We were a group of 7 and we had a glorious time at Casa Lorenzo. It has plenty of space if you need a little privacy with a large group. The surrounding property is quite large. Esperanza is a magnificent cook and Fidel goes out of his way to make everything just right. He’s extremely knowledgeable about the area and has many connections. His English is very good as well. The only thing I would let people know is that if you have knee or a foot issue this isn’t the place for you. There are MANY stairs. We all didn’t have an issue with them at all. Good way to burn calories. 🤣

We stayed during the rainy season, which turns out was one of the most intense rainy seasons in over 30 years. The storms were absolutely stunning to experience from the patio overlooking Banderas Bay. Oh yeah, about the house… the staff was so warm and welcoming; the house was just magical; and the neighborhood is my favorite in Puerto Vallarta. I’ve stayed at hotels in PV before, and this made me appreciate having a house to yourself in such a beautiful location. During the morning hours, the butterflies surround you while you are having breakfast on the patio. During the afternoon, you have the pool to take a dip in and enjoy the views. During the evening, there were some nights we sat on the patio to enjoy the thunderstorms. The staff treated us like family! Many thanks to Esperanza, Fidel and everyone else that contributed to our amazing vacation!

We stayed with our family of five and friends who had a family of four. Everything was even better than we had hoped for and we enjoyed countless hours in the pool and looking out over the bay. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and the food was outstanding!!! One thing to note for families is that there are three separate living areas. The lower level doesn’t have inside access to the main house, which can be difficult. This took some rearranging of kids the first night, but was not a deal breaker at all. I would highly recommend Casa Lorenzo to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

This is by far the most beautiful home we have stayed in, in part because of the kindness and competence of the Esparanza, Fidel and the house staff. Esparanza and Yareli's cooking was outstanding; just an incredible treat and so fabulous not to have to cook. From relaxing in the pool after a walk down to the Malecon to the beautifully decorated rooms to the many special spaces to reflect or enjoy the stunning view and sunsets or the many birds and dragon flies enjoying the flowering trees, we could not have been happier. Our kids are 16, 20 and 24 and each could have their own space, which was a huge positive. The walk into town is a very steep descent and there are also many steps to get up to the house if you don't have your own car (to drive up the steep driveway to the house) so the more fit you are, the better. We loved walking into town and feeling immersed in the teeming diversity of the city; among the home's assets is it is not in a resort-style, manicured environment. The cacophony of birds, insects, dogs, salsa music and more is part of what we love. Yet with air conditioning in the bedrooms, it was quiet and we slept comfortably. The beautiful marble floors and stone staircase in the home are lovely and ideal for maybe ages 5 or 6 and up but would feel treacherous with toddlers. We are grateful for the opportunity to stay at Casa Lorenzo and hope to come again some time.

We loved it! Esperanza was great and Fidel was great as well. Amazing view, beautiful sunset. Huge rooms and very clean. Everything was great! My aunt lives next door and that’s th reason I wanted this place. The only thing was that the side gate was locked so I had to go up those stairs and that is a serious workout 4 times a day. We had a group of 8 individuals come to Puerto Vallarta to celebrate several birthdays. Casa Lorenzo was perfect! While the house is within walking distance of all the action and the beach it is just far enough away to have peaceful relaxing moments. Fidel took care of the house every day and answered any questions we had and Esperanza was absolutely amazing in the kitchen! 10/10 and would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Casa Lorenzo was the best vacation our family of seven has ever had. The property is beautiful and pictures cannot even do it justice. Esperenza is amazing!!! Her cooking is better than going to a restaurant by far. She treated us great everyday! I recommend this property highly. Our family thanks everyone involved in providing such a great experience.

