Cute cabin. Felt very secluded but close to town. We had a car. Beautiful property. Small item was the hot plate display doesn’t work well and so had to do a lot of button pushing to figure out how to make it work. We saw two toucans as well! Excellent and would recommend.

Adorable and functional cabin on secluded property. No amenities in the immediate area, but not far to La Fortuna. Most excursions will not do direct pickup here. Property itself was comfortable and complete with everything we needed. We appreciated responsiveness and communication with the property manager.

THE GOOD: The property grounds - simply beautiful! The garden, the creek, the pond - were beautiful! The Cabin is easily accessible with car and is a 12 minute ride to La Fortuna via well paved roads. The cabin is good for 4 - the 15 and 19 yo slept in the loft accessible by a ladder which they enjoyed. There is a cute basket on a pulley to bring clothing and stuff up and down. The bathroom is fine and the kitchen was well equipped. The stove is a bit finicky and takes a long time to heat. WE have an electric stove at home and have used an induction stove in the past and still we struggled. That is the only thing that could be improved. We left our winter jackets and the property manager Alonso was incredibly helpful in sending it to our hotel in San Jose on the day before we flew back home. Overall, I would stay again in this unique cabin on my next visit to La Fortuna.

This is a great property for people that want to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere, but not be too far away from civilization. The cabin is very cozy and the land has lots of beautiful trees and plants and a nice creek.

I wish I could stay here forever.. it was like a small slice of heaven amidst the tropical forest. The cabin is so quaint and romantic. The management is excellent!

We spent 3 nights at Cabana Los Tucanes in August. It is located about 10 minutes from LaFortuna in a rural neighborhood. It is very private and the grounds are just beautiful. The bed is comfy and the screened porch is really a nice place to spend some time. The air conditioning is a necessity and most appreciated! We had a few issues that were unavoidable and the manager was extremely quick to respond and correct them. It was a memorable stay!

I paid for a property with a pool as advertised, NO POOL, the people I walked in with expected a pool, NO POOL, my dad saw several roaches, very little water flow, you can barely shower. . The stove is a joke, seriously save some money and buy a proper stove, that weird thing doesn't work. I was supposed to check in at 3pm. m., I was not given entry until almost five in the afternoon. The gay couple in charge of communication and logistics has very bad customer service. The property is quite beautiful, surrounded by nature, perfect beds and nice decoration. There is a small stream next to the property and a pond where you can see all kinds of frogs. I'm sure I can get a refund for false advertising. I will try to contact the owner directly and tell him what is going on. I and all vacation property owners will be pleased with a feedback like this.

The cabin is tucked away on a serene and beautiful plot of land. After busy days exploring the area it was nice to come back to this quiet retreat. Our daughters loved the loft and we all enjoyed the walking paths around the property. Thanks for the stay!!

The cabin is beautiful and very clean. Check in was easy. The property is beautiful. You feel like your totally alone in the jungle yet you are minutes away from the city. From the stree you have a perfect view of Arenal. This was one of our most favorite places to stay. Directions to the cabin were totally accurate.

It was the most relaxing place I’ve ever been I think. The cabin itself stayed very cool. The views were amazing and there was always something to explore and see on the property. I would stay longer if it wasn’t already booked. If we come back to the area, I would be booking again. Perfect for a couple. We didn’t use the loft upstairs but I can imagine that it would be ideal for kids.

This amazing place located just outside of town was absolutely beautiful, peaceful, very spacious and private! Very clean with excellent housekeeping and maintenance. Our son really enjoyed the loft and we appreciated beautiful land around the property!!

This property is a secluded, jungle garden paradise. We were here with our 2 young girls and had a wonderful time. The induction stove was the only thing wrong with this place and that’s being picky. We would come again any time!

I could not have asked for a better experience with accommodations in La Fortuna. Our stay and time in La Fortuna left life long memories imprinted on our hearts. Thank you so much for sharing such a lovely space with us.

Wonderfull cabin style house in the most beautiful garden and with easy access (by car) to all the main attractions in the area. Host was very communicative and helpful. Highly recommended.

