Ginganga Lodge is an amazing propety, staff and owner are very hospitable and made me feel very welcome . The rooms are beautifully decorate, lovely antique interior feel, very spacious, super comfortable and clean . Nature all around you jungle feel is unique and magical far away from the noise of the roads ! I highly recommend staying here, a bit of luxury boutique feel in the jungle. The pool is fantastic size and lovely seating/ sun beds all around . The food was exceptional no need to leave the property they cater for all needs . book yourself a massage one of the best I have ever had !

Ginganga Lodge is a very unique en cozy place. It feels as if you’re in the middle of the jungle; taking a shower with monkey hanging above you in the trees. So nice! Also the service here is at very high level, everything is well organized and they really try to help with anything.

There are animals everywhere (something we really liked), but off course some insects are no exception. So if can’t handle insects at all, this is maybe not the place for you.

Really beautiful gem! It is more beautiful than on the pictures! we stayed at a room with the (wooden) Terrasse facing the jungle. you are in the jungle with a lot of birds and monkeys around and the light and Ambiente is magnificant! we are there every night because the food is better than Outside! The Pool is amazing! allthiugh it is full of antiques and made out of wood it is very clean! great Service! the Outside bathroom was so beautiful! local people are using this place to take their Wedding pictures. always very respectful to the guests.

you have to be aware that you are in the jungle! for us, this was what we wanted! but there are animals, mosquitos and nature everywhere when you are Outside. I would not let food or expensive things Outside the room as birds and other animal might play with it. In the room there is no Problem! you have a mosquitonet and no animal inside. You have to get a tuktuk to get somewhere as the property is in the jungle and quite Outside the beaten paths. the owner himself drives and picks you up anytime you like.

Comfort, beauty of the surroundings, it is an oasis of calm in the countryside but Indika makes it easy with transport to Galle whenever you want

I loooved this property! it’s so unique and the stuff is so friendly and helpful. We stayed for two days and wish we had more days there.. There food is delicious (breakfast&dinner) and is super cheap! If we will ever visit Sri lanka again.. definitely will have a stay there

The Ginganga Lodge is a very peaceful place full of charm just 10minutes by TukTuk from Galle fort. The rooms are lovely decorated with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are outdoor, which I loved. The staff are so helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they did everything to make sure we were comfortable. Try the local curry breakfast, it is delicious!

Ginganga lodge is a beautiful oasis in Galle. We were in awe of how beautiful the the resort is and the owners have taken great care in decorating the place with antiques to make it so special and unique. This is truly a 5* accomodation and the staff go out of their way to look after you, providing well priced tuktuks to anywhere you need and we even used the laundry service. We took part in a Christmas BBQ and traditional dance show which was an unforgettable experience with fireworks and seafood extravaganza - thank you Ginganga for making our last stop in Sri Lanka Unforgettable! This place will exceed all your expectations ❤️

This is an eco-hotel, beautiful, decorated with antique pieces and traditional furniture from srilanka. The hotel is surrounded by forest and we found many monkeys and exotic birds in the gardens. The room was huge and beautiful. Indika and his wife are exemplary hosts, very cordial and always willing to provide us the best stay. The hotel sells handicrafts from Sri Lanka and it was there that I bought my Christmas presents to bring to my country. Indika even took us to a local wood carver where we bought a wonderful wooden elephant, which reminds us at home of our fantastic journey through Sri Lanka . Indika has a tuk-tuk and took us to some beaches on the coast of Galle and to a fabulous Buddhist temple. Many thanks Mr Indika for your hospitality and concern to make our stay memorable.

You will be surprised how good this place is. The staff is exceptional and better than in 5 star hotels. Rooms are clean and all facilities work flawlessly. Beautiful garden all around you and you can have a real connection with nature. There is always someone available to give you a ride to the town/beach for a reasonable price. Restaurant has one of the best meals in Sri Lanka and meals are improved every day by your preference. Extra ++ The owner of this place goes beyond to make your stay the best one and exceptional wifi connection!

Breakfast could have more options. After few days you will want to eat something else. There are frequent wedding photo shootings. For me personally, I dont mind, but some could find this distracting.

The deluxe room and the Jungle surrounding are absolutely beautiful. The room was super clean and smelled good. Staff and owners are really attentive. Vegan breakfast was no problem and we were able to try a lot of local foods. Indika drop us off in Galle Fort with his tuktuk for free and explained some places there. Only the ride back was 700 rupees. I dont know if this is the normal way or because we had a complain on the same morning. He even bought us a local snack on our way back. If you are using the pool you get drinking water and maybe a fresh coconut from the garden. We looked forward to relax at the pool after ruff years and stayed for three nights. We were able to Check-in earlier and use the pool on the last day after Checkout.

