Spacious and quiet room. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice church not far away from the accommodation. National park apparently boasts bird life in April and October.

Facilities in the kitchen are lacking (no pot, cutting board, cutting knife). Generally, the place feels outdated and old. Apart from the church, not much to see in the area. I was shocked to learn that there are extremely thin dogs kept as guard dogs in a nearby factory, which are locked up behind a fence without any food, water or shelter the entire day and night. It’s tragic and horrifying the way animals are treated in Greece…

We are a group of Irish brdwatchers who are regular visitors to Macedonia and Thrace. The PL Rooms is a great base for birdwatching in this interesting area. The proprietors are hospitable and helpful. The location is attractive. We will be returning.
