Simple hotel in center of Filandia I stayed two nights at this simple hotel that fortunately was a couple of blocks away from the main square, because the town was celebrating its “birthday” that weekend so it was not at all the quiet peaceful town I had imagined. There was music and noise all night for both nights, which I could hear from the distance. Just unlucky… no fault of the hotel. There were plenty of restaurants nearby. The room itself was nothing special. The bed was OK, with plenty of pillows. The receptionist was friendly and helped me carry my small pack to the place where the bus for Armenia left.

There was a TV which didn’t work. According to the staff it was because of heavy rain. The wifi didn’t work at first but later on it did. The included breakfast was OK, but I mentioned the first day that I was surprised there was neither juice or fruit offered. The second morning I was served a dish of very nice papaya! The water in the shower was just warm.

Big room with lots of hooks and a wardrobe. Really nice breakfast of chocolate/coffee arepa, eggs and cheese. Also in a great location, just a block away from the main square

The girl at reception seemed to not like us - I speak a bit of Spanish but she didn’t even try to communicate so at breakfast we were just sat waiting there unsure if we were going to get any because she served people who came later before us and didn’t say anything to acknowledge us. The internet stopped working one afternoon and when I asked they just agreed it wasn’t working, no apology, nothing to say they were trying to fix it. The hot water in the shower lasts 2 minutes.

unfortunately our room had poor ventilation so when you shower the humidity lingers - you need to open the windows but our room faced the street on main floor so this was not easy.

Well located little Hotel, with great staff. We arrive by car and the parking lot is close to it. Comfortable bed and clean room. Good breakfast with arepas, fruits, eggs, and cheese. Miss the coffee the first morning but got it in our breakfast the second one, just need to ask. that’s funny because you expect to have coffee being in the coffee region. Must thank Hugo for all his help.

The neighbors next door have a Hen House, and we had a Rooster crowing every hour from 2:30 am till 4:30 am, so we couldn't sleep so well. That's very common in the countryside and little towns around Colombia. Also out of control for the Hotel owners. So bring earplugs!

Good value and away from centre

No glass in the windows so the party til 4am just up the road didn’t let us sleep.

The room was extremely pleasant, with a tree directly outside the window visited regularly by birds. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and the shower was great .. hot and with plenty of space.

A mattress cover would have been welcome as the mattress had the usual plastic covering, which is quite sweaty.

Beautiful hotel in excellent location! We booked the Deluxe room with garden view and large double bed – the room was spacious, very clean and nicely decorated. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there, again! Good breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff! Thank you!