This place was perfect for our after Christmas vacation. There were eight of us in total and there was lots of room in the house for us to spread out in and also lots of room for playing games and watching movies together too. The house is just as beautiful as it looks in pictures and the view from the deck is amazing. There is lots of deck space and the pool is perfect for cooling off in. Short walk downhill into the zona romantica with all the shops, restaurants and the beach. The best part of renting this house is the ability to have the fabulous Esperanza whip up some wonderful meals. We ate breakfast and supper at the house everyday and the food was stellar. My adult kids are still talking about the shrimp burritos, the fajitas and the bacon omelettes. Fidel is a super guy. His English is extensive and we really enjoyed our chats with him. He arranged for a table with nice view at the brunch at Canopy River. He also booked a private boat for us for the day, which was fabulous. We snorkeled at Mahajuitas, cruised around Los Arcos, hiked to a small waterfall in Yelapas and had lunch at Las Animas. It was a great day and it cost less than booking our family onto a crowded group tour. Fidel is very helpful and he has lots of connections in PV. I highly recommend renting this property and I would love to stay there again

Our group of friends stayed for 10 days and loved every minute! Esperanza and her delicious meals wowed us and the friendliness of ALL the staff was so endearing. Fidel helped us with any questions or planning of outings. The eagerness to make each guest's stay enjoyable was so appreciated. And the house itself is a gorgeous wonder, with every comfort imaginable in a very convenient location. Popping into the pool after climbing the hill quickly became a refreshing habit we all adopted. None of us wanted to leave our "home" at the end of the vacation! Highly recommend staying here, especially if traveling as a group of adults that love fabulous views, warm smiles, peaceful nights, and beautiful surroundings. Loved by all of us, can't think of anywhere I've enjoyed staying more.

This property is absolutely beautiful and the photos provided are accurate however the home is much more than what the photos show. Amazing views from the home, saw fireworks every night from the property. The House Manager, Fidel and Cook, Esperanza were amazing and very friendly. The food Esperanza prepared was always good and it was very inexpensive to eat in. Fidel could help you with any tours or any questions you have about things to do while in PV. He is very friendly and easy to understand. We stayed here for 9 days and there was 7 of us and there was plenty of room. The property is high up on a hill and it is walkable to Old Town PV, however Uber is very inexpensive and the way to go. I would highly recommend this property. We wish we could have stayed longer. We can't wait to return!

We love Casa Lorenzo so much that we returned for a second time this year! Esperanza has become like family to us. And what a treat it was to see Fidel greet us at the gate. It felt just like home! Can’t wait to stay there again.

We traveled with 3 couples and were fortunate enough to stay at Casa Lorenzo for 2 weeks! Each couple had their own unique sleeping quarters and the shared areas were more than accommodating for all of us. The house was absolutely immaculate and organized. Very secure and safe. It is situated on top of a very steep hill (Rodolfo Gomez) not too bad going down but a bit of a challenge going up but taxis are only 50 pesos to get home. I walked it quite a few times up and down so it is not that bad!! The steep hill, however, affords you the most beautiful views of the ocean and downtown PV and also a gorgeous view of the mountains and neighbourhoods. There is a bit of noise going on as you are among some of the local families and environment but never seemed to present a problem! I can't say enough about the staff at Casa Lorenzo (Esperanza, Yarily and Fidel) they made the trip!! Fidel was there daily to ensure all was running ok and if he could offer assistance in any way. Yarily was diligent in her duties in the maintenance of the facility and Esperanza was just incredible!! The meals she made for us rivaled any of the restaurants we ate in!! I would highly recommend Casa Lorenzo and would definitely return!!

We were very delighted with everything associated with this property! The owners of this property were super helpful and quickly answered any questions that we had. The staff was spot on! We could walk to downtown in about 10 minutes, the views from bedrooms and the pool and deck were beautiful!! The house was beautifully decorated with all the inspirations of Puerto Vallarta. We will definitely go back again . We would highly recommend this property!!!!

Had a great experience at Casa Lorenzo! The property is gorgeous, the views are spectacular and you find total privacy nestled at that the top of the hill overlooking Puerto Vallarta. You also find yourself surrounded by the lush landscape of well attended grounds. The staff was exceptional and attended to the smallest details. The on site meals were exceptional and I questioned my fellow traveling companions as to why we would venture out! When we did, we were directed to exceptional restaurants and great service. Casa Lorenzo is a must and is very high on my list of places that I will be going back to!

