Food for a 5 star lodge wasnt up to standards

Friendly staff, the manager is very helpful. Clean rooms. Fast laundry. Good location.

Limited food menu

The rooms were spacious and comfortable with great views. The pool and other amenities were pleasant, and the staff was helpful in getting our bookings for activities. The breakfast was also very good.

Dinner service was a bit slow. The booking details promised complimentary sundowner drinks and canapés but we never got these.

I had a packed breakfast which was fine but my wife said there was no bacon and other items available on the menu .

On arrival in our room I observed that the lounge section had not be cleaned as there was still peanuts and other items on the carpet. Without being petty this immediately made me feel uncomfortable because of Covid. I had to ask a waiter twice to wear his mask correctly when serving. No complementary tea or drinks as advertised. No porter to assist when I left in the morning.
