A friendly welcome. Room & bathroom were very clean.

We thought we had booked bed AND breakfast, but it appears guests need to specifically request & arrange breakfast and pay extra. Even the info in a photo frame in the room did not state this; it just said breakfast served between 8 am & 9 am OR by prior arrangement (we took that to mean an earlier or later time). We had a room on the front, so was a lot of traffic noise (Fri & Sat nights. We prefer to sleep with window open for fresh air, so probably not such an issue for others who would close it. Room lacked some TLC - the sealant applied on walls in shower / toilet room had not been smoothed & cleaned off, after it had dried. This applied inside the shower as well. Wood trim at skirting level was broken in one place and not finished off adequately. Untidy hole in wall where we imagine a previous toilet holder had been placed. A real shame as this detail would make such a difference to the overall feel. Room a bit cramped with 2 sets of room dividers and clothes hanging stand. A heads up to other guests: we were required to remove footwear upon arrival & leave on a shoe stand in entrance hall. Whilst we can appreciate the need to protect carpets, our room had hard flooring and also, not so sure about the hygiene of walking barefoot where others have walked also in bare feet. Take slippers! Overall, we feel we overpaid for getting no breakfast and a room that felt like it was still not finished properly. Sadly, we would not rate this a 4 star, although clearly we cannot comment on other rooms or food.

Cute home stay that made you feel like home. Very quiet and the room was really comfortable with everything you needed. Lovely breakfast served at chosen time, good coffee and nice atmosphere too. Will definitely come back again.

Susan is such a great hostess. Great breakfast - I judge the breakfast by the sausages and hers were the best I've had this year. Bed was very comfy.

Our host was very welcoming and helpful going out to get special milk and tea to suit our dietary requirements. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept on. The breakfast was enjoyable

The room was a little over furnished for the size and could have been laid out. The shower was small There was a fridge in the room but this was quite loud when it was on

This place is a homely, little gem. Susan, one of the owners, works very hard to keep the place clean, and always has a friendly word for guests. I was made to feel very welcome here, and would definitely stay again.

The inside of the kettle was unclean, so I had to sort that.

Breakfast very good. Bed very comfortable. Would have preferred a room at the back overlooking the garden. Pleasant twenty minute walk to city centre

Susan was a very pleasant host and the room was quite spacious.Although it is a little bit of a distance from the main attractions, the Park and Ride buses go from round the corner and run frequently.

I asked for breakfast which Sue willingly obliged. However it was a bit spartan for £10, I thought. Also the bedroom tended to be rather cold first thing.

Lovely hostess, room was great, easy walk to attractions. Bed great, en suite shower great... there was a kettle with plenty tea, coffee milk and biscuits. Shops nearby, but it wasn't noisy. The landlady was very kind and really made me feel at home. For my weekend in Canterbury, I was made to feel it was my home from home. I had a lovely weekend break on Carena House and I will definitely come again

I'd prefer to have a radio on at breakfast, news or music, something classical would suit Canterbury

Cafe Solo around the Corner for Breakfast, with the taxi you are in 5minutes in the town center. Susan were very helpful and welcoming.

Uhm it's called B&B but beside on Booking were no information about Breakfast and on Booking were only listed that the Breakfast would be 10Pounds. But that were no big issue.

The host was so nice and welcoming. She asked me what I wanted for breakfast so I had a tailored breakfast 😊 15 mins walk from centre and quiet. Clean and tidy room. Really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back.

Comfortable room, warm and welcoming hosts.Stayed here during my 2 day cycling expedition in and around Canterbury - it is perfectly located as a launch pad for explorations around the countryside. Highly recommend, would visit again.
