Yvette went above and beyond to give a second set of keys which we really appreciated

The extra bed provided wasn’t very comfortable for a tall person maybe better for a smaller child

We had a great stay and would love to come back. The owner met us with so much kindness and warmth despite the fact that we arrived much later than we thought. The location was perfect for our family with a grocery store around the corner and a variety of restaurants nearby. There are several cycling paths to choose from. It's an easy ride through the dunes to the beach or through farmlands to the city of Alkmaar. Overall, we had a lovely weekend cycling and exploring the area.

Everything about this place is great, We were received by the owner of the place with a really big smile on her face, even if we arrived quite late in the evening. The apartment is super clean It has coffee and a good shower A lot of parking places around

Everything was excellent. The location, the position, the charming interior and above all, Francisca the host. She has been friendly and warmly, proactive, and of great and prompt help when needed. We exceptionally needed emergency medical services (with us not being a Dutch family) and through her guidance everything looked like simple and easy to go through. We will for sure come back. Yvette who hosted us was lovely. The location of Karel de Grote is however great as it is very close to the beautiful city center of Bergen and its nice restaurants. All commodities in walking distance.

The situation of the apartment no2 was not exceptional: the view was right in front of the delivery part of a supermarket - deliveries starting at 6:30am (not that great when on holidays)... In addition the bedroom had no window which made it impossible to get some air during the night or light during the day. Too bad it was not possible to see/know this during the online booking and very disappointed to have to pay such a high price for such a view!

Located in the lively village center close to the restaurants and shops. Close to nature and several beach locations. The apartment is a well restored farm house with all modern facilities available.
