This home was absolutely wonderful! Grocery and restaurants were nearby, within a 10 minute drive. But the views and the property made you feel like you were miles away from anyone. We didn't have any issues with the access to the property. We did have an AWD. The owners were very responsive and the home was very clean. We spent sometime in Asheville and Gatlinburg as this location made for good day trips. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

The house was absolutely stunning the views from the home are incredible. The home was very cozy making it the perfect getaway with family. My girls loved it and already asked to go back next year!

We had an amazing stay at this property! The views are gorgeous and breathtaking. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and prepare meals. The pictures posted online are exactly what you get in real life…maybe even better! The communication with the homeowner was great. This property does not disappoint! Believe it when you read that a four-wheel-drive vehicle is necessary to get up the gravel road.

Loved the views! The wrap around porch was great as well as the firepit. It was a perfect place for our family to stay. Deep Creek trails in the park were fantastic. We visited the Deep Creek Winery which was nearby. It had fabulous views and awesome wine.

A lot of times when staying at vacation properties what you expect and what you get is not the same. This can not be said for 'peace of heaven'. From the views, to the cabin, amenities, and in-town recommendations, all spot-on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

Such a great location and experience

Great little weekend getaway, enjoyed it alot. Host had everything ready for our arrival. The view was spectacular. Also do listen to the hosts advice about the driveway to access the property.

We go to Bryson every year and, out of several hosts we’ve rented from, Steven and Sue Matz are by far the best hosts! We are repeat renters and will continue to book with them when we can/based on availability. Always easy with work with and everything is top notch!

We had a wonderful stay, the house is in a great location

We stayed with another couple and we all absolutely loved it. The cabin was extremely clean and the view was unbelievable! The location was great-to hikes, downtown, and Ingles. Communication with the owners was great as well. We would definitely rent this property again!

It truly was a piece of heaven when we got away for the weekend. Our family enjoyed the day on Fontana Lake with the pontoon boat we rented and the tube riding. I enjoyed the view, the hot tub, and the quiet getaway from work. Who knows? We live just a couple of hours away and may be able to get back there someday.

Awesome cabin that had everything we needed! Less than 5 minutes to the nearest grocery store. And less than 10 minutes to Bryson City. My family of 5 - infant, 1 year old, and 4 year old - enjoyed our stay. We plan to be back!

Great private property for rest and relaxation. The views are amazing and the hot tub/covered deck will make you want to be outside to enjoy the beautiful mountains. The house was well equipped, very clean, and the owners provided a detailed list of items you might want to pack from home before we arrived. The owners were very responsive and quick to answer any questions. The house is located on a private drive and we never heard any neighbors. It is conveniently located just a couple miles out of town which made runs to the grocery store easy. This property truly is a little slice of heaven.

Amazing views and truly a little piece of heaven.

This property is in the perfect location for visiting Bryson City. My wife and I definitely needed some rest and relaxation and that’s what we got here. The view is fantastic. The place was exceptionally clean. The hot tub was clean and we had absolutely no issues with it. We didn’t use the fire pit because we were so tired after hiking, etc all day we kept falling asleep! Lol. This was a great location to go visit the town of Bryson City, and to jump across and see the Deep Creek Falls and hike the three waterfall trail. If you need anything, Ingles market is literally a 3 min drive (by the way, they have the best maple donuts I’ve ever tasted in my life)! It’s also cool that you can hear the Smoky Mountain train blowing the horn as it goes by at the bottom of the mountain. We only heard it once a day, but it was really cool. The road was steep coming in, but I’ve been on much steeper so we didn’t have any issues in our car. Just drive slow and don’t stop. The hosts are super responsive and helpful with everything. If you plan to stay here, you will not be disappointed! P.S. We use Waze for directions, and it took us all the way to the front door, which was a nice surprise because we didn’t think they had updated their GPS information.

Peace of Heaven was the perfect choice for our 21st wedding anniversary. Fantastic view, plenty of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy, close to town yet total privacy, and Bryson City is awesome with great food and entertainment options! We enjoyed golf, Deep Creek Falls hiking, and a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Steven and Sue were quick to answer our questions and we can’t wait to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Fantastic views. Extremely well appointed and clean as can be. As the owners have made clear the road up to the home is challenging it’s no problem if you have 4 wheel/all wheel drive. It’s absolutely worth the effort to climb the hill to get to this peaceful, quiet, and exceptional home at the end of the road.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property's setting and view are amazing, and you get to experience it in multiple ways. Whether it is while playing a game on the outside deck, enjoying a peaceful cup of coffee in the morning or viewing it from the hot tub, it is a different and interesting view. The bedrooms and kitchen more than met our needs. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating to any questions we had.

Our family stayed here while vacationing in the area. I have to say this place deserves a rating higher than 5 stars, it is VERY well kept, and perfect in every way! We truly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub overlooking the mountains after a day of hiking. As someone who has rented many vacation homes over the years, I can honestly say this is one of THE BEST places we have stayed yet!

After months of stressing, being physically sick, on top of planning a wedding ... I needed a getaway. Simply just a different view in the morning to drink my coffee. When we parked we didn't move! Cooking is my therapy and the kitchen is my happy place. Our weekend was perfect! My fiance and I ~ My kids Abby & Alex as well as Alex's "bf" he was a great help in the kitchen! My grandmother and my Mother and her puppy and my ours! From a beautiful view to comfy beds and a cool fire pit that has finally inspired him to make one for us!! 😁🙌

The views from the master and living room/hot tub/fire pit really make this place a jewel. Very private. The beds are great! All 3 of my kids could sleep in the kid room. Fireplace is beautiful and so easy. The driveway is definitely exciting! Much scarier than I imagined. I could not look the first couple of times my husband drove up. Great location if you are trying to avoid the touristy traps around the smokies.

We cannot say enough about how great our stay was here. Everything you could need is within 2 miles of the cabin so you don’t have to even worry about bringing supplies as we did. You will want to take an AWD car because you drive up a winding gravel neighborhood road, but when you get to the top the cabin and views are stunning. The owners were prompt with all responses when we had difficulties and resolved everything right away. Take advantage of the fireplace and look at the mountains or go out side on the deck, or even sit in the hot tub and just enjoy the luxurious views. At night make a fire at the fire pit and enjoy the tremendous views of the moon and stars. This cabin is absolutely peaceful and the perfect spot for a break from the fast paced world!!

This is one of my all-time favorite cabins to visit. The cabin seems brand new, and has a lot of modern touches but still has a "cabin in the woods" vibe. And the hot tub view is INSANE! The owners are also very quick to respond to messages and were very nice. Definitely need a 4 wheel drive to get up the hill, like the description says. We will be back!

The owner gave us full warning that the property had a very steep driveway. Even with an AWD drive car we still spun going up the gravel incline of about 13%. Due to this, a steep drop off with no protection for a toddler in the backyard, and no real master bedroom (loft with no privacy) we sadly had to not actually stay in the cabin and find a lodge nearby. We were sharing with another family and this did just not suit our needs. I'm sure that the place is wonderful for a family with older kids or maybe 2 couples, but it is not conducive for a family with young kids. The pictures also make the place look much bigger than what it actually is. The owner was nice and responsive, but this place was not for us nor any other larger family.

The house was in a great location, clean and views are amazing. The pics are real.