Unfortunately it was'nt so relaxing as we hoped. On our First day another group of tourists played loud music at the pool with their own boombox. On the second morning we woke up at 8 o' clock by a DJ and woodworking outside. After breakfast on our terrace we saw the reason: A local engagement party. No sunbeds anymore and a huge DJ setup next to the pool. Indika apologized and explained about the difficult situation after Covid and the economic crisis. He said the party is until 4 o' clock. So we decided to go to Galle Fort on this day. I wished someone had told us the day before, so we were able to plan. During the other days a lot of local day tourists came. We love to get in touch with locals. But if i am at the pool in a bikini and two different groups of men without women taking pictures or even filming me with their Gopro i feel really uncomfortable. As soon as i put on clothes they stopped. The last time i used the pool i got in with a t-shirt like the local women. On the last day they prepared another party (1st Birthday) with a DJ setup at the afternoon. So i guess the owners and ourselfs were happy that we leave. As a travel agent i didn't experience something like that in 14 years. We can understand the difficult situation, but i guess that big local partys and a eco jungle hideaway in the nowhere doesnt match. One last thing: If you are a light sleeper, maybe the cheaper rooms are better. The deluxe rooms have one (beautiful) woodfloor together. You can feel every step while laying in bed and also can hear anything.

The Service and Food were excellent, as was the environment - the property had plenty of birds around to take some interesting shots...

The approach road gave us the impression that this was a, ummm, not an above the board place... or a place that rents its rooms out hourly. We were wrong. More in the review I plan to write...

I loved the rooms and the pool

Everything! I can't express how much this stay exceeded our expectations! We got a taxi to the property and after going down several side streets you enter the jungle and from there it is heaven. The staff are so helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they did everything to make sure we were comfortable. While we sat round the pool we were brought cold water and towels without asking for them. While we were getting ready in the evenings the staff brought us umbrellas when it was raining and the food was delicious. The rooms were big and beautifully decorated, the aircon was good as was the WiFi. During the power cuts they had a backup generator so we always had power. We were taken to Galle Fort and shown around the area before being dropped off and a taxi was arranged to take us to the airport too. On our last day we weren't flying until late and even though they were fully booked they kept a room available as long as possible so we were able to get a shower before heading to the airport. Everything was perfect and the owners have done an amazing job! 100% recommend!

Nothing the property and staff were amazing. I would recommend taking good bug spray though as there were some bugs around with it being near water a lots of trees.

Great place to stay. Very nice pool, comfortable bed and a fantastic open air shower. Sometimes you can see monkeys climbing in the trees from the shower. It's a very good place to relax and enjoy some laid back time.

The setting is beautiful, the rooms are lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay as good as possible. We loved the outdoor showers and the pool. The breakfast is great and we also had a delicious dinner one night.

Amazing guesthouse on the outskirt of Galle. This is possibly the nicest accommodation I have stayed in. The room was big and beautiful with an amazing shower. I had a great few nights sleep there, the only noise being what sounding like monkeys on the roof :) The staff were very attentive and lovely, the food was great and there is a dog that reminded me of Scooby Do :)!! The guesthouse is around a 10 min tuk tuk journey (which the owner can arrange for you) from Galle so it is not central, but it my honest opinion, I would prefer to stay in a guesthouse of this standard and arrange a tuk tuk into town everyday. I would definitely stay here again

Beautifully-designed property, so there were numerous wedding photoshoots and one actual local wedding during my one day stay

When I arrived I asked a staff member to advise me what regular TukTuk price for this location is, but he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. As I later found out, I was ripped off by a TukTuk driver who lied to me about the fee that "everyone pays" to get there from the railway station. When I checked out, I asked the owner to help me arrange a taxi for my next location and he offered hid friend's car that is double the price of the standard taxi rate. I felt like a walking cash machine with everyone trying to extract as much money from me as possible. So it left a very sour aftertaste from the stay.

Amazing interior design, superb relaxing atmosphere and great staff ! would have loved to stay longer but will definitely come back !!

It was so beautiful! The rooms, the quit surrounding. And the pool was lovely. We also really liked that you could go discover in the nature and you come across a tree house where you can watch the wild life.

Breakfast was good, but for dinner you can better find a place in Galle fort.
