The staff were immediately very welcoming and helpful The room was exceptionally clean. Food in the bar was excellent, as in well presented, good value and delicious. The bed was comfortable, and seemed independently sprung, so we did not disturb each other much when moving. The shower was brilliant in a very clean bathroom. Breakfast was very very good, and the overall feel of the hotel was relaxed and a nice place to be, with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.

There was nothing to dislike. Anything we might point out would be purely subjective and therefore not fair to share.

Lovely staff and the food was excellent. The rooms are lovely. We stayed in room 4 and it has the best views. Fantastic breakfast and relaxed atmosphere.

Unfortunately the radiator was broken and I couldn't turn it down. Thankfully there is a fan provided in the room which solved the problem. 😀

Really quirky old building that's been modernised. Rooms were a good size and beds were really comfy. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable and breakfast was really good, as was the dinner -portions are huge!

The only thing I would change is the breakfast selection, there seemed to be a gap between full on full English breakfast and small croissant. Some sort of eggs on toast type thing would plug the gap

I'm 6ft tall and couldn't stand under the shower without crouching and it had nowhere to adjust Heard every little noise from room next door, especially toilet flush, but expected in older places like this

All the staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful. We were very well catered for at the wake that we were attending there. The facilities were very clean and warm. The manager ,Oliver, was very hands on and did everything possible to cater for our needs individually and as a large group for the wake and for the party of guests in the evening. The full English breakfast that we had was good quality, well cooked and presented. In short, a lovely place, great location, wonderful staff at all levels and we look forward to returning.

Beautiful setting with fantastic views over the countryside. Good breakfast and staff very friendly. Plenty of parking and local walks available. Plenty of outside seating although the weather was too cold for us to use. We liked having an adjustable heater in our room

Our stay was just an overnight one, en route to another destination. I wanted a low budget hotel because it was just somewhere to sleep for the night and as long as it is clean, comfortable and quiet I am happy, and Cubley Hall delivered on all of these. Whilst I would not choose to stay here for any length of time it was excellent value.

Not advised that you needed to order at the bar . We were shown to our table, given menus and we sat waiting for quite some time before we saw people coming in and ordering at the bar.

Room 7 overlooks an office, a minor inconvenience, just kept that curtain drawn
