Very nice place with a beautiful garden. Rooms are simple and kind of open-air - I liked that. Could here animal noises in the night, jungle feeling. Tasty and very affordable meals. Luckily could find another guest for the river tour (it takes at least two persons) - enjoyed it a lot. Free transfer from and to the ferry. Owner explained me how to get to Can Tho.

I wish I could explore the surrounding a bit. But the bikes are in poor condition. And for me the biggest problem were the barking dogs everywhere. Returned to the guesthouse very quick ; ) If you're unlucky and you have a guy next door snoring and watching videos you might not sleep that well.

The peace and quiet compared to Saigon is nice. The pick up and drop off to the Am Binh ferry are much needed and appreciated. You actually stay at the Mekong Nature Lodge as the one you think you book is under renovation. Good communication from the owner. There are free bikes to use too but be warned the path is very poor and once on a road it can be a bit scary as a cyclist! Beware local dogs that bite too. Hubby got bitten during an afternoon run around the local area. Good air con and bathroom 👍🏻 We could easily arrange a boat trip from there too at a fair price. No guide though so you can make up your own explanations for what you see ha ha.

The bedding was not great, cotton sheets would be much nicer. Hot water is from solar so takes a while to come through and not very hot - ok though. You are a long walk from anywhere else to eat so you end up having to have dinner there - cost is ok. Owner asks what you would like to eat. More vegetables needed in the dishes served would be good. The food is ok. Bikes are in poor condition- lucky for whoever stays next is that y husband fixed 6 of them for you to use :) All up place is a bit unloved after 3 years sitting idle. Grounds need some work as does the swimming pool - no filtration system we could see and needs a dose of chlorine for the algae. Ok for a cool off neck down ;-)

Beauitful rooms in a nice garden with swimming pool. We got great banana pancakes for breakfast. We could borrow some bikes to explore the island for free, which was a nice way to experience some local life in the Mekong delta.

The bikes could use some service.

One of the highlights of our Vietnam-Trip! We only stayed for one night but we could have easily stayed for longer in this lovely homestay, eating the delicious (and inexpensive!) home-cooked food in the beautiful eating area, overlooking the litte ponds in front of the bungalows and admiring the fruit trees, other plants and animals that have made their home there. The area is perfect to explore with bikes (that you can take for free) and to get a feeling of the astonishing Mekong landscapes by taking little paths through fields of Jackfruit, Banana, Coconut and Papaya trees. The host was very warm and welcoming, and he arranged for 2 motorbike-drivers to take us all the way to a bus station where he also called the bus company to make sure we got a place on the bus to Ha Tien. All in all, a definitve gem of Southern Vietnam!

The owner moved us to the Mekong Nature Homestay (next to Phuong Thao Homestay). This Homestay is quite new: Beautiful location - perfect to discover a part of the Mekong Delta- , very helpful staff, they pick you up with scooters from the ferry (which the kids loved), nice swimming pool.

One of the beds was very hard, the others were fine.

Nice property with gardens by the river. Friendly staff, good food. Great and cleaned shared bathrooms.

We have been traveling in Vietnam for a month now and we found it a bit expensive, that's the most we have paid for a double room (which isn't even ensuite), and it isn't soundproof since the walls don't go up to the ceiling/roof. They have a lot of bicycle that you can take for free but they are in bad shape.
