Comfortable, warm, all facilities really good, good pubs, cafes and walking close by.

Night-time traffic noise a bit disturbing occasionally.

Our hosts met us on the drive and the key was in the lock with the heating on and they offered any assistance we required. All environmentally friendly soaps / shampoo was provided. Very friendly hosts.

Not much, really! The second room is quite small, compared with the (huge) main room, but suitable for kids.

This cosy cottage was in a brilliant location in Chagford with very welcoming hosts. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved the setting, decor, host was fantastic, helpful but not intrusive. We also enjoyed that the cottage had everything we needed- we are used to taking own towels/linens and crockery when we travel so it was lovely to realise we wouldn't need to if we visit again. Also lovely to have a king size bed for us tall folks. Cake on arrival was delicious and a great touch - much needed after a pretty brutal car journey. - big bonus for us was that because of the entrance gate/outside area we knew our 2 year old was safe and couldn't run out onto the main road if he was poddling around outside.

Parking is quite tight when you have a big car but we made it work.

Arch Cottage feels like a home from home. Beautiful quality furniture and lots of books to read! Perfect location in beautiful Chagford. Welcoming hosts who are available but respectful of our privacy.

Beautiful, tasteful and comfortable cottage with a great location

We LOVED EVERYTHING about the Arch Cottage! The location was perfect for our first visit to Dartmoor National Park. The cottage was SO charming and comfortable- filled with great books, artwork and personal touches that made us feel so at home. Awesome bathroom with a huge tub. Super comfy bed. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need. And to top it all off, Frances and Peter are so gracious, fun to chat with, and very helpful with ANY needs you may have. Their animals are also quite charming. We would NOT HESITATE to return (if and when we could manage another trip to the UK).

Great location and easy to find. Hosts were great, very friendly and helpful, with helpful info on local area and places to visit. We felt very welcome and the property was exactly what we expected with plenty of room and some lovely touches.

There wasn't anything in particular we didn't like; our only criticism, and not really the biggest of deals was the WiFi struggled a bit when we wanted to watch a movie on Netflix. That really is the only aspect of our stay which was a bit frustrating, but given we were out exploring the countryside for most of the time this really wasn't the biggest of deals to us at all.

Parking is a little tight, room for 1 car only, but street parking available a short distance away...

It was such a lovely little house with all the facilities that we needed for the family. Great location, especially loved Chagford. Friendly owners who lived opposite and were really helpful. Dog loved it! Would definitely come back!
