Due to personal issue, I wanted to change my reservation date. Even if it was my fault, I contacted the hotel to check the feasibility to change the reservation period. Unfortunately no special treatment was accepted. So I was charged for 216 € without compensation.

Everything! Location was perfect hiking and getting up to the salt mine. Short walk away from main shops so didn’t feel super busy and crowded. Yummy breakfast spread, easy self check in. Our room was huge and had special touches like robes, a bottle of water which were lovely touches.

Our only negative was the wifi didn’t work.

Tastefully furnished, spacious rooms in a main building and a "garden house". Good location close to parking lots 1 and 2, funicular to the Salt Mine, and the old town. Great breakfast with eggs made to order.

The host was warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was amazing!

Our room was a bit loud, right on the street, so if you're a light sleeper, ask for a room around back.

WE LOVED THE ROOM - IT'S NOT GOOD FOR ONE THAT CAN'NT TAKE CLIMB STAIRS. LOCATION IS VERY GOOD - NEAR THE TOWN PARKING. BREAKFAST IS GOOD AND THE LADY THAT IS MANGENING THE PLACE IS REALY NICE.

The hotel is in a perfect location right near the funicular to go up to the salt mine which is not to be missed. The room is spotlessly clean, beds super comfortable, nice hot showers, friendly helpful staff. Good price for such an excellent hotel. Breakfast included is a lovely bonus. Definitely would stay again. Ticked all the boxes.

Breakfast was fabulous! Had an amazing homemade apple streusel. And we loved the hotel staff. Room was great & location perfect.

Check in experience was a bit odd, as there was no one at the desk so we just walked in and took our key.

Fenix is a lovely, modern, comfortable hotel. While this hotel does not have the views of other hotels situated by the lake, it is extremely comfortable and conveniently located. I stayed at those 'by the lake' hotels in Hallstatt that gave you great views but most are old, wooden and small (especially the bathrooms) with questionable water pressure. The room I had in Fenix is big, bright, clean, and great water pressure for showers. They also provided the softest bath robes ever. Breakfast was basic but quality is quite high. The owner used to stay in Singapore for 7 years and we had a great time chatting about her time back in Singapore. The next time I am back in Hallstatt, there is only one hotel that I will book and that will be Fenix.

Nothing really. Although I find it cute that their room keys are quite big. So bring a bag to keep the room keys if you are venturing out during the day.

Super friendly host! Great chatting with her. Very good location a few minutes walk to center of town and right down the street from the Salzwerk, which was fantastic. Awesome bed! Slept so well.

No fault but check before traveling if the ferry is running. If not, it’s easy to use a bus or taxi.

The staff was so kind, the place is beautiful and the breakfast was excellent.
