Property was fine but we came home to find that we’d been charged £100 for parking in the car park. Apparently we should have registered our car reg in the hotel - something that wasn’t mentioned by the staff. I didn’t expect to receive a parking fine for parking in the hotel car park when I’m staying in the hotel! Pretty annoyed to say the least.

The room size was very good, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is modern with a great added bonus of having parking.

I booked this hotel because it was advertised as being just over a mile from Hampton Court, however when asking reception if we could walk to Hampton Court from the hotel we were told it would take a while and gave instructions that weren’t particularly clear. It would have been more helpful if the staff in the hotel could make it a bit clearer as to how you can get to both Kingston upon Thames or Hampton Court considering, I would imagine, that most guests are there because of those 2 locations. Maps or bus timetables for example would have been very useful indeed. When you are only staying for one night you need to know how you can navigate around, you don’t want to waste your own valuable time trying to figure it out. There could be hand soap available in the room and bottled water. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. We didn’t use the lifts as one of them was out of order so we used the stairwell. This area was not very clean and did not smell very good.

Great location, easy to find and very clean.

We had a long wait for the room to be ready ,although it was very busy. We couldn’t have our window open as it was so noisy with people in the garden until after 3am.

Rooms dated and dark, not crown plaza standard, drinks expensive. Booked into our room and then got back to another bloke laid on the bed. Reception apologetic and had made a mistake and we did get a better room.

The hotel was clean, our room was very nice although not the one originally booked and breakfast was good.

Originally we booked a river view room as the hotel information indicated that the hotel was on the river front but actually there is a busy road in between the hotel and the river. As we had booked a river view room we asked to see one rather than just accepting the room given to us. On inspection of the river view room on offer we realised that it actually wasn’t like the room we had booked and decided to accept the first room given to us. Also on arrival our room was not ready so we went for a drink in the bar. My partner went to the bar and ordered two glasses of Prosecco which he paid for and carried to our table and poured it out. On inspection of the receipt we noticed we had been charged service charge! The Prosecco was expensive and the added service charge put the two drinks at £25! Further more we were asked for a credit card for a £50 deposit which we gave using a debit card, as this is usual practice. However on checking out we were told that the £50 would be returned to the card within 7 days “but don’t worry about it you will get the refund”! This is not acceptable the money should not have been taken but just details of the card taken just in case! Overall the hotel is OK but not what we had been looking forward too which obviously was disappointing.

The hotel was very efficient. Service was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. The room was cleaned each day and towels renewed. The bed was comfortable. It was exceptional service in spite of the Covid restrictions.

Property was well located good parking , the hotel is a 20 minute walk from Surbiton railway station which is on the main line to Hampton court or Waterloo , a new build everything in the hotel was of a high standard

No major issues at all with the property

The reception staff were excellent and very helpful. We were only there for one night and found the room adequate. We paid - £123 for the room with breakfast and happy with the price. The room was simple, clean, tidy and comfortable. There wasn't bottled water in the room on arrival but a phone call rectified that. We also requested towel robes that also arrived with the water. Excellent ventilation but only one small window onto a closed area of other room windows. The aircon in the room was easy to operate. The breakfast was very good. Had full english and the coffee was delicious. We would stay again, although it isn't as close to Hampton Court as it appears on the map.

There was nothing to dislike about the hotel. The staff were terrific. The breakfast superb. Location was good too but as we were going to Hampton court we thought we could walk it. On the map it looks quite close but it isn't. Its lots of one way streets and rivers! It wouldn't deter us from going back tho!

The fact that reception insisted on taking an additional (and wholly unnecessary) £50 deposit on my personal credit card at check in. It's insulting and unprofessional. The room was also dark, dated and depressing.

The property is well maintained. Above all the staff in all departments were very helpful and friendly.

Everything was good

Room was lovely and had 2 balconies which gave a lovely view of the river. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good. Bonus of free parking which is always good. Only negative is that the bathroom has a glass door which although frosted is still completely transparent. Not good when the toilet was right by the door. Overall though we enjoyed our stay

Car park a bit of a walk

(1) The Bed (2) Staff- Excellent (3) Room has view of River Thames over a busy main road, but you pay extra for that view in a poor quality room

(1) Lack of Wardrobe and drawer space- 15 ins wide totally inadeguate for more than 1 night, especially attending a function or wedding. (2) Bathroom so small 5ft x 5ft. I could not lie down on the floor even with feet under basin. if you sat on the toilet and someone opened the door slightly it smashed into your legs. (3) Executive twin room - one towelling robe only. (4) Breakfast - 4 star hotel yet metal tea pots and mugs...ugh like a cheap, seaside B & B or transport cafe. Cooked breakfast was brought and placed on table whilst we were both.. still eating our cereal. Cooked breakfast was stone sold the first day.... plate cold and bacon, sausages pre-cooked, congealed and cold. Fried eggs congealed. Clearly no temperature testing of food before being dished out for table service. Frozen Butter!! Why give out frozen butter portions ?? they only have to be placed out before breakfast service in a cold water basin. Butter can be re-frozen if necessary. Cooked Breakfast Improved the second day after we complained but still spoilt by pre-cooked and congealed bacon. (5) My car was blocked in at front of hotel as we were leaving dressed up for a wedding. Staff including Manager unable to identify or locate offender. (6) Rear car park for guests is part of an industrial area. There is no CCTV covering car park at all and we saw two cars with broken windows on service road near car park.

Clean comfortable room. Good situation close to river and marina. Attentive and friendly staff. Plenty of parking spaces.

The frosted bathroom door. I think it would be nicer to have a little more privacy when 2 people are staying in the room.
