It’s far from other main towns, but very close to the airport.

Bed is a little bit hard

Very nice maison. Pretty quiet. You can enjoy the pool and the cosy rooftop. The host, Manuel is always available and ready to help in whatever you may need. Value for money. recommended

I reached the destination given in the hotel description before midnight, and guess what I find there, nothing but sand and stones the location given by the hotel owner is just in the middle of the sand and stones beside the beach, I look around no buildings. I tried to contact the number, no response. I went on driving and about half a kilometer I found two house-like buildings I went to one of them to ask about the hotel if they can show me the way to it. When I reached one of them, it looked like the same one I booked. I knocked on the door "there is no doorbell", I knocked many times, no answer I finally had to horn with my car, the owner woke up and came out annoyed why I came too late, telling me it would be a new charge for a new day cuz I reached the hotel after midnight "after spending a long time searching for it". My rating is mainly due to the misguidance made by the wrong address on the hotel's description. I hope he changes it. I even recommended to him to put a sign in place of the false address telling them the true one.

We had a great stay in Dar Chick Yahia. Manuel is a great host and the location is perfect.

Location was perfect for our needs- not far from the airport however off the beaten path and away from the crowds. The building authentic and owner attentive and kind. Without his amazing help and recommendations the rest of our trip wouldn’t have been the same! He gave valuable advice on what to visit and places stay- including fair prices for the location and season. A real delight we would recommend to stay here in Djerba.

We enjoyed this place very much. I do have a couple tips to share. GPS does not go right to the location so try to arrive in daylight so you can see the sign. Also, drive the extra 90 minutes to cross on the bridge to get to Djerba. We took the ferry and had to wait more than 2 hours to cross. Others staying here had waited longer. The restaurants in Ajim cater to locals so you cannot get beer or wine. Ask Manuel to procure it for you if needed. He provided some very good Tunisian wine for us at a modest cost. The rooftop deck is lovely in the evening. The pool area is very nice as well. It is about a 30 minute drive to the main town where most of the restaurants are so allow plenty of time. The aircon here works very well! A very relaxing place away from the commotion of the tourist zone!

The breakfast seemed a little meager but was in line with other places we stayed so it may be what the locals eat. Just coffee, cake, a little fruit...
