What a gem of a place! Clare has a beautiful ground floor apartment, with a classy style of decor. You won’t find a better location and Clare communicated tremendously well both in advance and during our stay.

Fabulous apartment, incredibly spacious, well furnished and great views from the terrace of the Dordogne. Just a few steps away from restaurants, bars right in the centre of Bergerac. Easy parking too which is always a consideration in a town centre. Thanks to Clare for making it such an enjoyable stay!

Claire our host was very welcoming and very generous picking us up from station and providing us with something to eat as we arrived late in the day. The aparment is sublime. Decorated tastefully, spotlessly clean, and the garden and the view is just divine. There are so many lovely touches in the apartment providing a real home away from home feel . Thank yoh Claiire.

The apartment was well located at the foot of Old Town Bergerac. It was spotless, quiet, very well equipped, and its terrace, just across from the river, was a very special place to enjoy wine and or dinner at “home”.

My husband and I have just returned to Oregon after a three-week visit to the Dordogne region. Our travels featured stays in five different VRBO properties. Each stay was a positive, memorable experience, however Clare's riverside apartment in Bergerac topped them all. The property itself is a stunner, with a private garden overlooking the Dordogne. What made our stay so extraordinary though, were the thoughtful, generous touches that Clare imparted to the space. Clare is your perfect host-- an astute (British) businesswoman with the grace and charm of the French.

Quite comfortable place for experiencing Bergerac. Nicely decorated and supplied. Lovely towels and linens. The bathrobe was a super plus if you travel light. Many meals and wine on lovely terrace overlooking the river. Everything was convenient. It is on a major street, so some car noise but we still enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Clean, comfortable, great amenities. Good communication with host. Plenty of tourist information. Close to bars restaurants all within walking distance.

Clare was so nice. It was our 51st anniversary during our 5 night stay. Clare prepared a picnic lunch for us, including a bottle of champagne! The apartment was great, very large, everything one needs to feel at home.Location was great, free parking right down the street. Many great restaurants literally within a 5 minute walk. Outside patio out back overlooked the river. We spent time out there each morning with our coffee, and each early evening before heading out to dinner. Really felt like a local during our stay. Oh, and did I mention there is a full bathroom and also a half bath.Would highly recommend this property for the overall experience!

Stayed for 6 nights in this amazing apartment in the old town. There was everything you needed in the apartment and more plus a private garden overlooking the river Dordogne, ideal for watching the sunset whilst enjoying a glass of the local wine! Superb restaurants nearby but advisable to book as soon as you arrive! Clare is a great host and we really appreciated being met at the airport on arrival and being taken back at the end of our stay. A perfect gem for a stay in the beautiful medieval town of Bergerac. Thank you!!

What a fabulous apartment in the centre of the old town. So convenient for restaurants, shopping and a great market. The property is so well equipped with everything and more you could want. Lovely and bright, shower room is very spacious. The garden is wonderful for both river and people watching. Clare is a very considerate host. Excellent restaurant recommendations, we ate very well. Highly recommended.

We were delighted to arrive to a warm welcome from Clare, complete with wine, cheese, olives, pate and bread! The apartment is spacious and comfortable and a lot of thought has obviously gone into making sure that everything is thought of for the guests. It’s a very short stroll into the old part of town, where there a numerous shops, cafes and restaurants. We booked to eat at all 3 of Clare’s suggested restaurants and had 3 lovely meals - our favourite was at L’imparfait. None of them were more than a short stroll away. There’s a nice little garden overlooking the river, with a shady corner and table and chairs. A nice spot to sit with a glass of wine or a book. Noise from the road can’t be heard indoors but can be a little intrusive at times when outdoors. However this is a minor detail - we’ve had a lovely 6 night stay. Thank you Clare and John.

It is beautifully decorated so inside you feel as though you are in a large country home but just outside your door you have walking access to the restaurants and markets of Bergerac. The front garden and views of the river also make this a very special place to enjoy your stay.

We stayed in this wonderful apartment close to Bergerac with a terrace that overlooks the Dordogne. Clare has furnished this characteristic stone property where we felt we were living a typical french lifestyle. Watching the sunset on a very warm evening with a glass of wine made our 20th year wedding anniversary extra special. Plenty of restaurants nearby which were reasonably priced and wine to match we will definitely be visiting again. Clare the owner was really lovely and we cannot thank her enough for making us feel so welcome

We stayed in Bergerac for the week. Such a beautiful place and the apartment matched this. As well as being ideally situated for getting around Bergerac itself, the apartment was very spacious, tastefully decorated and was very well equipped. We found ourselves just sitting enjoying the lovely view from the garden most evenings! Clare was a very attentive host. We took advantage of her offer of a lift from and to the airport which made things very stress free, and the buffet she’d left out for us on our arrival was very much appreciated! We loved our stay.
