The property itself was in a great, safe location outside of Cagliari. Very easy to get to! The host, Antonio, was very kind, gracious and helpful. He answered any and all of our questions. The property was beautiful, and the breakfast outside was such a nice touch.

• Since we landed late at night we didn't want to drive long distances but at the same time we don't like cities so Cagliari was not an option. Villa Zola is around 30mins drive from the airport so it was a perfect location to spend our first couple of nights in a beautiful quiet spot away from the busy city and surrounded by nature. • Plenty of hiking options in this area, some easier than others to access as the network of roads is limited. • The proprietor is a lovely person and was very helpful. • Breakfast had a good selection of sweet and savoury options and more importantly good coffee :)

Antonio and Luisa were incredible hosts and their property was fantastic. Everything was great and Antonio went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had all we needed. We couldn't have asked for more, simply outstanding.

It is very spacious, clean, modern but with rustic touches. It is set in a multi-level wooded landscape, with lots of plants and shrubs which provide a serene, quiet and calming ambience. It is a great escape if you are looking for some peace and quiet to rejuvenate, read, meditate or reflect, far away from the madding crowd of city living. The bedroom very comfortable and the bed linens were of very high quality and luxurious (one of the best!). Our host, Antonio, was highly responsive, friendly, attentive, and flexible - allowing us to check out slightly later than the appointed time, which we greatly appreciated and commend him.

It is located a bit too far from the good clear water sandy beaches. You have to drive a little further out to find these, meaning it helps to have a car or get a rental for easy mobility. The main living room is restricted to the live-in host, so you are pretty confined to the bedroom/studio apartment which can be quite confining if you are claustrophobic esp during the hot summers. One or two comfy outdoor sofas placed in the shaded garden at the front could offer guests an alternative space to hang out and enjoy the beautiful scenery in the spring or the summer.
