This little cabin was wonderful. Our dad is about to have surgery to remove cancer and this was the perfect way for him to be in nature without over-exerting himself. His spirits are much higher now. Thank you so much Paula.

We came down for the weekend for the riverbend music festival. The house was absolutely the best. Peaceful and very beautiful and quiet. We saw our favorite band cage the elephant. We got engaged at the show. We will definitely be back soon

This property was so nice for a weekend away without kids. Didn't get to enjoy the hot tub the first night due to not up to temperature but after leaving the lid on all night and setting the temp high we got to enjoy the next day. The view is awesome and to be so close to stores in town it's country quiet. Just a few boats going up and down the river. We got to fish multiple times during our stay but only got nibbles. Our kids want to go back with us one day.

From the view of the river, to the wildlife, to the amazing people, this was a perfect getaway for our family! Close enough to Chattanooga, yet still in nature.

My family and I have been traveling every winter to the mountains and have high expectations from the places we chose to stay at as we have two small children and spending time together relaxing is our main goal. This house has its positives and negatives let’s begin with the positive. The house was clean, comfortable beds, kitchen was equipped with just enough things, but the highlight of the trip was the beautiful view you have from your porch of the river and the mountains behind it. We enjoyed drinking coffee every morning as we watched the eagle fly by and the foggy morning sky. On the other hand, my family and I like to be able to walk our dog around and feel the serenity and peaceful sound of the openness found in the mountains unfortunately this cottage had no privacy at all. Driving to the cabin you will notice many other homes in not the best shape, garbage everywhere, trailer homes not a good welcoming to your vacation getaway. The property land is shared by two other properties, the owners house, and another larger rental property. We felt no privacy as we walked out of the cabin, the other rentals were close by and our dog couldn’t enjoy running freely as he usually does in other properties we have rented in the past. The next door neighbor (in the property the the right) has a larger dog that felt like was going to attack us with his barking as we walked outside. The inside of the house was nice however we didn’t get the privacy we were looking for while on vacation.

Our favorite stay in the mountains so far! Quite and peaceful is an understatement. The hosts were great. Watching the eagles was the highlight of our trip until I caught my largest catfish ever! We will be back!!!!!

Enjoyed our getaway in the mountains. It is peaceful and quite away from all the hustle bustle. If you want to re-connect and unplug, this is the place to go.

We stayed here for 5 nights and would definitely recommend this place to others. We enjoyed the hot tub, the view from the covered back porch, and the location is close enough to downtown that we didn't have to drive more than 15 minutes to get anywhere.

We enjoyed our stay at this cute little house on the river. It was clean and bed comfortable. It was peaceful sitting on the deck or in the chairs by the river taking in all the wildlife and nature. We were able to see the Eagle which lives in a tree right across the river from the house. Luckily I had binoculars and could watch him in his nest. You will pass some old run down places on the way there but the house is completely safe and comfortable. Location is close enough to downtown, North Shore, Ruby Falls etc..easy drive but parking is a struggle in downtown. There are paid parking spots though.. Hot tub was nice. The only thing I recommend is the owners putting a Tea or Juice pitcher in the kitchen for renters to use. Other than that everything you need is there. Nice place!

My husband and I stayed for a few days as part of a 2 week trip to the TN/NC area. This was our first experience with a vacation rental and it really set the bar high for future trips! The home was clean and comfortable and the location was amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the porch for breakfast or dinner and watching the river flow by. The location is a short drive from Chattanooga and other attractions in the area as well as hiking and other outdoor activities. The owners were friendly and helpful with any questions we had. This was a perfect getaway location for us.

Great setting. Very clean. We had everything we needed. Just be aware, there’s another rental house on the property and the owners live there as well. Between other renters and visitors of the owners, there’s not a ton of secluded privacy. Otherwise, no complaints and we would stay here again.

This is a nice little house on the river to relax at! Beautiful sights of the river and the mountain gorge. Owner was very nice when we checked in and made sure we had everything we needed. Hot tub was nice and relaxing. Very quite area. There is another rental house very close by and the owners place is on the same property but we still had plenty of privacy.

We had a wonderful time, beautiful scenery! Enjoyed watching the Bald Eagles fly over the river. Close to the attractions in Chattanooga!

Cabin was clean and cute! Bed was very comfortable. Views unbelievable. Met owners and they were super nice. Hey Paula I caught 4 perch! You were right. This place is highly recommended! Kitchen well stocked. Only 20 minutes from town and restaurants. Chattanooga is a beautiful town.

