Staff were all extremely welcoming and friendly. Great ambience, open fires and generous portions of delicious food.

Lovely cosy room, comfy bed, great food and friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again when in the area.

Just closeness to road but because the rooms face the back, we did not hear the traffic at night.

Clean and friendly

Hard bed, minimal facilities….. I had a kettle in place of a bedside lamp, overhead lamp was not bright enough to read by….. neither was the kettle!

Staff is very welcoming and attentive. The food in the restaurant is very good, too.

Lovely place to stay, the food was excellent in the pub especially the pizza’s! The room was cosy and clean and very comfortable.

Only one negative which was the radiator in the bathroom was far too hot! It was incredibly hot to touch with no option to turn it down or off so a slight health and safety risk.

Lovely room in a good accessible location with plenty of car parking. The Wi-Fi was very good. Staff so friendly and helpful. Food and drink in the adjoining pub/restaurant was very good,!

Location was perfect for the wedding we attended at Cripps barn. The staff were very friendly helpful and polite. The breakfast was good, also nice and hot.

The bed was hard and the room very small. Ok for one night but wouldn’t want to stay any longer as no storage space. The bathroom was very small

The property has two styles of rooms. One is considerably smaller than the other and had little hanging space. It was fine for a one night stay but ensure you book the bigger room for longer stays

Bed quite comfy. Tea, coffee and water in room is good. Bathroom products very nice. Evening meal was tasty & we enjoyed it. Cleaning staff very nice and helpful when requested extra items.

Hard to climb in & out of shower over bath as not much room and the screen was very difficult to manoeuvre. One of the bathroom mirror lights didn't work properly. Bathroom door & wardrobe door both catching and bathroom door didn't close. Sour dough bread makes horrible toast which wasn't nice at breakfast. Latte not hot which is very annoying when it is such a nice coffee. Property needs some tlc and a bit of loving care.

Great building,super staff,great food and super room.

We are returning in Oct as my son is getting married at the adjoining Cripps Barn. We are looking forward to staying at the Stump again as we felt so relaxed and in such a beautiful area.

The shower kept sticking and presented a little difficulty for us getting in and out of the bath that held the shower. It was soon attended to when we mentioned it.

Stayed after my sisters wedding at Cripps Barn, room with two double beds and the added travel cot as requested. Amazing breakfast in a lovely bar/restaurant which was included in our room rate.

Could have been a wardrobe in the room to hang clothes away - there is wall hanging space however and I do appreciate a wardrobe would have made the room seem smaller. Very minor when staying somewhere for 1 night.
