I would not recommend staying at Suite room as there is almost no natural light. Otherwise the property is wonderful

Went there with my friend for a short trip. The staff were amazing. They remembered our names and would accommodate our requests like keeping our room service food warm as we were returning back to the hotel late at night. The suite with garden view was nice but gotta take note that the toilet is not air-conditioned.

I didnt like the toilet as there was a very strong smell from the toilet bowl. We had to buy our own air freshener to reduce the smell of the toilet. The outdoor shower is perfect for pictures but you'll be a feast for mosquitoes and the tiles were full of algae. Guess it adds to the picturesque vibe but i didn't quite like it.

The staff was so kind, gentle, happy to help and welcoming. The staff was just excellent. Relaxation atmosphere in the hotel. The area is quiet and peaceful. Very comfortable and beautiful pool. The garden is lovely. The room was cleaned daily. Wi-Fi is very good. The breakfast is good. The location is excellent. There are many cafes nearby. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the main street with shops through the monkey forest. Highly recommend staying here.

this was the third time we visited villa sonia in 7 years and we were so happy to see that they managed to keep the laid back vibe alive and the quality high. the staff members are so kind, gentle, happy to help amd welcoming. the garden is lovely, breakfast good, and the location on nyun kuning the best.

We stayed a week in Villa Sonia and had a lovely time. The second swimming pool of the hotel was very quite and chill. The room was quite spacious, with both shower and bathtub. The room was cleaned daily. Hotel has room service from the restaurant at the premises. The personnel was very cute and friendly all the time. Good value for money and great location.

Wifi was practically absent and we almost didn’t have mobile line in our room. The breakfast buffet was very poor- it had more asian options rather than western, we could eat only eggs and some fruits (papaya and watermelon). The water was not going out well from the shower. The dull smell of humidity when entering the room.

This villa is located in Nyuh Kuning which is a quiet township which was perfect to us! a short 5 minute scooter ride into the heart of Ubud. There are an array of local restaurants in this area which was really handy. The staff are the friendliest people you will ever meet!

We loved the location in Nyuh Kuning. Lots of nice restaurants close by, and an easy walk into Ubud via Monkey Forest. The Villa had lovely grounds, very peaceful, and the staff were wonderful. we loved the restaurant above the pool, and the 2 pools were great! We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms was beautiful and spacious, the outdoor (covered) shower was very refreshing and great water pressure. The pool was very clean and never busy. The food was really tasty, especially the breakfast. Staff were always friendly. The location was perfect if you want lots of places to eat or drink nearby, especially cheap places! Also so close to the monkey forest that at the end of the road you see monkeys but at the resort you will be away from them.

Strangely the staff would call at odd hours asking when we would go to breakfast, we were informed when breakfast ended as we booked in, so I wish they had left it at that and if we missed it, we missed it. It's also worth noting that we did see some bugs, this is just part of having so many outdoor areas available and was totally fine, but if you have a fear of bugs, maybe not the place for you.

This is our second time in Ubud and Villa Sonia, is like our home in this area. The staff is great, always smiling and welcoming.

A little bit of improvement in the bathroom area of the room.

The villa was very spacious with an amazing bathroom and outdoor shower. Very well situated a short distance from the monkey forest and restaurants. About 15 skooter ride to city centre. The breakfast was OK, staff were very accommodating when requesting specific alterations to my omelette style, staff extremely helpful and hard working. Rooms very clean and comfortable. We loved all of the activities available in Ubud. Water rafting down the river, hiking up Mount Batur volcano to watch sunrise over the ocean, taking an adventure ride by skooter up to munduk to go waterfall hunting. Villa Sonia was amazing value for money, fantastic staff that went beyond to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of throughout our stay. We would definately stay here again if ever in ubud. The infinity pool had an amazing temperature. The crispy duck at the restaurant is a must try and our favourite throughout our time in Indonesia.