Relaxing with quick access to downtown

I have live in Tennessee all of my life and I have never stayed on the Tennessee river until this trip. The views from the back porch are absolutely stunning. Great place to unwind and grill. I will definitely return, and recommend this home to anyone that wants a beautiful relaxing getaway with a view!

We had a lovely time at the Little House. It was just the right size for a couple's getaway. The covered porch was perfect for relaxing. We were a quick ride to downtown Chattanooga and right up the road was a kayak rental company. We will return again.

Paula and Jim were very pleasant hosts. We couldn't have been happier with the property, it was just enough space for the three of us. We very much enjoyed our short visit to Chattanooga.

We enjoyed our time here so much! It was so cool fishing right off the back yard. The house was well kept and we even got a free bottle of wine! We loved the hot tub.

We arrived to be greeted by the property owner. She was very nice and made sure we were all set for our stay. Well equipped nice little home with amazing views of the river. Would definitely book/stay again.

The property was perfect and exactly as described. Sitting on the deck every morning listening to the birds and drinking coffee was just what I needed. The king size bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! I need to know what kind it is please. Kitchen had everything we needed. We would definitely go back again.

My boyfriend and I stayed for the weekend and had an amazing time. Everything was set up for us, and they even gave us a bottle of wine. The fireplace was amazing and the bed was very comfortable. It’s only a short drive to downtown Chattanooga which was also great. The view was beautiful being on the river. We even got some snow while we were there. We can’t wait to go back. I think we are going to try and return this summer. Thanks again for everything.

I came for a short get away with my husband. This little cabin was everything on our list but with the cutest decor! We loved the view and the rustic feel.

Our cabin rental here on the Tennessee River 10 miles from EVERYTHING!! 😁� I rented from HomeAway....ahhhhhhgain 😁�😁� (I love the app). It's so cozy. Perfect for a couple and pet friendly. Free WiFi. Firestick tv's. Fireplace. I bed loft. Service for any requests has been superior. Fishing...superior. Hiking very nearby...amazeballs! All Chattanooga sites and best restaurants are super close. Hot tub is perfect with privacy and a view of the river. Fire pit near shore. Non-smoking (outside ok) Basically, bring your suitcase (maybe favorite pillows, I found theirs too firm) and food and you're good, (except maybe a stronger hair dryer). There is a larger cabin on same property (you still have great privacy...shared fire pit though) if you have a larger group. My biggest suggestion is to add a full length mirror somewhere. Overall 5 stars for this rental!!!

Upon arrival, you pass up SEVERAL and I do mean several houses that look like junk yards. Filled with trash and old cars scattered across the front yards. Not a pretty picture. We finally get to the house and it is a bit confusing if you are arriving sleep deprived at 3am. We drove down the hill and to the garage and there is a door with a code on it. We typed in our given code and walked in and it was some sort of laundromat? Not real sure because again it was 3am and we were confused. There was also a lot of what looked like trash outside and construction materials. We finally realized our “cabin” was at the top of the hill. There are 3 houses within rock throwing distance of one another, so if you are looking for a secluded cabin as we were, this is not the place. The patio is only part way covered so if it is snowing or raining you can’t really go out there. The hot tub itself is enclosed, to get to it is not. So if you are expecting to get romantic in the hot tub, find another place to stay. The hot tub also had A LOT of dirt in the bottom along with other twigs and leaves floating. And it was extremely chlorinated. The shower has not been truly cleaned in a while. Some sort of mold/scum build up in the back of it. There was hair stuck to some of the utensils in the utensil holder. If there were blankets there we didn’t find them. And if you’re going in winter it gets really cold so make sure you bring a heavy blanket because the bedding is very thin. The mirror in the bathroom is extremely high. I’m 5’6 and I had to sit in the sink to do my hair and makeup. No full length mirror anywhere. The loft doesn’t look like it has had a full cleaning in a while either because there are spiderwebs everywhere. Seasonings and spices in the cabinet had been expired for A WHILE, so make sure if you are cooking, you bring your own seasoning. That includes salt and pepper. Hotels have better water pressure. Every time we flushed the toilet, the chain came loose so we had to fix it. I am appalled that they had 7 five star reviews before us because this is truly not a 5 star place. When we first arrived we were sick to our stomachs that we paid good money for this place. We looked into trying to get our money back and go somewhere else but decided to try to make the best of it since this was our first vacation in SEVERAL years. I really hate giving bad reviews and I rarely do it but I felt like we were given false information.
