Couch's were old n uncomfortable

The pool area was lovely.

This accommodation provider phoned us just before 3pm asking where we were because check in closed at 2pm. I advised that that time is unusual and that booking.com states that check-in is FROM 2pm. The lady calling me said that they like to be able to close the office once the rooms have all been cleaned which is a very tricky timeframe for guests to work with. The woman was abrupt and her tone and communication action style made us feel like an inconvenience. The apartment allocated to us was below the managers residence. They were up and about and very active and noisy between 6am and 8am which was disappointing for our family trying to have down time while on holiday. The cleaning staff we encountered in the carpark as we were leaving didn’t offer a smile / hello / acknowledgement. Airley Beach has so much beautiful accommodation available. This accommodation choice put a significant dampener on our stay in AB. We are travelling the whole east coast of Australia and this stay was our most unpleasant. Would not recommend.

Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Good wifi and walking distance to the village. Great view. Covered parking. Friendly and helpful staff.

Hilly neighborhood made walking a bit harder for this out of shape retiree.

Location

Manager ( Cathy ) was very focused on getting guests to follow their rules, rather than making sure guests having the best service for the money we spent. The whole apartment we stayed in smelled so bad and felt like it had never been opened in a while. There was no exhaust fan for the electric stoves. But there were smoke alarms. There is only 1 car park spot even if you book a 3 bedroom apartment.

On a steep hill…but it was manageable.

The pool was lovely with a beautiful view over the town and harbour. Everything was clean and comfortable. Close to main shopping area

Apartment 6 - Spectacular view with great access to an amazing clean pool. Great air conditioning throughout. The view from the main bedroom when you woke up was incredible.

The main bed mattress feels like the springs have separated in a section of the mattress and bring your own pillow. No wine glasses. Very steep walk home from town.
