The room was very worn, peeling wallpaper and paint, threadbare carpets, very old bathroom suite.

I requested a room in advance, one I have previously stayed in. was pleased to get the room. Not however pleased to return back on the Saturday evening to an event going on directly below. some insight on check in would have been nice.

Staff friendly & helpful breakfast good & plenty of choice.

Stayed in room 38. Window cill was rotten and needed redecorating. Shower was faulty & couldn't regulate between hot & cold. Ended up.burning myself. Whole room very tired and in need of updating My colleague was in room 48 and his window wouldn't close so made it very cold.

Right at centre of Thetford,everything in walking distance,including train station.

Breakfast was okay, had to wait quite a while for it.

The bedrooms need some work in them, bathrooms were very sad.

The room was a good size and equipped well. The food was very good and great value for money. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient.

room was cold on entry, found patio door left open to balcony, shut the door but couldn’t be locked! bathroom shower curtain rail very rusty. shower head was fixed and to wash hair I had to stoop underneath it (I’m 5’6”). moved chair with castors to view tv and when I sat on the chair it fell forward, on review the castor had come off when I moved the chair!

staff were polite, the bed was very comfy, the room was spacious and well equipped with tea, coffee, tv etc

very, very run down and shabby, the decor very run down and could do with a serious revamp. The peephole in the door was literally just a hole which meant we could hear people in the corridor. The bath and bathroom was stained. Very strong smell of hardcore cleaning chemicals like bleach and heavy duty cleaning products, but with a very musty undertone - not sure what brought it on but left with a skin rash. Real shame as bed was comfy and staff were nice, with great central location. With a bit of TLC could be gorgeous but sadly I wouldn't stay again even at cheap price.

We have stayed at The Bell many times and as usual we were greeted at reception as old friends..

The TV in the room did not work (fixed next day) and the telephone did not work to speak to reception. The bathroom floor was covered in water. The breakfast was overcooked and awful. We went out for breakfast the next morning.

Lovely location, friendly staff and a warm greeting

dirty bathroom ( pubic hair on and around the toilet area! no hot water so unable to shower in the evening of my stay. broken shower connection that holds the shower head which was covered in rust. Front Door entrance to hotel was locked when I arrived back from my evening business dinner. which caused me to wait outside in the cold weather for 25 minutes before a member of staff let me into the hotel.

Everything, horrible vibes hated it

The location was central to Thetford

It was very tired and dated. There was a wedding on, which seemed to mean that all other paying guests took second place. No restaurant facilities and waited over an hour for a burger in the bar, for it then to be the wrong order. Didn't seem to be enough staff but those that were there pleasant.

Food was good but service poor. Waited upto an hour for our main and it was not that busy. Then waited 3/4 of an hour for dessert.

The whole hotel needs a revamp, it is tired and dirty. Our room was meant to be a superior but did not live up to its expectations. It also needs a revamp, it certainly did not have the luxury feel that a superior should be. The room is outdated and the fittings disgusting. The bathroom was dirty, crack in the basin, toilet stained, shower head and hose were disgusting.
