The condo was adorable, it was clean, decorated so cute, had everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable, I loved my bathroom. Captiva is still recovering from hurricane Ian, but it’s still so beautiful!!!

The unit is in excellent shape and has a beautiful view of the sunsets. Very close to the pool and beach and an easy walk to a number of restaurants and shops. Overall the property is still recovering from Ian but the location and the unit itself were A-one! We also forgot an item and had to get back into the unit after check out. It was no problem and one call to the manager solved the matter is less than a minute. Excellent service. We are thinking about returning in the Fall.

This home was a great get away for a few days for my daughter and me. With the exception of some difficulty getting the door code to work upon arrival, we had a smooth and enjoyable stay. We hope to return!

We were initially drawn to the interior design of the property, the location, and the ability to prepare meals ourselves. In person, all of it lived up to the promise, and the kitchen was particularly well-equipped. There were, however, a number of things that didn’t work in the apartment, but when we phoned the management company, they were very friendly and came out the same day to fix things. The broken items were all individually small things, but collectively it surprised us so many had gone unnoticed. I would suggest the management company implement more regular quality control checks so that it’s not left to the renter to draw their attention to broken things. The other note worth sharing is that properties at that end of Captiva is that grocery stores are few and they close early (6 or 7pm), so I would advise renters to shop for groceries before coming to the island, or to shop in Sanibel before making the trek to Captiva. All in all, we’d definitely rent it again.

This is a very nicely decorated, well kept, and updated condo that is privately held in a larger but, older resort community. The condo is on the 1st floor of 3 level building. Very easy 2-3 minute walk to the beach shared by all the residents of the resort community. You cannot check into the room via lockbox until 4:00.

Amazing that there were beach chairs and an umbrella, made a huge difference. Lots of towels was great. Kitchen well appointed. TVs were modern and fantastic. Loved all the hooks, can't have enough. A few things for minor maintenance:
1) the fuse box door was open and didn't easily close, we didn't want to force it; it's located in the MBR behind the door
2) a few of the plantation shutters slats have come disconnected with the spine, or the whole shutter is loose and has no tension
3) the dishwasher door has zero tension and falls open anytime its' not clicked shut, super annoying and could hurt someone
4) master bathroom, the main temperature handle in the shower comes right off, needs to be re-attached Limited interaction, but when I called once right after booking, the person I spoke with was great.

Amazing Beach Location!
This condo is stylishly renovated and a pleasure to stay in. The view is directly over the dunes to the ocean, with a condo pool to the right and left, but not directly in your line of sight. There's a path to the beach just to the right and beach chairs/umbrella provided at the condo. Parking is free and right in front. Unit is on second floor, with stairs and an elevator available. There is a restaurant, Starbucks, a provision store, and a few stores on the resort property, and the "town" is a short 0.4 mile walk. TVs are new and have Netflix, Prime, etc. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Bathrooms are clean and modern, with lots of towels (beach towels provided also). Wonderful location to relax and unwind. Dolphins and small rays spotted at the beach!

Very Nice Condo
We had a great stay here recently. The condo is updated and very nice. Great location within walking distance to restaurants and excellent ocean view. Only negative was the lack l of wifi. It wasn’t working for this unit and the free resort wifi was not very good.

This condo does not disappoint at all! Clean. New. All the things you need in the kitchen. The bedrooms were beautiful and all new: the bathrooms too! The beach was amazing. We loved this unit. We will rent this same one next time we visit!

Wonderful property! The beach was lovely. Our flights were the only problem and actually missed out on first 24 hours. Wish we could have had an opportunity to make it up. The only thing about Vrbo you seldom get anyone to be simpathatic when problems arise. Lovely property but management should try harder to help the customer.

I can't wait to go back
This property was amazing! The decor is nice, the beds are comfy and it has everything you need for a great day at the beach. The view is amazing and it's a very quick walk to the beach. We especially liked that this property is very close to restaurants and stores. You can get to a great little street by walking just 5-10 minutes on the beach! We highly recommend heading to Jensen's Marina. We did a two hour private boat tour of the Pine Island sound. It was beautiful, we saw tons of dolphins, and learned a lot about all of the islands out there. We can't wait to return to Captiva!

