First time to the Gatlinburg area and it did not disappoint. Cabin and location was just far enough to get away but close enough to everything. Views were amazing, cabin was excellent, and communication superb. Thank you!!

We enjoyed this beautiful, clean, and spacious house with our adult children. The location was quiet and convenient for coming and going to daily adventures in the area. The deck was a great atmosphere for hanging out, playing guitars, and admiring the starry night sky! Just perfect!

This was the 3rd time we stayed at High Expectations. It's a beautiful cabin situated in a quiet neighborhood with amazing mountain views. It is away from the hustle and bustle but is only minutes from the attractions and restaurants. The cabin is equipped with everything you might need and it has flat parking. We even seen a bear in the backyard this time. Jeannette is a great host and takes care of things right away if the need arises. Looking forward to our next Gatlinburg trip.

Our family had a wonderful few days in this amazing cabin! I could have sat on the back porch admiring the beautiful view all day! The house was well stocked and the owners were very responsive when I had any questions. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we would definitely try to stay here!

Great communication prior to our arrival, we arrived late in the evening to a clean beautiful log cabin. In the morning we enjoyed coffee on the deck overlooking the Smoky Mountains listening to the birds. The cabin offers plenty of areas to relax, enjoy the hot tub overlooking the mountains or to have fun in the game room. The location is perfect, away from the busyness of Gatlinburg but close enough to go into town or the National Park. We had no complaints and highly recommended this property if visiting the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area!

A lovely place! Of all the places we have stayed in the
Smokey Mountains this has been the best! Not just the place but all the little things…like a cosmetic mirror in the bathroom, nice kitchen ware, great TV selection. We like to hike and come every year to do that & have great food! Hope to rent this place again next year.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! The cabin was very clean and had every amenity we could dream of! We have stayed in 4 other cabins prior and this cabin’s view were breathtaking. Perfect location close to town and easy parking for our truck. Hope to come back again someday!

Great views from an awesome cabin. Can’t say enough about the property manager, Jeannette, so helpful with providing us with information, places to go and see and checking to see if things are going well for us. And we enjoyed her beautiful artwork throughout the cabin.

Our family very much enjoyed our stay at High Expectations. The cabin had everything we needed, it was very family friendly. The view of the mountains was spectacular! We even saw a mama bear and her cubs! The cabin was also conveniently located a few minutes from Gatlinburg. Highly recommend!

Absolutely gorgeous, clean cabin. Didn't want to leave! Property is beautiful and secluded. Definitely would go back. So many great things to see and do in the area. Host communication was first rate!

I am a tough critic when it comes to staying in hotels or rentals. I researched VRBO for hours to find what I thought was a perfect rental. I was so impressed with all of the 5 star reviews but wanted to make my own judgement. The reviews are spot on. This is a cozy, comfy, wonderful cabin with views from the decks that will take your breath away. Just sitting on the deck and looking at the mountains was total bliss. My husband and I loved everything...the cleanliness, the location, the views, the communication.. and the list goes on. I had asked Jeannette a few questions and for some recommendations and she was kind enough to send a detailed message that was so helpful. And if you are at all interested in star gazing, this cabin, which is secluded, but not isolated, was perfect for viewing the night sky. If you are at all hesitant about booking this property... don't be. Everything about it is as advertised and more!

This was our second time staying at High Expectations. It is a beautiful cabin with everything you need plus a beautiful mountain view. Close to everything but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. Jeannette is a great host. We had one small issue but Jeannette had it fixed right away. Would definitely stay at High Expectations again.

I want to start this review by saying that me and my now wife, took 3 months planning and hand-picking this most perfect place to have our small wedding. From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed and cozy! Description of this place was exactly what it says, ide say better! Everything was so clean and perfect! Jaccuzi was so clean as well, faced the mountains! The art in the house is beautiful, view is outstanding and all around i rate this place an perfect 10! Also, i was blown away to receive a vase of white roses from the owners, to congratulate us on out marriage! Instantly brought tears to our eyes! Nicest thing ever. Probably the best vacation and stay ive ever had, we will be back! My favorite part of this trip was waking up and sitting in the glide swing on the top porch looking into the mountains!

The House was as advertised. Great location and lots to do near by. The house had everything needed to move in for the week. I brought a few items and left them in the car. The family loved the game room area and my wife and I enjoyed our coffee with a view every morning. Would stay again in the future.

As a property manager for beach houses I have high standards and everything was perfect! Very clean, well stocked and organized. The kids corner was perfect for my 2 year daughter and the baby gate for the stairs was super helpful! The views were incredible! Exactly what we were looking for. Close to town and the park without having to be within the craziness of downtown Gatlinburg. I’m already planning my next trip back!

This was our first time in gatlinburg. The cabin is beautifully appointed with unique decor and paintings which gave the cabin a homey feel. The kids loved playing on the arcade game. The place is convenient to get to with grocery and restaurants nearby which we preferred over the crowded downtown after a tiring day of hiking. So glad we found this property, it was a memorable stay and I’m looking forward to returning!

We had a wonderful stay at this well-equipped cabin. Plenty of space for our party of 6. Kitchen had everything we needed. The views were beautiful, really enjoyed the seating outside. Great location outside of the main bustle of downtown Gatlinburg but still close enough it was easy to get to the park entrances and town. Cabin was spotless upon arrival. Would highly recommend a stay here!

This was definitely the place to recharge! Very clean, comfortable, & fully stocked. Two beautiful porches to relax on as the beautiful scenery & mountains engulfed us! Relaxation! We will be back. As we were leaving, a mama black bear & her FOUR cubs appeared in the road & walked away from us! The perfect ending to a fabulous vacation! Thank you!!

We had the best time staying in the cabin! Everything we needed was supplied and communication with Jeanette was exceptional! The cabin had the most amazing view and was so clean throughout. We enjoyed playing pool, video games, darts, and of course, the breathtaking view!! I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone needing a getaway! We can’t wait to come back one day!

High Expectations cabin is amazing. The cabin was easy to get to and very clean. Has everything you could ever need along with plenty of entertainment at the cabin and nearby. Quick drive to shopping, downtown Gatlinburg, Smoky Mountain National Park, and grocery. Perfect for a couple or small family. Absolutely amazing views! Will definitely be staying here again and will be recommending to family and friends! Our host was extremely nice and helpful with anything we needed.

Absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful cabin. The views from the deck are amazing and the location to downtown Gatlinburg could not be better. The host had the cabin clean and beds are so comfy. Would look forward to staying here again.
