Perfect little rooms and a great restaurant and hanging out area. Lots of cats and a nice dog that hang around, and the staff are really helpful. Also fantastic spots to watch the sunset!

Bang Bao is quite far from the port and depending on when you come it can be really expensive to get here! Otherwise we really liked being in Bang Bao.

I loved the view from my room and the restaurant.

The first night it seemed like my room wasn't clean or prepared properly, the bathroom was dirty, the shelves, even the bed seemed dodge. but after bringing it to their attention, it was much better.

This is a hard one I feel torn but want to be honest for people reading reviews but not negative... I stayed with my two children 20 & 13 up in the high bungalows so this review is based on that.. I feel it would be a super couples romantic get away.... You are literally at the very bottom of the island it is very quiet and remote...the views are spectacular.. they give you free snorkeling equipment and kayaks, unfortunately we got hit with bad weather so couldn't use them. Bad points the beds were rock hard I found it very hard to sleep and we were there 3 nights. The food isn't great lots to choose but lacks good taste, I've had so much delicious food on this island so it really fell below and it's not exactly cheap cheap in comparison. I think there is a great set up there but just lacked warmth. We were eaten alive in the rooms I had spray and burned incense but I think you need a plug in. Showers weren't great shower heads just need cleaning. We were told on check in rooms won't be cleaned while your here. Ok I don't expect maid service beds don't need to be changed daily but there are lots of insects and ants and the monkeys trying to get food so I think sweeping them out and changing the bins would be a basic service to benefit everyone. It's kind of trying to be a hippy eco place but recycling wasn't offered. You really need to rent a bike because you are far away from things it's 250 there but most places are 200 what I did was get out of the taxi and get a scooter and sent my kids on in the taxi with the bags. That way you could go back with someone and get another if you wanted. The bikes rental from the accommodation are like little Vespas, I got a Honda click it has better power for the hills and bigger space for storage under the seat handy so you can go and get stuff to bring back.
