Our second stay at the hotel. Great location for our visit. Very clean. All the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Sunderland lost to Millvall 0:1, but this is not what the hotel could influence :)

The view was pretty rubbish we looked onto a roof , not a major issue but the receptionist did let us check in early so didn’t mind , it was also very quiet during the night

The room smelled musty , the windows don’t open and the pillows were awful far too soft so didn’t sleep great

I thought the food & bar prices were very expensive.

It was a lovely place, very comfortable and clean. Check in seamless. I liked that I could leave my car just outside due to my disability.

The check in and restaurant staff were lovely but bar staff a little distant and bordering on rude. I think it’s possible they knew I was an away football supporter just here for the match. I wonder if they might be a bit nicer if I had a Sunderland shirt on? Those supporters were, by my observation, treated a bit nicer!!

The hotel was lovely, room was clean and facilities were good.

The room was very warm and needed ventilation. Obviously you couldn’t open the windows so we were uncomfortable as the air conditioning didn’t seem to work at all, it wouldn’t come on and we couldn’t get it to work. Woke in the morning after a very uncomfortable night feeling hot and sticky and the windows were dripping in condensation. Also mould on the ceiling in our room.

Very friendly and helpful staff. A lovely choice of breakfast and the staff in the restaurant were very efficient and helpful. The hotel was spacious and clean and we had a smooth check in and check out.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable compared to a previous hotel in the same chain. Not enough disabled parking spaces by the hotel.

1-The pillows are very uncomfortable . 2-We reserved king size bed and we ended in very small double bed. 3-No air extractor in the Bathroom.

Breakfast on first morning - overcooked / reheated even at 6am. There was no fridge in the room - some lights didn’t work I’d asked for the room to be remade as the 2nd guest was changing from being me and my bridesmaid to me and my husband on our wedding night, this did not happen and we were disappointed

Not easy to control heating. Was actually too warm to sleep but worked it out on the second day. Can’t open windows. Pillows too soft and no extra pillows in room

First of all I want to say that the staff at this hours were fabulous. Very friendly and more than happy to help you.

We had 3 rooms for 2 nights each so paid around £600 for the stay ….. not cheap. However the main issue was that there was a huge group of under 15 footballers there. Not a problem however it was impossible to grab a quick breakfast on both days as they were literally swarmed around the food area totally oblivious to other people waiting to get food. Once they had cleared off there was of course nothing left at the self service unless you waited for 10 minutes having already waited for 15 minutes to get there….. not very well organised As a result the breakfast we paid extra for ended up being some fruit and a coffee. My suggestion for such a large group is to allocate a meeting room to them. I’m annoyed with myself that I’ve ended up Paying for breakfast for 4 of us on both days and basically had fruit…… not great Finally what on earth are you thinking in relation to pricing in your “ shop” …..£4.50 for a deodorant that costs £1.50 in a shop and I kid you not £2.50 for the very tiny multi bag packet of haribos ….. come on Hilton this is absolute robbery and not acceptable.
