We loved our stay in LaFortuna. Apartman was exactly like in the photos - very good size (two rooms, living room and kitchen), excellent wifi and very accommodating and helpful hosts (excellent pre-arrival communication and useful local travel tips). The apartment is in a nice and peaceful residential area just a bit outside the busy centre, a very easy walk to the main area.

Everything was lovely. Andres and Alejandra were welcoming and so helpful in getting checked in and with recommendations for places to eat. They always greeted us and asked if we needed anything. Alejandra showed us around the apartment when we arrived. The beds and couch were comfy and it was nice to have the extra space over a hotel room! The apartment is very clean and the outdoor space is beautiful. It's in a neighborhood an easy 10-15 min walk from the main part of town and only a few blocks from a supermarket.

The property was spotless. Andres and Alejandra are an amazing couple. They made themselves available for any and all of our needs. We felt completely at home.

There were no plugs for the sinks lol.

Apartment had everything you need for cooking, there was a TV in the living room and bathroom was ok. It is on a quiet street and I never felt unsafe. 15 min walking from the center of LA Fortuna, close by a Palm (supermarket). Hosts were kind and friendly, and they gave us nice recommendations.

I would recommend bringing ear plugs if you are sensitive to sounds in general ( you might hear some street noise) and eye mask, just to block a bit more sunlight (tho the room has nice curtains)

very nice owners ! Netflix available great stove, big fridge, place to park on the street 2 gates, very secure grocery store and bakery close by

air conditioning only in bedroom, but we used the fan to push air in the living room. no space to sit out outside but they are working on it now. hot water in the shower kind of difficult to operate but we managed. hot water in shower only so we boiled some water with kettle to wash dishes, it worked fine.

Hosts are very beautiful and helpful couple. Sometimes had answers before we asked them. Great suggestions for everything from hot springs,using local shuttle bus(cheap, clean convenient and reliable, restaurants etc. Very good super manado 2 blocks away.

+ Andres is a wonderful host + Apartment is equipped with everything you need (including Netflix) + Hot water + Supermarket and bakery near by It’s not really close to the centre of La Fortuna, which is not a problem if you have a car, just bear it in mind

- The bedroom is situated on the ground level facing a street, which means that you hear all the passing traffic. It’s not a busy street though

Andres is a great host. He helped us with everything we needed, if it's with booking shuttles or getting us extra blankets and etc. The apartment was very clean, had an equipped kitchen and even some board games :)

Our hosts were superb, so welcoming, sweet, kind, helpful, good to be Available if necessary. Beautiful, special family with beautiful children. The accommodations were so clean, well equipped, above & beyond Prepared to welcome us into an appreciated oasis. We'd stay there again in a minute, we recommend them highly!! Very kind, warm and welcoming hosts who are willing to help in any way. Extremely clean apartment, very comfortable bed and high end furnishings. Whisper soft a/c unit in the bedroom. Walkable to center of town. This is a family run home in a safe neighborhood. Normal, familiar, everyday sounds are to be expected.

everything was fabulous- mainly the hosts!! they live next door and they are unbelievably helpful. truly they made our stay so much better. their recommendations and kindness were fabulous. the kitchen was well equipped and the air conditioning in the bedroom is a godsend. good location around 15/20 minute walk from town!

Andres and his family are going out of the way to make you feel welcome. Everything is exactly as advertised, comfortable, peaceful and close to everywhere you want to walk or drive.

Very comfy apartament with helpful owners. Kitchen had what was needed, coffee included. We would stay here again. Parking on your own yard.

The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. The apartment was clean, comfortable, decently equipped, and close to a grocery store.

There were lots of ants in the kitchen but that's the norm for the climate so it wasn't a big deal. It's a bit of a far walk to the town centre in the heat, but red taxis are cheap.

The most clean house we’ve stayed in and we’ve been travelling for 6 months! House was perfect and family were lovely. Much bigger than expected!

We got a warm welcome from Alejandra with a quick tour of the spacious apartment. Had everything you need to stay for a longer time. We cooked ourselves most of the time, and enjoying watching a movie on the smart tv. We loved the fact it's in a residential area instead of surrounded by resorts.

It's a bit further from the center, and Ubers were not really reliable. Not a problem if you have your own transportation or if you are up for a little walk (15 min to town).

The location is 12 minute walk (5 min in car) from center of town. Quiet and safe local neighborhood. The owners live next door so they are always available and helpful for local ideas. (restaurants, adventure parks, hot springs, etc)

It was prefect for my personal needs. It met my expectations for price, location, safety and convenience. If you want a quiet and local experience with a local Costa Rican family... this is the place you!!

Amazing people, best little accommodation for a couple or small family. So friendly and welcoming, would definitely stay again!

Everything was great! Only thing I could think of is it would be nice to have a little outside seating area down the sidepath to the room, just to relax in the evening

We can't imagine staying with nicer people! The spot is a few minutes drive from everything in and around La Fortuna. It was our only experience outside a traditional hotel in Costa Rica and we did not regret going for an apartment for a few days. Thanks again for having us!

It got dark early so we slept A LOT more than we planned, but that could have happened anywhere. You will not regret staying here if you can get in!
