This is an amazing cottage with an incredible view of the Yaquina Bay. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and even a huge pot for boiling our fresh caught crabs. Plenty of space for our needs with a huge bathroom. The area was really quiet and yet close to everything. We definitely plan on returning in the near future.

I loved how easy it was to book and easy to find. Very clean and easy access to the bay front nice walk down there. It was quiet and the view was awesome. I also liked how you could hear the sea lions.

Small older home overlooking the bay. Ideal for one or two people. Well stocked, in good shape and very clean. Easy walk to bayfront and short drive for beach access.

My wife and I spent 4 nights here in the Arden cottage. It was as advertised. Very nice views, close to everything. We liked the stove in the living room, cheerful as well as warming. The heated bathroom floor was also very nice. We had a great experience!

Nice clean little cottage close to oldtown. Walking distance to shopping, brewery and eats.

Still enjoy view, location, and ease of use.

Our party of three “older” ladies loved the location and watching all the bay/river traffic!! Chamber of Commerce weather was a bonus!! Kitchen was well stocked!! Great, small space overlooking the bay. Watch the boats and sea lions going on and out. Lit up at night is really beautiful. Close to bay front, restaurants and beach access. Home is older and in great shape but probably not a place for young children?

Winter getaway in a cozy cottage. We were warm and dry in the storm. Amazing views of weather, birds, and boats. Cottage has been lovingly updated as if the owner would live there.

We loved the view, I by far was the best part. We would Gove this a 5 star except that when we entered there was a musty smell that a 20 minute air out took care of. Frm the photos and descriptionI we thought this was house with a bedroom . Although it did have a bedroom it had a single bed with the king bed as a fold up into the wall style part of the kitchen and main setting room. All of this was OK for us but not what we thought we was getting. Also was some papers/notes asking you to clean up a d start a load of towels. I could not find a washer dryer any place. So we did the dishes in the dishwasher. But I didn't know what to do with towels. Other then that it had everything you will need or want except food. And washer dryer? And in the end we loved it. And would stay again if we choose to stay in Newport. We like to try new places and areas so it will be some time before we do.

Our experience was not too good. This cottage is deceiving by looking at the ad and google earthing. This is a shared connection to the owners house, it’s old, smells moldy and floors feel mushing like it has no cement foundation, the furniture was dirty and big spot on couch smelt like pee, the throw rugs were full of soiled spots of dirt which you can tell have not been cleaned in awhile including the Murphy bed comforter, the couch bed, Murphy bed, and twin bed in little bedroom were cheap and very uncomfortable. The floors were not cleaned or forgotten to wash, the dishes/silverware were cheap, the 20 foot yard in back is embarrassingly share by owner and invasive We heard footstep noise in the crawl attic space above us at night, that’s attached to the owners house and felt like we were getting creeped upon that he was videoing us. We felt very uncomfortable and we were going to call the police to see what’s going on in the attic. You know when something isn’t right. 💥 Do not recommend whatsoever.

What we loved about Arden Cottage: The views! It was so interesting to watch all the comings and goings on the waterfront from the cozy cottage windows. A whole wall and a half of windows made for peaceful views morning, noon, and night. The location is also super convenient as we were able to walk down to the pier many times. Plenty of places to eat and shop on the bay front. The Clearwater Restaurant was our favorite. Many places in Newport deliver as well. We recommend Tenggu Sushi. It is QUIET. We loved how quiet the cottage was inside and if you need some rest, this is the place. We also loved the bathroom. It is huge and has everything we needed, even a hair dryer. The heated floor was wonderful and the old fashioned tub was a real treat. The shower stall is large and comfortable. In the living room the two rocker-swivel chairs are great for looking out the window or watching tv. The upholstery seemed fairly dingy to us and needed a good clean, but there are plenty of blankets to throw over the chairs. The gas fireplace was divine, as the nights and mornings were still cold during our stay (May15-20). Murphy bed was very comfortable and the spare room was perfect for naps (quiet, cool, and dark). What could be better: The living room did feel overstuffed with too much furniture for the space. The kitchen has a new oven/range/microwave and newer toaster/coffee maker/ electric kettle; however, the dishes and bowls/bakeware are all pretty old. We didn’t find the blender until the morning of checkout, so if you need it (and it is tiny) you can find it up on the top shelf of the highest cupboard. Overall some deep cleaning/updates to the furnishings, decor, and bedding would make this a five star cottage. We will stay here again for sure!

It was very clean and very well equipped. We did not lack anything. The drapes were the only issue. We could not pull them like shown in the picture. We would stay there again.

If you are a fan of kitchen nostalgia, Arden Cottage will let you enjoy kitchen ware from from the forties and fifties. The cottage is fully equipped with updated plumbing and everything you will need for a comfortable stay. There is a beautiful view of the bay and marinas.

Small, old but very clean home with a wonderful view of the harbor. Up in the early morning with the fireplace on and watch the sun come up each morning. So relaxing! Small place but has everything you need and is just a short walk or drive to the waterfront, the jetty and other trails. Cant wait for another trip!

We spent 4 nights at the Arden Cottage. This is a duplex, but no one was in the unit next door. The cottage is older, but the bathroom has been beautifully updated with a great clawfoot tub and a really nice shower. The Jotul Gas Stove made this place so very special. It was rainy for most of our stay and we ran that stove continuously. It gave a warm glow which we enjoyed. You sit right over the bay and in the morning we watched the fishing boats leave for the day. The cottage is very close to the historic Bayfront. The kitchen has all you need with regard to pots and pans, but do bring your own condiments and spices. We will most definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.

We loved the location, which is so close to the bay front. It is also such a cute place and the ambiance was just right for our anniversary.

This place is in a great location and has everything one needs for a small family stay. It's the best vacation rental we have had at the coast! The updates to the house offers a great bathroom and the gas fireplace makes it hard to leave the house. It's an open concept house so if that is an issue, this is not the place for you. Our kid took the twin bed in the small bedroom, for our family of 3 it was the perfect size. We will be back, it was home away from home!
