Die Unterkunft ist ein echt schönes Haus mit einer tollen Atmosphäre, welches an der ruhigen Hanglage bei Clifden nähe des Clifden Castle liegt.
Die Besitzer Ruth & Stuart haben Ihrer Lodge einen sehr schönen Charme der Musikhistorie verschafft. Wer also ein wenig über Musikgeschichte erfahren möchte, dem würden wir unbedingt die Hillside Lodge empfehlen den Stuart kann einem einiges erzählen!
Was das Frühstück angeht ist dieses vorzügliche und mit wirklich sehr viel Liebe und Engagement zubereiten und serviert.
Alles in Allem waren wir wirklich sehr zufrieden und hoffen diese Bewertung hilft dem Leser und natürlich Ruth & Stuart weiter ^^

The water is a slightly yellow colour due to the peat. Perfectly safe but took a bit of getting used to. Some people would be put off by that so maybe bring bottled water if you want to make a cup of tea in your room. I used the water on tap.

Ruth and Stewart were wonderful hosts; great location five minutes from Clifden and 25 minutes from Connemara National Park. Our room (we stayed in the corner room #5; we were pleased to find out it was the U2 room) was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was great. Highly recommend.
Everything was great- our room had a slanted ceiling, so I just needed to be careful (as I'm 6'2").

Ruth and her staff were most welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and Julia and Kara are wonderful servers. We appreciated the two options of sitting times. Our room was very spacious and very clean. We loved seeing all the memorabilia in the hallway! The castle across the road was a wonderful adventure to walk to. The list of restaurants were helpful when selecting a spot for supper. USB ports in our room made charging devices very easy. There was plenty of parking available.

Hillside Lodge was the perfect place to stay while we were visiting splendid Clifden and the surrounding magical area. Ruth was a fantastic host, kind and helpful. Our room #6 was cozy and large, twice the size of a standard hotel room with a full living room area and sectional sofa. The breakfast was delicious, healthy and made to order. We have nothing but positive things to say about this wonderful experience. Book now!

Stuart and Ruth were gracious and attentive hosts. The daily breakfasts were delicious, carefully prepared with several options. The location was ideal; only a few minutes drive to town, yet set in the beautiful countryside.

Perfect place to stay. Attention to detail was exceptional. We stayed at small room because that was the only room available, but it was wonderfully appointed. Reading lights above beds were perfect.

The Hillside Lodge was in a great location, so close to Clifden town centre and with gorgeous views. We were accommodated last minute with no problem and were happy to be able to have a free parking space. We had a lovely welcome and were given a great menu for breakfast which we chose from the evening before so that it was prepared for us the next morning. Every last detail was paid attention to, from the breakfast to the room, bathroom, sitting room, and even the decoration was really interesting to see as it told us a lot about the lovely owners :) thanks a mil!

The portfolio provided with the roof provided extensive coverage of the location for medical facilities and the laundromat frequently overlooked for travellers.An email before arrival listed restaurants and hotels. The twenty-five minute walk into town was accurate although the more scenic route by the beach required another five minutes. The reading lights on the bed were well located and powerful. Sovernirs of the owner's career as a guitar tech with U2 dot the house. Breakfast was varied and interesting.
Unfortunately an old house cannot be adequately sound proofed although efforts have been made to rectify this. The provision of television would not be practical. Guests need to be mindful of sleepers when departing early inn the morning.

We got a lovely welcome from Ruth, the room was beautiful, spotless, had an excellent shower, and the breakfast was amazing, we will definitely stay again.