Really nice getaway spot. Condo is nicely updated and on a beautiful spot on Captiva Island. We rented golf cart to get around the island. We recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet beach getaway.

I wish to provide some feedback to a recent vacation package. Although the vacation and accommodations were beyond what was expected and the time spent in Captiva was exhilarating a few issues in the beginning could have easily been avoided if communication and advertising on behalf of Booking.com/Priceline.com and Dream Vacation Rentals were done correctly and not advertised and communicated in a deceitful manner. Additionally, the rude customer service that was given on day 1 in attempts to get clarification started our vacation on a sour note.
During and after the booking process for 2418 at South Seas there was no wording that this rental did not include the amenities of the resort. In fact, it stated that we would be responsible to pay the hotel directly for it's fees, in the amount of $395.12. Additionally, the Dream Vacation Rentals invoice states a total cost of $1634.87, but charged my card $1958.35 and reflects a negative balance of $-323.48.
Our itinerary also stated the resort stay included the amenities of the pool and beach. Imagine our disappointment when first arriving to the gate and were repeatedly there was no reservation in our name and almost being denied entry until we showed our booking itinerary. Imagine our anger when we went to the front desk and were rudely told we could not use the pools, we could not use the restaurants, we could not sit on the beach in any area marked South Seas. It was with great dismay we learned ever so rudely that the owners of these South Seas Villas are not respected by South Seas itself and discriminated against.
Having arrived early, and being shunned from the lobby area we attempted to call Dream Vacation Rentals directly and were yet again met with rudeness as we asked questions about our above encounter, attempted to get clarification on what our rental suite would have for amenities, and was there a possibility to gain entry early. The women had no basic knowledge to provide us with on 2418. She stated she would call back after she checked with housekeeping if the room had been done. After not hearing back we called back to inquire and again was met with irritation by the agent. We were left with no knowledge of the unit, the amenities, and no where to turn. After several hours at the 4:00 pm check in time we found an exceptional suite, tastefully decorated, and having all the items one would need for a fabulous vacation. It was disheartening this was not included in the advertisement of the suite.

For check in, notify gate attendant you have a rental through Dream Vacation Rental. Go directly to the room, and enter key code".
Had it read as above all of the hurt, fear, and anger of the first several hours of our trip would have been avoided. Had clearer advertisement and communication about the rental been offered we still would have rented it.
The first day of poor customer service continued on that day. We had grabbed one of the supplied beach towels and headed to the beach to catch the sunset. We dropped our towels in an empty area of the beach. Not far from a designated South Seas only area. The signage read the area was for South Seas guests (which we assumed we were) from 11 am to 6 pm. It was 7:15 pm and as we exited the water a South Seas employee approached us asking to see our bracelets. We informed him we were staying in 2418 and did not have bracelets. He aggressively told us he wouldn't kick us off the beach this time however we were not to be in that area.
Again, it was quite obvious owners of suites who use independent agencies to rent out their space are not respected and given common courtesy by South Seas employees. Having stayed at the resort in 2018 I had a much different and more pleasant experience with personnel there. For the rest of this trip we avoided the staff and the resort. Additionally, calling Dream Vacation Rentals was also a negative experience.

Excellent place to stay!
The property was beautiful and conveniently located within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The only downside was that we did not have access to some of the amenities on the property. Like the trolly and the beach chairs.

⏺ Upon arrival keypad did not work.
Also did not work on the last day.
⏺ Suggestion to have coffee filters. When getting in late at night what is the thing you want first thing in the morning? Coffee. We bought some and left there for the next visitor.
⏺ Needs new kitchen scissors. Maybe sounds picky, but if you need to use them, like we did, you’ll understand.
⏺ Wi-fi was not the best, for some reason. It worked most of the time, but not all the time.
⏺ Washer/dryer situation not ideal. $2. And it only takes coins. These days who has coins? I went to 3 places on the island to get enough change. That was frustrating!
