The staff is wonderful and very responsive. The beach was great 👍. The chef is exceptional (thanks for the fish sandwiches). I'm not surprised by the level of service because the owner (Jawla) sets the standards. I was there for a ' working Holiday' but I'm honestly glad I stayed at Rainbow 🌈. Thank you guys for the wonderful memories! Definitely coming back.

If you have reliable transportation, then this place is perfect.

Location and Food

Good English breakfast for 350 dalassi, right on the beach, happy staff, long beach, watch the boats going out and coming in with their catch. Good size room with hot water shower. Cheer full staff.

Room has no security, you can lock the door but there are about 2 or three windows that just slide open, no locking on them. There are security people who do walk about.

The location is wonderful. Right on the beach and the workers are nice. Sang was very attentive, polite, friendly and kind. He always wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. He answered questions I had about the area and was the perfect worker. I hope to see him working there in the future when we return. The value for what we paid for was good. It was so nice to have air conditioning and a fan in the room.

The bathroom door in our room could not close, it always wanted to stay open. It's nice to have privacy when you go to the toilet and it was very hard to do so when the door would not shut. We always had to put something heavy behind the door to close it. We could not get wifi in our room, which was really annoying. We had to stand outside in 1 area to get it and often would get bit by mosquitoes while catching the wifi. Also the ants made such a mess every morning next to the door.

Perfect location, friendly staff, great food and affordable prices. Local transport can be arranged at good price, even wifi works fine. The bathroom has hot water (but it must be switched on by a hot water switcher which is located outside of the room).

location is beautiful. we enjoy the simplicity. it’s clean and friendly. showers are hot. food was great. staff really helpful. thumbs up from us

Blankets need to be available and some of the pillows are unusable. It was cold at night and we had to use the bath towels as extra covers and bundles of clothing as pillows.

room ( even basic ) good for my 20 nights, everythink working and clean. now ( unlike my stay in October and November last year ) good wifi on weekdays ( weekends to many people using it ) good food, this time also Indian yummy food. during the week after the drummings good quiet nights for sleeping. owner always available if any problem would be.

the smell from the fish factory some meters away. that,s really bad many times. the daily ( late afternoon ) noise from the ( new ) drumming school and same time the drumming from the neighbour resort. the dirty beach ! the sandy area from the premises could be cleaned more. plastic, cigarettes, cans.... e.g.

Just be careful with paying at the restaurant (usually you don't pay straight away, it's done at the end of a day or your stay). They might add to your bill some things you didn't order.

Rooms are small and worn. Everything out door needs repainting. Food taste less and simple. Too expensive related to quality. On top of that the prize from confirmation was not valid. They charged extra €20 in fee for booking through Booking. Claimed that the prize given was the company's remuneration. Then they added €20 for Booking fee. It was impossible to discuss it. Just to pay extra.

The room was very basic but clean. Worked out to be approx £13.40 for the night so cannot complain Breakfast was nice and served swiftly. There was a ceiling fan in room and Mosquito net above bed which was most welcomed. Staff were attentive and very friiendly

My room was located close to the car park and that particular might there was reggae night close by rainbow and many drivers used rainbow carparks...very noisy choice of room with cars coming going. Next time I will request a room away from car park

location and value for money

Due to covid I know they haven't earned the money to do painting from the rainy season but I am sure that will be done in time , this is only on the exterior walls which does happen in The Gambia after the rainy season

The place is very nice and calm. The rooms are good and the staff was very cool and helpful.

The owner was very friendly and courteous to me, I like him much. The two male waiter very very friendly to me.👍 The cleaning staff very friendly to me.👍 Cleaning every two days everything in my room and bathroom very thorough!👍 Most time cause still low season very quiet, great for my relaxing.

the last two days were fully booked with Gambian doctors than in the morning no water for shower and.... toilet 🙄😷😂