Check in process was simple, property was easy to find. Very private, beautiful grounds. The walking paths are awesome to explore the property. The ‘swimming hole’ listed is surely not swimmable, there is much wildlife in those waters and it appears shallow. This was a fun spot to watch lots of different wildlife, birds, frogs, large coy fish. Pool next door was a bonus, however, being told by the hotel manager we could only swim on the day we arrived was off putting. We reached out to the property manager and this matter was taken care of swiftly and we had access to the pool for our stay. The home has everything you need except washcloths. You also need to reuse your towels again and again or pay for your own laundry service. The basket pulley system was a huge hit with our 7 year old. She loved the loft area as well. King bed was comfortable! The blinds/shades do not open or close well and there are windows galore, however, as stated above it’s very private at this property. We loved sitting in the screened porch enjoying our morning coffee together. Overall this was a wonderful, private, safe lot with tons of wildlife around.

We enjoyed staying here it was nice and cozy and well kept. The location was good as well! It's a bit outside of La fortuna but close enough to be convenient.

This is our second time staying here. It is on a large property with a small river running through it. Birds are plentiful including Toucans. It is far enough out of LaFortuna to get away from the chaos but close enough to go enjoy the chaos. All in all this is a great little property.

Nice. Very comfortable. Kitchen has all the utensils normally needed. Bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed watching many species of birds from the “mostly “ screened porch. Grocery store and fruit/vegetable market very close by and very friendly people. Management were outstanding in their helpfulness and patience. Short distance from Fortuna where there are many options for activities.

Great place for our family to stay for 6 days on our adventures through Costa Rica. Not to far from La Fortuna and it was a very relaxing place with an amazing yard and nd the cabin had everything we needed. We even saw toucans the first day we were walking around the backyard. The only advice i have is to be careful with little kiddos in the upstairs loft when getting up and down the ladder. We did it with or 5 and 11 year old and they were just fine but it can be a chore for the little ones. All in all we really loved this place. Oh and we were able to use the pool next door at the hotel which was really nice.

This spot was magical! We loved the flowers, birds, and lush greenery of this cabana. We appreciated getting away from crowds of tourists to this quiet oasis. Our only regret was not staying longer. The cabin is furnished simply and comfortably. (In fact, a new mattress was delivered after our first night and we slept well.) We were able to make some simple meals with the stovetop and toaster oven, so the kitchen served our needs well. The loft situation worked well for our teen. Communication with Alonso was great - he was helpful and responsive.

This was a good location for us and was fine even though it was small. My only problem was that the bed was not very comfortable at all and the sitting furniture in the covered porch/living room area was hard as well. Not many amenities either but well stocked with clean linens.

Definitely recommend!

It's a lovely cottage with beautiful grounds. The kitchen is well equipped to cook and there is a lovely screaned in lIving area where we spent most of our evenings reading. The bed is not a pillow top, and a little hard but it's a spacious king bed. We would definitely return.

This cabin was a great place for my family of 3 to spend 3 nights during our time exploring the la Fortuna area. Plenty of hot water, a full kitchen that was well equipped and a great loft that was fun for our teenaged daughter. The breakfast at the hotel next door was good and only $4.00! Good communication with host.

We saw toucans, colorful frogs, and many hummingbirds on the property. We couldn’t find the swimming hole that was pictured in the listing though. A car is needed, since it is a 10 minute drive from town.

We arrived in la fortuna and first off had a hard time finding the office. After that the people were nice, but they gave us a map where they just hand drew a line indicating where to continue driving and where the house was. We drove for at least 45 minutes looking for house. Once arrived house did not look clean and beautiful as in pictures. It was very small and in pictures it looked to have 2 bedrooms. Not at all the case it had 1 bad in the kitchen and 2 beds in a loft with a ladder going up to them . The bed in kitchen looked as though someone slept on it as it was wrinkled and dirty. Bathroom was not very clean and the entire place was in desperate need of dusting!! We quickly decided that this was not a place we could sleep and left. We did not stay in the house more than 10 mins and still paid for the 2 days. Very disappointed with the misleading picture on Vrbo!!!
