The property was quiet throughout my stay, it was the perfect location for groceries, excursions and sight seeing. A short walk to the beach where the sun rises in the morning sky was perfect. I made use of the beach chair and beach towels. Also provided was a drink cooler, ice trays, a fully functional kitchen, and bathroom with soap, sunscreen lotion and towels. Laundry facilities were priced reasonably and came in handy during my stay. The host Jim was very accommodating at check in and flexible for a later check out. Trying to watch tv before bed was a bit frustrating the remote control was uncooperative trying to change channels and use the guide, I like falling asleep to the tv noise. This apartment has air conditioning so it was easy to fall asleep without the tv. Kapa’a is on the east coast of Kauai and there’s plenty to do here, 13 minute drive to the airport.

This unit is in a great location, about 45 minutes to either end of the north or south shore highways, lots of shops and food nearby. Beach access is 2 minute walk, altho beach is not much to tell. Alignment of unit means you can't catch the fresh air breezes off/on shore, even on the balcony, so unit is warm and requires AC to cool down. But kitchen well-equipped, and the included beach chairs umbrella, and mats are nice features for actual beaches: much appreciated. Good turnaround time on texts with James. TV could use some directions about how to connect; but worked well once connected. Nice to have Safeway 5 minutes away, drug store 2 minutes walk. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

The size was great for 2 people or a small family. Kitchen fully stocked. Location near Cocunut Market Place ideal as many different eating shopping options and close enough to walk. The Island Country Market had everything you needed to stock up. Appreciated the Beach towels in unit along with cooler. Unit was very warm upon arrival and took most of evening to cool down but was fine after. The initial Old smell encountered when entering ( might go away with flooring replacement). Otherwise Great Value! Would recommend. Owners attentive to questions.

Watched the homeless get rousted from the field across the road. Feel bad for the to loose their rooms with a view. Our place was perfect!

Out stay at this unit was very good. The unit was well stocked - they had beach chairs and umbrella that we could us and even an ice chest for our use - really was very nice. The location was good - area was quiet. The unit had a laundry in the next building over - it was all smart phone activated so just be warned it may take a bit to get going - but once we did first load it was a breeze. TV and internet was good. The AC unit struggled a bit to keep up during the day, but was able to cool down nicely at night. Overall very nice stay.

Overall it was a great place to stay. There’s no lack for towels, everything you need for cooking and eating (except for wine glasses), and the beds are comfy and clean. There were a couple of broken things (a towel rack and a cabinet pull) but nothing serious. Oh. The A/C unit was hidden behind a chair. Being in Lihue made it a perfect, central location to explore the island from. All together, it was a great place to stay.

Wonderful condo and hosts! The location is perfect. Shops and stores all around for convenience, but the best thing is that Kapaa is perfectly central to all you want to see. We explored both the north and the south coasts with ease. The condo is comfy and clean and the hosts were great help with restaurant and beach ideas. The place even comes with beach chairs, umbrella, towels, and mats. Next time I come to Kauai I’ll definitely stay here again! Thanks so much Jim and Cherrie!

These condos are older but we’ll cared for. The location is close to restaurants, groceries and the beach! The property has three pools so it spreads people out. Our host, Jim, was very responsive when we had questions. We would stay here in the future.

Everything needed for a laid back vacation.

Well located between north and south Kauai. Nice path to walk close to beach in the morning. Check in was easy. Be sure to ask for laundry card at check in —- we found out the hard way, that is the only way to make the machines work. Condo had nice large deck. Otherwise was okay. No dishwasher. Condo was well worn and could use some updates. Electric outlet in bathroom didn’t work. Still…. Was okay

Perfect location, close to everything. Quiet getaway, great amenities. Fully equipped with everything you need, kitchen necessities, bathroom necessities, etc.

Easy check in process. Loved our lanai and eating breakfast out there everyday. Overall had a very nice stay here.

We really felt comfortable in H10 Plantation Hale. James was very friendly and helpful. He offered information on how to run the TV cable and safe. Also, gave recommendations for restaurants. We appreciate the coziness of the place. It lists 2 full beds in one part of listing and 2 queens in another. They're 2 full beds. I found them comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, knives, silverware, plates, glasses, even Tupperware and ziplock bags. Some spices. We did cook much but just a little. We loved having the folding chairs and beach umbrella and used them daily. We purchased a box fan (and left it there) to "pull" the air conditioning from the small vent in the wall into the bedroom, as the ac unit is in the living room with a vent installed between the two rooms. It provides white noise also. We were very comfortable there and it was quiet. Parking lot was great. We relaxed in the evenings there and went on daytime adventures. We loved the central location and closeness to shopping, restaurants and even the airport. We would stay here again. Thank you!