My husband and I came to stay at Casa Lorenzo for a full week to celebrate our honeymoon. It was a great decision! We arrived at the airport and took a 20 min taxi to the house. We were greeted with fresh guacamole, pico de Gallo and margaritas by the fabulous cook/house keeper Esperanza. We were able to select breakfast, lunch or dinner for Esperanza to prepare for us each day, such as stuffed Chile peppers, chicken enchiladas, fajitas and even lobster our last night from their authentic menu selection. I do have to say you can’t be waking up to fresh squeezed orange juice, hot coffee, a plate of fresh fruit, and any hot breakfast you would like! The house is located on top of a mountain with spectacular sunset views of the beach and the gorgeous Mountain View’s from behind. We were able to walk to the beach and downtown (restaurants, shopping, pharmacy and grocery store) area everyday in a 10-15 min walk. We were able to experience Puerto Vallarta’s 100th year anniversary with the city. They held parades, concerts and fireworks through the week! The manager of the property, Fidel, helped to assist us with coordinating activities we wanted to try in Puerto Vallarta. He gave us great recommendations and discounts to things such as ziplining, tubing, 4-wheeling (ATV) to waterfalls and even would set up a private boat tour to enjoy the sand bars off the coast if we wanted too! Fidel also gave us local recommendations of restaurants and private beaches in the area. The house itself is very spacious and should accommodate anyone’s needs from a pool on the patio to relax in after the beach, the fast WiFi, the cable/movie options on the TV to the air conditioning in every bedroom! We felt very safe the entire time with having our own keys and security codes to the gates to enter. We felt that we really were able to experience the Mexican culture here versus staying in an “all-inclusive” resort... hahah I was happy to brush up on my Spanish while here! We will definitely be coming back and bringing friends and family. Thanks for the stay!

The house is absolutely amazing. The views, the size of the bedrooms, the assistance from Edwin and Esperanza...everything was absolutely amazing, The location is perfectly situated near everything. The guacamole, salsa, and dinner Esperanza made (mahi mahi and stuffed chicken) amazing. Make sure you get french toast every morning also. This house made our trip!

Four couples spent eight days at Casa Lorenzo, and it was perfect. The warm welcome extended by Fidel, Esparanza and staff ensured that we felt at home from the start. Esparanza's cooking is amazing, and nothing is too much trouble. Fidel is available to arrange excursions and offer suggestions. The house has all the comforts of home. No need to pack blow dryers, shampoo, conditioner etc. It is all there for your use. Bedrooms are spacious and private with comfortable pillows and beds. The views from the deck are spectacular. It is a short walk to the heart of old PV, with no issues walking in the neighborhood after dark. The only drawback is the steep hill to climb to reach the casa, however a taxi to the door is only 50 pesos, so is a non-issue. I would highly recommend to anyone, this certainly wont be our last visit.

Our group of 8 enjoyed a very comfortable and relaxing week at Casa Lorenzo. The staff members were terrific - a special mention to Esperanza for her wonderful cooking! The house has three levels and four bedrooms with the main living area on the middle floor. The lower level could be a separate apartment, it has it's own living area, kitchen and terrace. The house is perched on a hill with a great view of the whole bay. The (steep!) walk down to the arches end of the Malecon takes about 15 minutes - we also found Uber drivers were plentiful and prompt!

