Ayelen Andina is abt. 5 driving minutes out of the city of Esquel, on the way to NPA and Trevellin, which is practical as you may save time. The hotel has cabanas of different sizes with a secured parking lot on the property. The cabana was clean and nicely furnished, it felt relatively new with TV, fridge, microwave, toaster and full working stove and oven. Soap, shampoo and towels are provided. The cabana is heated, but also has a fireplace and outside a BBQ grill. Breakfast was included in our room which is served in the large community room in the main reception building. The property has also a swimming pool from noon til 8pm, a small gym and you can also rent bikes. Esquel is a very small town and Ayelen Andina is likely the best accomodation in the area. It is still a simple place, but kept clean and the staff is extremely nice and accomodating, for example if you have to get to a tour early and cannot have breakfast at normal hour.
We forgot to mention to staff, that some lights in the downstairs dining area were not working, f.e. the neon tube over the front door, someone must've run into it with a large item. We recommend that you ask, how the stove works, it has an extra switch for the sparks. Also ask how the heater works, I recommend lowering the termostat. The bedroom has many windows and the curtains in the stairway didn't close well, there is still light shining in at night. The pool building has some weather and water challenges that need to be figured out.

Very nice area. 5 minutes drive to the center of the village.
Nice pool.
Room is upstairs while bathroom is downstairs.
Looks like in the bigger cabins it is not that way.

What not to like about this place... The resort is set a bit out of town in a new leafy chic estate development. It was quite easy to find even without a gps...
There’s a private parking onsite and you will receive a clicker to open the gate which makes the place secure.
We had a lovely on bedroom bungalow with the bedroom on the first floor and a door window opening onto a small balcony. Big comfortable bed. Lots of storage if you stay here more than a day or two.
The all space, even if relatively compact, is very well organised and furnished. There’s two comfy armchairs overlooking the garden and a big open fireplace (we didn’t need it in February but it might be a must in the winter). There’s a normal size worktop in the kitchen (a rarity in most of the self catering place we stayed) and the kitchen itself is well equipped.
Th swimming pool was a blessing with those hot summer temperatures...
The staff is amazingly friendly, helpful and welcoming.
We also had our laundry done at a very reasonable price.
The only downside of Ayelen Andina might be the situation, really out of town, but as we were self catering, it was not a problem for us. And anyway, when driving around the Lake District as we did, the important is the journey, not the destination.
