Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Our first night in the home, there were several things the housekeeper had missed (primarily bathrooms, as there was gray/black gunk in the sink and a visibly dirty toilet and shower), and I noticed many cockroaches running around the kitchen and coming out of the outlet covers. We ended up doing a deep clean on the kitchen, including pulling out the appliances and setting out many roach traps and sprayed insecticides. During the deep clean, we found open food in the cabinets that may have been drawing bugs in. We notified Rita of the infestation and she was very responsive, but not able to get an exterminator during our 2 week stay. There were also many spiders in the upstairs bathroom, likely due to the birds roosting above the master bath toilet area because the vent cover was missing. Rita was responsive about this and said she scheduled someone to come repair the vent cover after we left. Positives of the stay were the grounds (we have stayed in the Na Hale complex before), and Rita always responded to our messages and plans to reimburse us for cleaning supplies and our cleaning fee. I would stay here again if there was a different housekeeper and there wasn’t a bug problem. I’m sure it will be better after a bit of repairs and pest control!

This place had it all. Beach toys, snorkeling gear, water shoes, beach towels and beach chairs and umbrellas. 13 minute walk from a really great snorkeling spot, saw a lot of fish. Also really close to stores/shops just up the hill. The pool is very nice. There is also a nice farmers market near Longs drugs got some good local fruits (not sure how often they do it, maybe just weekends)

Our stay at Rita’s was great. Communication, ease of access, and location are the reason’s for my rating.

It’s well stocked with all the beach and snorkeling gear and accessories. Kitchen is also very well stocked. Beds are comfortable, it met our needs and our family really enjoyed the stay.

Property was absolutely gorgeous and so spacious. All conveniences of home. Rita’s suggestions of things to do , eating places, luau, etc were the best. Rita was very accommodating and easy to work with. Will definitely recommend her condo and will probably return in the future. So close to most things. Thanks Rita for making our trip the best!

We had not had a family vacation in some time. We picked Hawaii and the Big Island. I searched around not knowing much and we absolutely scored with this property and host!! What a great condo and amenities!! Rita was fantastic and extremely communicative with me. She was quick to respond and very pleasant to work with. The place itself was very clean and the location was perfect for being on the Kona side of the island. I would definitely recommend and go back if and when we do. Perfect for a large family like ours. Please really consider this place if you’re looking around!!

Very nice 10 day get away! The place was well supplied with beach chairs, beach towels & boogey boards. Our BIG disappointment was both pool keys were missing from the condo. A card was required to get in & out of pool/exercise area. For our entire stay Rita could not get this resolved! We definitely would have been in the pool every night. The pool/exercise area was a big part of our decision for choosing Rita’s condo. Unfortunately no refund was offered when this advertised feature wasn’t available to us!

Great location

This home is very comfortable with air conditioning. The location is wonderful. The pools are beautiful and clean. There’s lots of beach, chairs, toys, snorkel gear, etc. Also, plenty of cooking supplies and spices. Our family had a wonderful time. We would stay there again.

We came to Hawai’i to watch our son graduate from UH Hilo but decided to stay on the Kona side to make it a nice vacation. and what a vacation! Condo was perfect for a family of 5; having 3 bathrooms was a must. Lots of room and a nice lanai for our morning coffee. Also had some equipment for the beach which was nice. Location was close to everything which is a plus. Rita was a gracious host . I would highly recommend this condo if you are coming to Kona area.

Found out less then 24 hours before arriving that the pool would not be available the whole time we were in Kona. That was one of amenities we were looking forward to. My friends and family were VERY disappointed. That was what my friends & I were going to do hang by the pool and relax. Maintenance should be a set schedule or at least be given notice maybe sooner so we could book elsewhere. As for the actual place it was very nice, good location and accommodated us well.

We loved this condo for Grandparents, Parents and 3 kids (age 11-14) Very roomy and comfortable! Had all the kitchen necessities ( minus a can opener). They even an extra mini fridge in the utility room. Lots of beach gear (4+ chairs, umbrellas, sand toys and snorkel gear, etc. ) Lovely pool and hot tub very near the unit and the nightly sunsets were wonderful! Rita was easy to deal with and I thank her for the beautiful space. I would suggest an extra pool key could be added for convenience.

This condo was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Plenty of space, and the views are amazing!

The property was everything we expected. The property manager was responsive and excellent. We will be renting it again next year!

We booked late and were happy to find this treasure. It was better than pics showed. The owner was also a delight to work with.

We loved this property - had everything you could possibly need. Rita was wonderful and and we had a great time. However, the unit needs a deep clean and new sheets.

The condo worked great for our family. Brought my mom (84) along with us so having the downstairs bed/bath worked out good. Had coffee on the lanai every morning and you get a perfect view of the sunset in the evening. Everything we needed the condo seemed to have… beach chairs (4), lots of water shoes in a lot of different sizes, two good size coolers, snorkel gear (although we brought our own). If you want to be down in the area where the shopping, food, etc are it’s about 15 to 20 minute drive. There is a shopping center right above the condo with a grocery store, Longs drugs, and a few food options. Thanks Rita

Very clean, quiet home with every possible kitchen item you might need. The pictures online do not do justice to the setting. Convenient location with easy access to grocery stores, pharmacy and restaurants

The accommodations were fantastic - plenty of space for all of us, with privacy when needed. Everything we needed was available to us in the kitchen and made it convenient to cook our meals. Great place to stay.

Overall the experience was great. Unit was beautiful. Only have two minor complaints. The first being not sure why the pool is heated. Secondly, some areas of the unit could use a little more attention when it comes to cleanliness. In addition I offer this suggestion, some type of stick vacuum would make it so much easier keeping the floors clean. However with all that said I would definitely stay there again. PS, the owner was very attentive to our needs.

In the wise words of my nine-year-old son, "I loved it! That was the best place!" I'm still amazed at the value we had for our money. Rita's place has an excellent pool just steps away, plenty of space for two families of four (ages from 6 to 13), and, one of the best parts, all kinds of beach toys like snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, parasols, beach chairs, beach mats, and beach towels. The flexibility of the space was also perfect for us. In one room we had three of four kids, and adults in the other two rooms. Our oldest, 13, used the quality inflatable bed downstairs. Additionally, Rita is very responsive and caring in her role as host. We loved it! Thank you, Rita!

This beautiful townhouse was perfect for our stay, it was 3 adults and 4 older teenagers. The space was perfect, and the garage being stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers made it extra convenient. I look forward to returning and staying here again.

The 3BR, 3 bath fit our needs so our 18 year son and his female best friend each had their own space. We brought googles and scuba gear but there are many available on the property. We used the pool and hot tub which were clean and nice. We went boogie boarding and used the boards and chairs from the house, there are also swim shoes and many beach toys for younger children . Very convenient to not have to rent or buy these things. The views off the porch are beautiful. The beds were very comfy. The only thing that could be better is an upgraded stove(it’s very unattractive and looks dirty but isn’t, and new carpet-which is also very worn and looks dirty). There are plenty of towels for showers and the beach. It's a close drive to the downtown main shopping area. You can walk to a smaller strip mall that also has dining and a grocery store. There are paths on the road for walking or biking too. The owner was super attentive and responsive. It’s a great place to stay.
