Very friendly staff. Customer service was top class. The team went out of their way to help us. The food menu was also very good.

Nothing. It exceeded my expecations

I had to go to Tabaka for work and Itibo proved the perfect solution as I did not want to stay in Kisii and there are not hotels in Tabaka and Itibo is exactly half way between the two. It is very quiet and peaceful as there are no bars near so the nights were perfect. I was travelling alone and felt very safe and secure here. The Manager and his team were very friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautifully kept and the little cottage I stayed in had plenty of hot water and was spotlessly clean. All in all Itobo was great and when I go back I will definitely return.

Best place to stay in Kisii. Quiet, comfortable and clean and lovely gardens. Very friendly staff who couldn't do enough. Rooms were very comfortable with hot water and mosquito nets.

1. Beautiful environment within the Resort. The landscaping is excellent. Grass is green. The African-inspired architecture is impressive. The online photos are actually a true reflection of the property. 2. Spacious room and bathroom. 3. Excellent staff. From the guard at the gate to the receptionists to the housekeeper to the restaurant staff, they were all warm, welcoming, and respectful. Absolutely impressive. They all went out of their our way to make our stay comfortable. 4. Fresh and well cooked African food. The breakfast had items like matoke, samosas, and arrowroots. The deep-fried whole fish that we had for dinner on our second night was excellent! 5. We were pleasantly surprised when we found our car washed in the morning. This is a very creative free add-on service that meant a lot to us. 6. With the exception of the incident mentioned below, the Resort is remarkably quiet. It was very refreshing to get away from the noise & bustle of the City and enjoy the peace & tranquility of the countryside. We had a restful and memorable stay. If we are in Kisii again, we will definitely be returning to Itibo Resort! Please keep up the very good work that you are doing.

1. We arrived at the Resort at night and had never been there before. We therefore relied on the Google Map directions, which, unfortunately, were a bit misleading. After Suneka town, the directions take you along a rough earth road that we discovered the following day is actually parallel to the well paved Kisii-Rongo highway! We got lost a couple of times trying to find our way. The Google Map directions also end past the main gate (which is not clearly labeled) and lead to the back entrance of the property, which is unmanned at night. Our suggestions: a) Correct the Google Maps route so that after Suneka Town, one drives along the Highway until where there is a big ‘Itibo Resort’ sign. b) Correct the end of the directions so that they terminate at the Main Entrance. c) Clearly label the Main Gate. 2. On Saturday morning, at exactly 7:45am, we were woken up by very loud music from the neighborhood Church. Thankfully, this did not go on for very long, but it didn’t make sense why the music was so loud.
