Very friendly owner, amazing couple housekeeping the Finca and taking care of their guests!! Location couldn‘t be any better: calm outside of Salento, but within 10 minutes walking you‘re down at the village. Beautiful view above Salento!!
The owner is happy to give recommendations what to do in the surrounding area (and has an amazing artesanry chocolate production!)

This is a very charming finca on the top of a hill overlooking the town. I loved the style in which it's painted with bold colors and a beautiful lobby/balcony with great views. The staff are super friendly and accommodating (spanish only). I liked the quaintness of this place, it felt like the old days before technology. Cash only.
The bathroom needs a fan or some kind of ventilation- its super humid in there, and so our towels and clothes were not able to dry. After showering, everything in the bathroom and room was covered in a layer of moisture. It rains all the time (Salento is basically in a mountainous rainforest area) so our clothes got super wet but we weren't able to dry them because the room was so humid. We had to put our clothes outside the room on the table and luckily it finally mostly dried by 1-2 days later. Other than that it was pretty clean, no bugs at all, but the room itself is pretty simple and no-frills.
Be aware you have to climb a somewhat steep hill to get to the finca from the town so you must be in decent physical shape to do so.

This place has a spectacular view of the whole town and the mountains. Very charming place with all their collections of tropical plants and succulents. The room was big. There's hot shower! Wifi worked well. Because the property is up on a hill, it's quite a "hike" to get there. Prepare for a steep walk! But don't worry, it's only about 5-8 min and you're already on the main street.
The steep walk to get to the property. Dogs barking somewhere in the area (not at the Finca, they have no dog).

Excellent value for money, great view, attentive staff and authentic local style. Recommended. Definitely one of the best options in town.

Great location a little outside Salento, with a great view from the garden, but at walkable distance from the center of the town. Being far from the crowded streets, it was really quiet in the evening and the night. We slept really well. The mattress was very comfortable, the bathroom was big and everything was perfectly clean.
Some small imperfections in the structure could be improved. There was a tiny hole in the bathroom ceiling filled with a piece of paper and a mosquito net above the entrance door was a bit broken, but nothing so bad. José was welcoming even if he didn't understand any English and made us coffee every morning as we woke up. He was overall nice, but he probably could avoid making some things in front of the clients - like disinfecting anything you hand him and counting and recounting and checking the money in front of you. Coming back in the evening may not be the best experience since there is a dirt road to walk on and there are not many lights as you enter the main gate. We didn't have any issue but for someone it may be a bit scary, in this case make sure you get back before sunset.

The surroundings and garden were beautiful and everything was clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and friendly.
There were no indoor common areas to hang out. There is a beautiful room towards the entrance but guests aren't allowed in there. There was no self-serve water or tea, you had to ask for it, and after a certain time of night they charged for tea. The entrance was a really steep hill that was difficult to get up and down with bags.

First of all, beautiful view. I don't think any hotel can match the view point that they have of the city. The staff was very nice and helped with everything they could. Close to the town for a great night sleep yet steps away for the convenience. Recommended for sure.

This is a wonder little hotel just a 10 min walk above the town. The host offered coffee upon arrival and hot tea during a cold rainy night. The breakfast was wonderful on the terrace and the gardens were lovely to just sit and enjoy. I highly recommend!

The location and the view
The main building was closed and all the other facilities couldn't be used.

We really enjoyed our stay - the property is beautiful, the owners are just the nicest people in the world (the man doesn’t speak a word English and we didn’t speak Spanish but somehow we managed to communicate) and the views over Salento were the best. The rooms are spacious and clean and I can’t think of anything bad. Good breakfast and everything was takes care off.
Not a real negative point, just something to keep in mind: to reach the property, you need to climb a hill for a few minutes and at night the path is a bit dark.

Very nice view, close to the main square, clean, nice decoration and green areas. A very nice dog called Pepa.
It would be great to have the chance to pay by card.
They should make sure the guesses have one towel per person.
It would be great to have the access to hot water for more hours on a day.

The staff was very very friendly. They offered us complimentary coffee every morning which was super nice of them. They were very attentive and always there to help however they don’t speak English at all (but kind of all around Colombia like that). They also have the nicest dog, Pippa, which I am going to miss really. The room was clean and cleaned daily. Very good value for money we paid. The location is top really! Very central, a short walk from the busy and famous street calle real!
Maybe the entrance to the hotel is a bit too steep and it is often very slippery even when I have a proper shoes with a proper anti slip on, especially when it is raining as it rains heavily and often in Salento. It would be nice maybe to make some kind of stairs to the entrance from the gate.

Everything. This place is a slice of heaven.

Location with view on salento (even though going to the finca is better with jeep as the way is very muddy)
Beds are very very hard. Difficult to sleep if you have fragile sleep
