We loved the coziness and friendliness of the hostess. Price-quality very good, very clean.
Next to the house they were workkng so there was a lot of noise from 8 eight o’clock, due to our jetlag we were awake so for us it was not a problem

Elisa, the hostess, was delightful - warm, welcoming, and attentive. Breakfast was provided but was rather sparse (coffee/tea, bread, jam, cereal, and bananas). There was the option to use the kitchen facilities to make your own meal. The inside of the house and courtyard was extremely calm and peaceful, and we felt secure at all times within the home and in the community. The Saturday evening we were there, a community gathering popped up in the park across the road (Park of the Americas), with food trucks, vendor sales, activities for kids, and live entertainment. A large crowd from the community attended and the atmosphere was festive ending with fireworks. A nice perk. the bedroom was decorated with old-world-style furniture. It was clean with high ceilings and large windows with air conditioning in the room.
A slightly more robust breakfast would have been appreciated. Elisa requested cash payment only for the room which we were able to accommodate.

The property is actually located in front of a public park where locals gather for amusement park and are very loud until after midnight. The swimming pool was not clean and there was only one sun bed. unfortunately the breakfast is “continental” in the wrong meaning - you are given not peeled and not chopped fruits, with bread, coffee and tea - for cheaper then that or same price we had great Mexican breakfasts in other places during our trip. the mosquiteers are not holding too well so you have insects in the room

The owner is very sweet lady, genuinely willing to show hospitality. Location and safety of the house are superb. I would stay again in this house, but in one of the ground floor rooms.
We have had the only room that is upstairs, accessable through the backyard and with very steep stairs, not so great when rains and one need to carry on luggage.

A very nice and friendly place, quiet room and courtyard. Although the included breakfast included only items I could not eat with diabetes (white bread, jam and joghurt with sugar), the owner let me prepare my own egg-dish in the kitchen.
Despite having a valid booking, the owner was suprised when I showed up. Luckily a room was available (not the one I booked, but no problem), so I only had to wait a bit until it got cleaned.

it’s a bit far from the city center but no problem to take a taxi for 50 pesos, if you are lazy to haves walk ;)

The room is very big and comfortable. It's not very close to the center of the town but the neighborhood is very nice and suitable for children. The Lady that lives there is very nice and pleasant woman!
The pool is not that big as it is in the photos, it's very small, the garden as well but it's quite and nice. There is a problem with the shower, the water is not hot and strong.

You literally feel like you’re at home here. Elisa is so welcoming and sweet. It’s a fairly local area but you walk a few blocks and there are quite a few cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores. Downtown is about a 30-40 min walk or a short bus ride. Overall a very peaceful and relaxing place to be! I would love to come back here!
I think the kitchen could use more attention as it’s not very sanitary at times-lots of ants all over the place. I had to throw away some of
my food unfortunately

I enjoyed staying in Turix because the house is very clean, the facilities are so nice, and the location is totally different

We have stayed here twice now and it's a perfect home from home. The owner, Elisa, is always welcoming and cannot do enough for you. The beds are comfy, the room spotlessly clean and well equipped and the pool refreshing after a hot day. We highly recommend La Casa del Turix and will be returning again ourselves in a few weeks. Lovely quiet place, comfortable beds and with a wonderful host. It's opposite a fabulous park with street food stalls. Easy to get around the city using buses or UBER. We will definitely stay again.