What a lovely setting! Gorgeous weather, 85 degrees and not a cloud in the sky the entire week. Total relaxation or get as crazy as you’d like! Our group mainly likes to chill and relax…CHILLAX! At Casa Lorenzo, have it your way! The beautiful casa, the sunsets, Fidel and Esperanza. Magnifico!! Our travel group consists of four couples,"Winter Wanderers". For thirteen years, we've been vacationing together. Typically, we sojourn to an all-inclusive hotel, anywhere we can find warmth in January! This year we decided to try something different. We booked this casa, affording us privacy, a homey setting, sunshine and stunning sunsets, delicious food, drinks and a lot of fun. CASA LORENZO DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! When we arrived, we were greeted by Fidel and Esperanza; lovely people who are in charge of the casa. Upon arrival we were treated to homemade guacamole, salsa Fresca and Margaritas, prepared by Esperanza. As Fidel unloaded our luggage and delivered it to our respective rooms, we sipped on our drinks and acclimated ourselves to the massive space we had available to us for the week. The refrigerator and bar were fully stocked according to our pre-arrival requests, even California Chardonnay! The bedrooms and casita are beautifully decorated in traditional Mexican flair; lots of bright, cheerful color. Each room is unique and spacious, and each has it’s own private bathroom. The rooms are spread throughout the home, each with a cozy seating area. Moving along…our day typically consisted of a delicious breakfast, relaxing at the patio table, visiting and relishing the freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juices, mixed with “a little” vodka, if you so desired. Mid-morning, we’re off to the beach. The beach is a 12-15 minute walk from Casa Lorenzo, “down hill”. We spent most days at El Dorado Restaurant and Beach Club. Fantastic food, great beach, prompt beach service and very clean bathrooms! One day Fidel arranged a lovely boat ride along the shore of Puerto Vallarta. Along the way we stopped at Yelapa and enjoyed a delightful lunch at Fanny’s Restaurant. Most evenings, we gathered by the pool to savor the consistently picturesque PV sunset, sipping our cocktails before dinner. Meals Esperanza prepares are beautiful and wonderfully delicious. Fidel is happy to assist in booking any activity that peaks your interest.

What a beautiful place! From the moment we entered the gate we were just in awe at how nice it is and how well it is taken care of by the staff and owner. Then it sunk in that we actually got to stay there so we wondered through the place from room to room taking in everything! As we wondered through the rooms deciding who was staying in what room, Esperanza was behind the bar blending up fresh margaritas for us to relax and enjoy! Even better - she had some fresh guacamole and salsa ready to go with some chips! What a great way to start off the vacation. Meanwhile Fidel is going over everything with us to make sure we are well taken care of - don't worry though - he will go over it again if needed (as we did because we were on sensory overload!). Most of us stayed 11 days but a couple others came in the middle for just 7 days and we could have stayed even longer! We loved that we were able to put in a grocery list before we even got there and Fidel and Esperanza made sure we had everything we needed. Through the week if there was anything else we needed they made sure to get it for us! What wonderful people! Fidel helped us book several excursions and they were all wonderful! From the Pirate Ship to a private boat rental to go whale watching and snorkeling to ATV tours to do the tequila tasting and zip lines! First time zip lining but it won't be our last! He was even helpful in getting taxis for us if needed. Esperanza is such a sweetheart and wonderful cook and even attempted a recipe for us when we asked her. We loved all of her cooking but you have to try the French Toast, coconut pie, fajitas and chili rellenos!! But anything you ask for you will enjoy!! I have marked this property as a favorite because if we go back in a group again we will definitely be looking at booking Casa Lorenzo!! If you book this you will not be disappointed. As a side note - the house is built into the side of the hill (which makes for the awesome views) but also means there are lots of steps. This wasn't a really big issue for us but I think someone else made a comment about that in a previous review. Taxis are everywhere and Uber is now available in PV and they will take you right to the gate and all the way up the drive if you'd like. The steps are worth it to get the views that this house offers!

Words can't begin to describe what a wonderful time we had while staying at Casa Lorenzo! The owner, Larry Bush, was extremely responsive and really made us feel at ease as he was always readily available to answer any questions before and even after booking. We lived in paradise for week July 5-12th. Esparanza is an amazing cook who even won our kids hearts and they are picky eaters! Fidel was always readily available and was such a joy to talk to, we loved the stories he shared. The hospitality at Casa Lorenzo does not compare to any other place we have ever visited!
