Lovely building and a great breakfast

The staff were friendly and helpful, beautiful country house. Breakfast was superb with yummy poached eggs and lots of parking with a good pub recommendation for dinner just up the road.

It is a charity organisation, which we didn't know about They have a shop which is very nice! The staff were really friendly and the breakfast is lovely! It's only minutes from the city centre! I'd stay again.

The country house vibe is lovely, but a few updates are required. We had an extension lead which had overheated and burned through, so maybe the electrics need looking at. But there is not much to complain over.

Felt it was out of the way as it was off the A140 down a small byway and we had to obviously go back out to find supper so it was a little inconveniently positioned.

Very friendly, relaxed, welcoming to us and our dog. The gardens are nice for strolling around. Our room was a great size, much bigger than most other hotel rooms we've stayed in. Lovely vintage furniture and architectural features.

The hotel is in need of more refurbishment in places, but that would not put me off staying as there are so many great aspects.

The room was very cozy and the breakfast was amazing.

Plastic table clothes. The boiler 'tripped out' overnight twice meaning a warm morning shower was not possible.

Could have been warmer in the dining room. Room very small. Poor signage could have been lit. Greeting at reception needs to be worked on, especially as we had travelled a long distance and were tired.

Lovely grand old house, very close to Norwich but far enough away to know you're in the country. Warm and friendly greeting and everything was straight forward and easy. Spacious room with en suite and comfy bed.

No beans served with the full English breakfast, all the rest of the food was great, but no beans 😞 and the air conditioning in the en suite was very dusty but the rest of the cleanliness was great

Enjoyed the breakfasts and being able to cater for vegans. Warm welcome in a beautiful country house that has historical interest, is tastefully decorated and cosy. We knew from the reviews that we would like this hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. It was unfortunate that on our first night there was no electricity or water in our room until late evening but this was beyond the control of the staff and a torch was provided. This didn’t spoil our stay and we intend to return.

The house is beautiful and the location is perfect. The breakfast was really good. The staff very welcoming. Highly recommend a stay here and will stay whenever I visit Norwich

The room size was quite small which was as advertised, personally I would prefer a single bed so there is a little more floor space.

Everything, stayed here a couple of years ago, and standards still as high as ever. Beds are super comfy, and always the breakfasts are fantastic. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

The setting was peaceful and the location was easy to visit Norwich.

I found it gloomy with dark furniture heavy curtains and patterned carpets. Breakfast could have showcased local products rather than resemble every day food I would eat at home.
