Well equipped kitchen and spacious dining room. Nice and clean new common bathrooms and still sink in the room. Quiet.

Kitchen facility.

Bathroom floor is slippery, it caused one of our friends fell into black and blue.

Our room was clean and comfortable, even if a little old-fashioned. The kitchen was well organized and quite clean. Bathrooms also were clean.

Fantastic location especially for Asbyrgi and Dettifoss. The facilities are brilliant and really nice having a communal area to chat with other travellers!

I had a single room which was plain but comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the Guesthouse was very close to Ásbyrgi and it’s excellent Visitor Centre.

The rooms had self-closing doors which meant you had to be careful not to lock yourself out !

The room and the shared showers were very clean 4 bathrooms for 12 rooms witch is enough Kitchen very well equiped A big dining area but a little kitchen for twelve people

The kitchen is a little small for twelve rooms ( 4 cooking plates for 12 people and only one sink) No soundproof, very noisy when the other guests have dinner late in the evening

Dettifoss Guesthouse is a very nice place, we have enjoyed our stay. Cozy room, four shared bathrooms in top condition (new and super clean), fully equiped kitchen and shared dinning room. The location is also very convenient. :) Perfect stay, highly recommended.

Cheap option Very nice showers

When we arrived, we saw that we did not have a double bed, as we had asked (maybe it is the fault of booking for stating this was possible). However, they just simply said: "place the beds together " (which was not possible without blocking the door). Not very welcomming.. It did not feel like a guesthouse, but more like a hostel.

The dining room was very big as well as the bedroom. 4 bathroms, 3 of which just renovated.

Kitchen was a bit small. One sink is not enough for that many people.

The facility is lovely, with ultra-modern bathrooms, good WiFi, a huge dining area and a large, shared kitchen with every gadget imaginable. The triple (3 single bed) room had plenty of space, though the wardrobe featured in other rooms had been eliminated to create that space. No issue here with that for a one-night stopover. This was the best value of our trip!

It was further away from the Dettifoss Falls than the name would suggest but I could have done more complete research. No freezer available to refreeze my ice packs.

super nice host, house ist equipped with everything you need, super clean, parking was possible directly in front of the house, had a really nice stay!

The guesthouse has an area with renovated rooms and bathrooms and an old area. We made the reservation 8 months in advance, and we stayed in the old area. One of the rooms was very small, without any comfort or decoration.
