Check in was nice as Shuji san was accommodating my late arrival. Guesthouses are a different experience for solo travelers. Facilities were clean and cleaned daily. Staff was nice and helpful.

Hard to find at first. Location far from station and no transportation to place after 5/6pm.

Everything available what you need! Very good location accessible by JR bus. Around 6pm very quiet environment. The owner is always willing to provide information and seems to enjoy hosting guests.

Shuji is a kind and helpful host. Facilities are clean and comfortable and the location is brilliant.

This is the best guesthouse i ever stay. The room is very clean and comfortable. The location is in Higashi Chaya so we just have to walk to see traditional houses. Mr Shuji is very kind person. He treated us like family. He drove us to the station in the morning. He took us to the bus stop and help me recording our first snow rain moments with my phone’s camera. Thanks a lot Mr Shuji

The Hostel Owner is so nice! He helped us with the bus to Shirakawago and gave us important recommendations for Kanazawa! The hostel is in a very good condition with clean facilities and has everything you need!

It was the 3rd time I stayed at Stella GH and I always loved it. The location its perfect and its very quiet at night. If you want to come to Kanazawa its the place to stay.

We felt very welcomed and were given wonderful advice about places to visit and how to get around. The hostel was extremely clean and tidy and the room was spacious.

Shuji, the owner was friendly and welcoming! Shuji provided me with a free upgraded room for my stay as it was available at the time. He helped carry my luggage to my room, provided me with a hand annotated map with all his recommendations, answered all my queries about Kanazawa, and he even drove me to the Kanazawa Station on check out for my Shinkansen. Shuji’s hospitality was beyond exceptional and the accommodation was flawless! I could not recommend Guesthouse Stella enough 😁

The owner is so friendly, upon check-in, he gave me ample information about Kanazawa! There is free coffee/tea and a little kitchen. Walking distance from the beautiful famous garden, Kenrokuen, the castle, places to eat.

The room was a bit chilly at night, but there were a lot of covers and the bed in the solo room was very comfy.

Very nice location, in the Chaya District. Bright room with big window and sink in the room.

The futon was very comfortable!

Kanazawa guesthouse Stella is just a short walk away from the Kanazawa castle and Kenrokuen gardens and right beside the Higashi Chaya district with old buildings where lots of local Japanese girls hire Kimonos for the day and walk around the area. The host was very welcoming and friendly and the room and facilities were very clean and comfortable.
