Beautifully maintained home in Lake Gaston near grocery and perfect spot on the lake! We loved the ease of this home and have already booked it again!

We had a wonderful week at "5 Boys on the Lake"!! The home is even nicer in person. The screen porch was our favorite room for all 11 of us to be together eating, playing games, watching the storms pass through and simply just being together!! The dock also had plenty of room for all of us to hang and and be together, whether in the water or sitting on furniture provided (the hammock swings were definitely showing their wear and tear!). Our 6 yo granddaughter loved mastering the youth-sized kayak!! Though this house faces west, the trees and the shade of the dock provide all the shade you need during the day and then lovely sunsets were enjoyed in the evening. We hope to come back again!!

My family of 15 had a great stay during July 4 week. The house was very comfortable for our large family. The kitchen is well stocked, beds were comfortable and the downstairs work out great for the teenage grandchildren. The screen-in-porch was perfect for our evening family time. Very nice dock area with the covered roof and ceiling fans. Grandkids loved the kayaks, paddle boards and the game room. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay and the property was as described. It had all the kitchen and other amenities we needed and we appreciated that we didn’t have to bring our own linens, hand soap, dish soap, etc. The huge screened porch was wonderful and we spent a lot of time there watching sunrises and sunsets and enjoying time as a group.
We did encounter some wear (broken slider door handle, broken paddle board), and the owners responded immediately when notified of these issues. Overall, we would recommend staying here.

2nd year in a row we've rented this property and it was perfect once again. Our group of 10 had plenty of space and the cove was nice and quiet for cruising and paddleboarding. Will definitely be coming back again next year!

We had a fantastic stay with our friends! The dock was perfect - lots of space to swim around, and easy getting access with a boat rental! The kitchen was incredibly well stocked - we typically have to bring our own kitchen appliances/nicer knives but this kitchen had everything we needed. The garage fridge took a while to chill things, but by the 2nd day it was great! The wifi was also very strong, which was a huge plus for friends who did some remote work. We will absolutely book this house again!

The house was clean and nice. The deck was a little worn and not much room for boats to be docked especially if kids want to jump off the dock. Wakes could get pretty rough with all the wake boats in the cove. Apparently, you can't use the community boat ramp so you have to launch a few miles away. Very rude resident told us we weren't allowed to use the ramp. I was under the assumption we were guests of the house owner and should be allowed to use the ramp. The book at the house didn't say one way or the other but the gate was unlocked. Overall it was nice and would recommend.

This was our first visit to Lake Gaston and we will definitely be going back! 5 Boys at the lake was perfect for our family. We were able to dock our boat right there at their dock, the kids loved fishing and swimming right there!

My group of several families had a wonderful stay over Memorial Day weekend. The house is roomy and comfortable with great group kid sleeping options. The paddle boards and kayaks were great to have on hand and used a lot by our group. The outdoor firepit and indoor game room were fantastic. Our check in was delayed by several hours because the cleaners were not finished. We could not get a signal on the living room tv. We were outside most of the time so it didn’t matter. Overall recommend!

Everyone loved the home and setting. The teens loved the lake and the use of the canoes and paddle boards. House was clean, had great kitchen, and the screened in porch was where everyone gathered! Would love to stay again!!

5 Boys is a great property. Everything was as expected with lots of room for 12 people. The kitchen was very well stocked and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed fishing from the dock, ping pong and an evening campfire. The owner was very responsive. We hope to return soon

Comfortable house with plenty of room for the 9 of us. When we weren't at the water we were on the spacious screened porch. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards and the deep water at the dock was great for jumping in.

Wonderful week with immediate family from Seattle, Salt Lake and Apex. Found this house to be perfect for our family of 11. Kitchen well stocked great beds, terrific boat dock whips and screened in porch all added to a fun week on Lake Gaston. Host AnneMarie quick to respond to any questions or needs we had.

Great Family Vacation
The property was great for our family reunion. We had 4 families consisting of 8 adults and 5 children. The screened-in porch was perfect for socializing outside, and we loved the covered dock. Be aware there are a few places on the dock that are easy to lose your footing because they are interior corner spots where the wood edging ends (our son fell in once on accident but he is fine). The game room is great for the kids, but the foosball table did have a broken leg upon arrival. The kitchen was well stocked with every utensil you would need and more. We loved how the lights were all well labeled. We would definitely stay here again. We loved the kayaks and paddle boards that come with the property. The host was very responsive and answered all of our questions in a timely manner.

Great time at this property. Super clean and all the beds very comfy. This is the house was located at the perfect cove for all lake fun especially wake surfing. Great access to the main lake and amenities such as gas.
Everything was perfect and host answered all questions promptly. Would stay again in a min.

Great Place
The house was perfect for us. We had 2 bedrooms on the main lever which worked out perfectly for son in wheelchair and mom with walker. The screened in porch was wonderful. The other family members had a great time on the water with the Kayaks and the paddleboards. It was a very nice vacation.

Great Family House
5 Boys is a great place to rent with a family! We have two young kids and the upstairs was perfect for our 9 month to crawl around and the game room in the garage was great for a our 3 year old. We enjoyed the paddle boards and rented a boat and tied up at the dock no problem. Communication with the owners was great and check in was easy. Would recommend staying!

Outstanding Property
Our stay was wonderful. The house was as advertised. We had everything we needed, and the place was peaceful. We were also close to a grocery store, as well as boat/jetski rental. We enjoyed our stay, and would stay there again. It was the perfect size for our family. Everyone had a great time swimming, fishing and sitting by the fire.

Nice family reuion
This house is great if you want to spend some time with family and/or friends. The house is very well equiped and clean. The kitchen has everything you need and the views of the house are amazing. We had a wonderful time there, we felt very confortable and it was everything we needed for a family reunion! In winter you will be able to walk around few malis from there, and enjoy the views. We found what we were looking for, a beatiful place to stay with a lake, a place to relax and have a good time with family.

Beautiful home, stunning view and fun activities
We loved this spacious, clean house located beside beautiful Lake Gaston. The deck along the back of the house is screened and was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view any time of the day. There was so much for the kids (and adults!) to do: kayaking and paddle boarding as well as playing air hockey and ping pong. The house is decorated nicely and the interior is designed so that there is plenty of privacy for everyone. We definitely would like to visit here again!

Wonderful spot!
This was our first trip to Lake Gaston. 5 Boys at the Lake was the perfect location for our extended family to meet up. We have family that own homes on the Lake, so it was a great time to catch up with all of them. The house was very accommodating and we had plenty of room for all 12 of us Although the weather forecast predicted rain several of the days, we were pleasantly surprised to find mostly sun! We would definitely recommend this home!!