The flat is quite old but everything worked well and nothing you could need was missing (except a drying rack for swimsuit and beach towels on the balcony). Very convenient location to visit the whole island and at walking distance from a small shopping center and the beach. I would improve the cleanliness of the apartment, mainly of the floor. Unlikely we hade a bad experience at check in which was after reception closure. Nobody was there, no night shift telephone number had been displayed (they forgot to do that) and the owner did not answer to our call. After a very long trip this was very unpleasant. I suggest the owner to provide the night shift reception telephone number with the preliminary informations.

This is a great little condo! Centrally located to get around the island. Also convenient for walking to the beach and little shops and restaurants. The pictures on the internet don't do it justice. Standing on the lanai we had mountain views to our right and ocean views to our left, simply gorgeous! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Mahalo

More spacious than we expected from the pictures. Unit is well-stocked with everything from cooking supplies to tupperware to beach towels to a cooler! Made staying for almost a week very comfortable. Wifi didn't work for 100% of the trip but worked for most of it. Very convenient location and unit came with a parking spot. Definitely would stay again!

It was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The provided beach chairs and cooler were definitely appreciated. Kitchen was well equipped and even had good knives and cutting boards that weren't glass, lol. Lots of rentals have glass cutting boards for some reason and they're dreadful. We cooked breakfast almost everyday and had an easy place to carve up the fruit we bought. The construction wall mentioned in other reviews is a bummer, but there are holes in it so that you can easily walk down to the beach, at least. Great location, easy to drive to north or south Kauai. Just a nice short walk along the beach to Kapa'a, where there's restaurants and stores and such.

This property was super clean, a great location, and Jim was very easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone, and I would definitely stay here again.

The location was wonderful. The unit itself was very dirty, the walls, baseboards, ceiling fans, stove fan, light switches, etc. Also, we found 4 cockroaches, after the one running over my pillow while I was trying to sleep was enough. I’ve been to Kauai 7 times and always use VRBO and have never had any issues. Very disappointed . Black sentiment in the toilet and it ran all the time. A lot of waste of water.

The host and everyone working there were friendly and helpful. Check-in and out was easy. The condo unit was good. Comfortable and clean. The lighting and electrical wiring was a little odd. Bedroom needs more light. The beach towels and beach gear came in handy! Thank you!

We had everything we needed and more! Our host was very accommodating and even allowed us to check out late for our red eye flight! Many good restaurants nearby (we especially enjoyed the gyro stand) and Coconut Market was wonderful! Only downside was a huge wall blocking view of ocean.

Excellent communication with the owner. He suggested things to do in town. We stayed for 10 days and could not be more satisfied. Location is right near town — groceries, take-out, and short walk to the beach. Thanks !

We had no car most of our week there. We walked to beach, restaurants, coconut marketplace, Safeway, and the bus stop to get to Hanalei. Our place was facing south and would have been nicer facing north for shade in the afternoon. Place is not an upscale resort but peaceful and there is always room In one of the pools!

I've got to say that once again Plantation Hale worked out perfectly for my family. This is the 2nd time we've stayed there as a family of 5, and this time was no exception. Jim was fast on any questions we had, and the accommodations were exactly like was described and pictured. What wasn't described was how many small touches there were, from extra sunblock in the cabinets, to coffee in the kitchen and dish soap, etc. Small amenities you would need arriving but may be too tired to go out and purchase. We loved it and the location is central and perfect to go North or South and explore the island. 10/10 would stay again!!

We were here to visit family so this place was just what we needed since our family lives in Kapaa. It had everything we needed for our stay . It was clean and beds were comfortable.

Worked for us as a funky, casual place. With prices soaring on Kauai, we loved cleanliness and the price. Just know you aren’t getting a perfectly new and updated place. Laundry facilities in the building and pool with hot tub on the grounds. We never walked to the beach as there was an enormous and ugly temporary wall blocking the way and it was easier to drive to the dozens of amazing beaches around the island.
