Good location, friendly host, spacious

Very cute little apartment, wooden decor fits in with the national park vibe. The room is very cosy, absolutely fine for a night or two, which is probably all you need for the national park; there isn't a lot of space to unpack or leave cases lying around. Very close to the national parks, 7-15 mins drive depending on what car park you are headed for. There are kitchen facilities (hob, kettle and fridge) so we took cereal and milk etc. Free parking right outside.

The description "mountain view room" is misleading, I'll upload images but there is a small window in the bathroom and one from the kitchen area that only slightly open and the view is minimal, the other window looks onto and adjacent building. One of the reasons we booked the property is the beautiful photo with the river out front, we did not know that the river dries up completely, the aesthetic wasn't quite what we hoped upon arriving. I appreciate this isn't the fault of the apartment or owners, but worth mentioning because we probably wouldn't have booked here without loving that photo with the river. The guesthouse is down a steep single track road, I was very greatful we were visiting in October out of season and didn't meet other cars on that road! It does also mean you need a car to get to any shops or restaurants. We read wonderful things about the hosts, unfortunately we didn't seem to experience wonderful hosting, we were showed to our room, asked if we had any questions, and that was the one and only time we saw the host over a 3 night stay. We weren't sure if we could use the outside BBQ area or how to! Couldn't ask for clean towels etc. Coffee was provided but it is ground coffee that needs a cafetiere because it doesn't dissolve in water, but there was no cafetiere, we went to the market to buy some coffee sachets (I read a lovely comment about the hosts finding coffee for another guest, but as mentioned the hosts were not around for the duration of our stay) There seemed to be limited hot water, we had a hot shower one day around 6pm, but morning showers around 9:30am there was no hot water at all. That said, we stayed in Zadar after here and had the same issue! So maybe this is normal.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Just a few minutes drive to the Plitvice Lakes.

Great location near the park and very quiet.

The room I booked was with two large beds but only one bed on arrival so had to share with my daughter. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke immediately outside the door and a faint smell in the room.

Idyllic location right on the Korana River coming out of the national park, with very authentic ambiance. The host, Maria was welcoming and pleasant. The parking was right in front of the beautiful house.

This property doesn't seem to have had sufficient investment in a long time and it shows. One of the beds' slats kept coming out, you can't run the ancient oven with any other electronics, even the stove top, or the wiring shorts out. Knob labels have worn off everything in the kitchen and there is only the bare minimum of kitchen items (e.g. 2 teaspoons). Several light bulbs were missing and it had no heating except the fireplace but we weren't offered any firewood and it drops to 5 degrees outside at night.

Very nice location.

The house dated and needs some updates and maintenance. The beds are uncomfortable,overflowing garbage containers near the house. Korana river near the house, that everyone writes about dried out and did not exist during our visit. This is probably a seasonal occurrence. It's disappointed us because we planned to spend time relaxing on the river.

Great atmosphere, friendly host, clean and beautiful place. Amazing views. Great restaurants in the area and Plitvice National Park was very close.

Great quiet location near the lakes. Stick to the main roads as Google maps may try and send you in some

quite dated, fine for a couple of nights.

The location is amazing. The river, however, was dried out.

The room was great. Very cozy bed, nice spacious bathroom en cute kitchen. There was also a small “french” balcony so you can let fresh air come in through the big glass door. (besides the windows of course) The owners were very friendly and welcoming.

The house is placed on a great location directly at the river where you can swim.

The air and smell was really bad and furniture very old and stuffy. When cooking the fuse tripped several times.

The location of this place is absolutely beautiful, there are lovely swimming pools down the road and an incredible waterfall a short walk away. It is also not too far from Plitvice

There was no air con and no fans provided which led to an uncomfortably hot sleep. Added to that no insect nets on the window. The toilet stunk of sewage and we had no hot water on one of the day, granted it did get fixed when we asked. Kitchen had minimal facilities, we had to cut bread and chop food with a butter knife. Also there is just a weird atmosphere about the place, although the hosts were pleasant enough they all hung round the BBQ with their friends and it just made it feel awkward to sit outside - which was such a shame because it was beautiful outside!

Fantastic location, with a small river right in front of the house, with refreshing clean water, where you can swim, good also for children. Silence and quiet but not completely isolated (there are a few other guesthouses in the neighbourhood). The wooden flat was clean and very fresh inside, with a nice main room and two bedrooms. Staff was super friendly. There is also a table and grill outdoor which we used to have breakfast in front of the river.

For those that plan to do some cooking, some more kitchenware would be helpful: we found only 1 pan and 1 pot (and zero lids). Some more pans and pots (and lids!) would be useful if you want to do some simple cooking. Also, it's a pity there was no deck chair (chaise longue) to lie down out in the garden. Finally, the WiFi connection was not very stable during our stay (but luckily there is a good 4G coverage in the area, by at least one of the local mobile operators).

This place is idyllic! Beautiful waterfalls 100m away, a perfect swimming hole right in front of the house, and a cozy log cabin style room. The kitchen had everything we needed, the heater worked well, and even the wifi worked! The bed was warm and cozy, and the shower was super high tech. It must have been really well constructed, because the family downstairs had a baby and smoked cigarettes, but we couldn't hear or smell anything in our room! The drive to Entrance 1 of the national park was maybe 5 minutes.

The drive down to this house in the valley was on a steep one lane road and crossed a very narrow bridge. If you're not a confident driver, you might not feel comfortable.

the location is beautiful. it’s a delightful spot in a valley by a river. the river is gorgeous, the water is so blue. there are cute little bbq huts to sit outside and eat/drink which is lovely. the house itself is cosy and warm. the log cabin is a lovely cosy vibe and the room has everything you need for two people on holiday.

the bathroom smelt like sewage. it was so so grim. it could be mostly avoided by closing the bathroom door and having the bathroom window open but it was so gross. the smell was overpowering when you went in there. the host gave us an air freshener to help after we messaged them on booking.com. it didn’t help at all. I would not rent this property again unless it is fixed

Really nice location, quite and calm in the nature. It looked like Hobbiton! Clean and comfortable. Main services are away (needed car for dinner or buying groceries). Really close to Plitvice National Park

Amazing, cozy and peaceful spot

Everything was very good.. the staff is very very nice and helpful..the cottage is in the beautiful woods with a wonderful crystal clear big stream flowing just in front of the house.. and there is a excellent secret waterfall 15min hike from this cottage. ONLY the villagers know about it.. so do ask the owner how to reach there..is Beautiful!!! With crystal blue water and where you can swim

Everything was good.

Very romantic and beautiful wooden house in the woods very close to entrance 1 for Plitvice lakes national park. There is facilities for barbecues, great restaurants nearby and a surprisingly cool shower for a wooden house vibe. And if you wanna take a swim, there is a small and beautiful stream just outside the house. The host was very kind and flexible - even when it took us much longer to get there than anticipated. It is very good value for money and we can highly recommend to anyone who plans to visit the most amazing national park in Europe!

Amazing. Just that. Superb, cozy, beautiful and perfect wooden house. It was august and as soon as we get in it reminds us of Christmas.
