Old fashioned, just a very average place

The location was perfect! So close to the water and the little area with great restaurants. The terrasse upstairs is really beautiful with incredible views for sunset The space was well equipped with a little kitchen and Expresso machine The team communicated great

I didn't realize the apartment was on the ground floor, so not much light, making it quite fresh at this season. But I'm sure it is nice in hot summer days !

The „Deluxe Studio“ was a terrible experience. There is no light, no window you can open and no outdoor space when staying in this place. It is right in the straight opposite a bubble tea café frequented by many teenagers. The noise level is insane, even after that place closes there is a noisy pipe running through the apartment and the sofa bed is squeaking. I’m sure the balcony access apartments are nice, but this studio is a way too expensive for what it is and I would never stay again.

Not fit for families, all in one big space. Curtains too thin so light in as of sunset (6:30!)

The apartment has great potential. The beautiful architecture of the historic building. The Terrace's availability and its view are top to enjoy the sunset, breakfast and the sun anytime during the day.

It needs much more care from housekeeping as it doesn't feel too fresh and clean. This lowers the overall experience which is expected to be better in such a location and for the price.

quite dark, the stone roof caused a great deal of dust, we were there for 12 days and you need to pay extra for clean sheets and cleaning, this I think should be included.

Host was amazing and met me at property even though I had no battery in my phone she was there waiting

This is a wonderful appartement in an exceptional location . First of all Cristina welcomed us warmly and was always available for any request we may had, it was a chance to meet her. The accommodation is located in a beautiful Palazzo right by the sea and a short walk to the Duomo. Lavishly and tastefully decorated it is the arched structure of the flat and its warm stones that make this place unique and enchanting. A highly recommended accommodation in Ortigia !

Nothing all was perfect

Literally Nothing.

Travelled for work/Leisure and internet was an important search for me - the apartment had no modem - no connections for wifi and no wifi could penetrate the 3 foot rock walls - having read the reviews there was never any wifi and the apartment has been falsely advertising on bookings site for years. This caused significant issues with my work and when priced as a top/premium accommodation this was totally unacceptable when advertised as having wifi throughout. (You can get much better apartments for half the price with fully functioning internet as we discovered from our friends who stay in Ortigia). Furthermore the apartment wanted us to cancel on booking.com and pay only in cash (they offered cash for discount which sounded fine but not when we realized this meant cancelling on Booking) - when we refused they were confrontational with my wife (I wasn’t there) and when I returned took pictures of my banking card (front and back) as they claimed to have no method of receiving payment I am concerned that they have my card details as obviously they like to “bend the rules” and feel that combined with the myriad of other issues with the place - dust everywhere - rusty showers - roof crumbling - dirty coffee maker - paper thin windows (zero sleep possible) - porta potty style bathroom - parking on site only for the staff (who aren’t there but use it as a car park) leaving the guests having to park 1.2km away (on the nearest paid for parking) there is also the rock hard “bed” for children which was basically a sheet over the hard seat cover which kids can’t sleep in due to the falling debris/dust from the roof which covers absolutely everything - for example leave a cup of water over night and the layer of dust inside it the next morning is frightening. Furniture is also dated and visibly is poor condition. Essentially we feel completely “ripped off” and someone should take some responsibility for who advertises as a premium accommodation.

The design and decor were exceptional and fun. The location on the water was great. The people at Wonderful Italy couldn't have been nicer.
