly close it, so that water wouldn't evacuate.

I had booked last minute and couldn’t have been happier with my choice. I was warmly and helpfully received and the house and room were cosy and immaculate. I was grateful for the free parking, and still given a public transport pass in case I needed it.

This is a fabulous place to stay. The house is absolutely beautiful, the couple who own it are lovely, you actually feel like you are staying with your family. I was there for a football match at FC Basel & the stadium is only one stop away from the house & it's only a 3 minute walk to the tram stop. They also give you a voucher to use which gives you free travel on local transport. I had free travel on the tram & bus which was fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners. I was actually early for my check in, but I was allowed in & offered a drink & sat talking with the lady for ages which made me feel very welcome. She also recommended somewhere to eat which was fantastic & also said to take some Swiss chocolate home which I did & it is very tasty! They also let me leave my stuff there the next day while I went exploring Basel. I can't speak highly enough of both of them, it really was like staying with family.
