I enjoyed everything about this place. The hospitality was very nice! Amazing area to relax.

The only one minimal disadvantage was that air conditioner worked a bit noisy.

We liked the location, it was near the Catagnan beach,which is a calm sandy beach and the Catagnan BBQ. Its a nice neighborhood with cafes. ATM is near and accessible to tricycle. You can easily go around. The pool was great and refreshing! The villa is well designed and very unique. The living room is such a nice place to hang out and doze off.

Kitchen utensils needs to be updated. You need to wash plates and other utensils first because they are stored in a cupboard underneath and I saw a cockroach there. The upstairs bedroom is not very well insulated and does not keep the cold air conditioner air in because of the gaps in the floor boards and door. The aircon location is also not ideal, its placed at the foot of the bed so you do not feel cool in your sleep. Bed is okay-ish, hard pillows. I had trouble sleeping because the room does not get cold because of the power fluctuations in the island. AC goes on and off and does not get to cool up. Its not the fault of the host but maybe if bed was relocated, it will get more of the cool air and also maybe a bigger electric fan will help. There is a small emergency light electric fan, which was thoughtful but does not give much breeze.

Amazing place in Siargao! Kindest owner, very helpful, very clean and fragrant! There is a swimming pool on site, an outdoor kitchen, you can do laundry and rent a scooter. Tess will help with anything. Great location! I recommend!

I simply loved everything about it. Great location, a haven of green in the yard, great windows to look out onto the yard, and an amazing host. The host also arranged a scooter, and was a quick help when I had questions. Thanks Hygge!

The property is a lovely vibe with a jungly theme to it. The houses are spacious and comfortable with an outdoor kitchen facility. Tess, the property manager, was very helpful and friendly. The wifi was really good in our house.

The shower was HOT!!! Very very hot! Our friends also stayed and their shower was the same! Because of the jungly theme, there was lots of bugs/insects/lizards etc.

Location is away from General Luna main proper. Peaceful and quiet. Miss Tess, the caretaker, is very helpful. She arranged our airport transfer. You can ask her as well to arrange for Island tour. The property is near the famous Catangnan BBQ and a minute drive to Cloud 9.

The narrow road going to the property needs development. It’s hard to drive the motorbike esp during the rainy season.

it’s nice, the Wi-Fi was terrible kept losing connection or not even connecting. Our room wasn’t cleaned while we stayed. However Tess was really nice and helpful and the overall look of the Hotel is really nice.

The Wi-Fi and would of liked our room to be cleaned or at least the bins emptied and Fresh towels.

Hygge was a little oasis! We loved that the whole property is only shared among 4 units, so it felt like we were at an exclusive private venue. Tess, the caretaker, was very friendly and she gave us lots of tips for our whole stay at Siargao. The cottage was comfortable and it was an absolute joy jumping into the pool to cool down after a hot day outside. The entire property is well maintained; clean, full of plants and a pool that is cleaned every day. It's located in between Cloud 9 and the Sunset Bridge, so it's a little away from General Luna centre, but we found it easy to hail a tricycle. We would absolutely consider staying here again next time!

There are a few tips to make your stay even more delightful. Bring toiletries. Bring mosquito coils. Bring battery packs as there could be a blackout which happens once a month or so. You have to fiddle around with the shower tap to get it to the right temperature, but once it's set it's fine although I wish the pressure was a bit stronger. The entrance can be a bit tricky to find, so get in touch with Tess before you leave.

Tess was incredibly helpful and made us feel very welcome. Airport transfer was organised, as well as hiring scooters, and arranged a private island tour. Tess even came to the market with us to buy lunch for the tour and made sure everything ran smoothly. Hygge itself is lovely, quiet and snug, with an outdoor kitchen meaning we could order in/cook for ourselves. Location is also great, near Cloud 9 and Shaka (great for smoothie bowls). Many other great food options nearby also. Definitely get a scooter to give you the freedom to explore!

Hygge was everything you need for a comfortable longer stay. It was quiet, peaceful and well kept. Room cleaning every few days and towel exchange whenever I asked. I had exactly what I was looking for: kitchen with cooking equipment, clean pool, strong wifi and even a desk for working remotely. The place was clean and exactly as photos. There's motorbikes that you can rent. And just overall so aesthetic. Close to the best street BBQ, ATM and surf spots, next door to a gym you can buy a pass for and a quick bike onto the main road into General Luna. I ended up loving Siargao and Hygge so much, I extended for a few more weeks. Thank you to Tess and Jason who made it such a cozy stay.

The accommodation was amazing with excellent facilities, we rented the apartment with two rooms. The host was super friendly and organised our scooters. Close walk to cloud 9.

The road is very bumpy to the accommodation and quite dark, the ladder up to the rooms was very steep.

I booked a room and paid in full, only for all flights to be cancelled and the entire island of Luzon locked down next day due to corona virus. I consider this a "force majure" which nobody could've anticipated or prepared for. It was a week before my scheduled visit so I immediately informed them and cancelled my booking. I figured that the cancellation would benefit both parties as they should be equally concerned about a potential virus-positive guest checking in. I tried to ask for a rain check but they refused to give me a rain check or a full refund. It is definitely not like they lost a chance to rent out the room by my cancellation because Im quite sure that the place was empty anyway given the lockdown. Considering the unusual circumstances I feel quite strongly that they shouldve given me the rain check I requested for, regardless of the type of booking I made or paid for. I booked and paid in good faith and I feel they should've not taken advantage of the situation to my detriment. If this is the way they do business and treat their potential clients, it is not a good indication of their attitude towards business and fairness.
