Locatie: vreselijk dorpje. Je moet echt de auto pakken om naar een leuke plek te gaan want Arcola is echt een treurig dorp. Weggetje naar het huis en specifiek de ‘oprijlaan’. Inrichting huis: wel een bankje maar hierbij dan geen tafel zodat je niet gezellig binnen kan zitten (wat wij wel moesten omdat het regende). De hele inrichting leek van de kringloop gehaald. Ook in de keuken, bijeengeraapt zooitje. Koffie-apparaat werkt alleen met speciale capsules die je nergens kunt kopen. We kregen er (toen we er om vroegen) zo waar een paar van de eigenares, die er wel een paar keer bij vertelde wat ze kostten. Gammele trap naar boven. We hadden ons bij het boeken iets teveel laten beïnvloeden door recensies van anderen over het mooie uitzicht. Ook dit viel tegen, we hebben op onze vakantie veel mooiere uitzichten gehad. Als uitvalsbasis voor oa Cinque Terre gekozen maar je kunt dan veel en veel beter in bijv Lerici zitten. We zagen er elke dag tegenop om weer naar het huisje te gaan. En zijn zelfs een dag eerder vertrokken. De eigenares nam niet de moeite om te vragen hoe we het gehad hadden en waarom we eerder vertrokken, daarom hebben we besloten om het dan maar op deze plek toe te lichten.

We loved our stay. It was such a good spot for us to base ourselves while exploring Cinque Terra. The view was even better than expected. We enjoyed a nice picnic on the balcony. Very comfortable with everything we needed to cook our own dinner, wash our clothes and relax. Easy parking and the hosts were very hospitable and friendly. We feel like we had a true Italian local experience. We will be back!

Steep stairs if you have mobility issues

I was there for the second time. Everything was as great as before. Hospitable hostess and nice view. Located a little away from the crowds.

This fairy-tale accommodation in Arcola was one of the stops on our Italian trip. A truly authentic, fairy-tale milieu and every detail of the cottage is lovable and romantic. I recommend it from the bottom of my heart, we would stay at the same place another time. Wish we could have stayed longer! Everything was beyond expectations, we were surrounded by the Italian feeling of life. The sense of cleanliness and homeliness is perfect, the equipment was also: coffee maker, oven, all kitchen utensils, washing machine, clothes dryer and hair dryer in the house. Upon our arrival, we easily reached Franca on the phone, who lives next door with her family and welcomed us with true Italian kindness, then showed us around. The location is also truly exceptional due to its orientation, as there is a wonderful view of the old town from the garden and the upstairs terrace from the bedroom. Several times we had breakfast and dinner in a romantic candlelit atmosphere in the courtyard among the olive trees and flowers, or we sat out on the upstairs terrace to have coffee and enjoy the panorama. All was perfect, comfort accomodation, friendly owner, easy agreements, lovely locality and views, bus till 10min. I like to return for longer;)))
