The location in Portree was perfect. I didn’t have a view room but I just stepped out the front door and there it was.

The location and the view was nice and fine.

My room wasn't able to close at all, not to mention locking it. Tried to message and call the host, but didn't hear any feedback nor addressing the issue until the day I leave. (I stayed for two nights.)

There is nothing to like about this hotel except the location. It is opposite to the beach and the view will be good. You might be tempted to book this hotel because of the price but the room will be really really small. The management did their best in providing the basics. The check in / out was very smooth.

- The room was reasonably sized but very clean. What was special about it was the view to the Portree bay, a great view to wake up to in the morning. - The self check-in process was straightforward - The staff happily accommodated our request to leave our car in the parking spot for a few hours after our check-out while we were exploring the village.

The room was uncomfortably crowded. It was difficult for two people to pass in the aisle. No where to set anything. The bunk beds + full size bed were too much for the room’s square footage.

slack communication from owners, even when the toilet did not work! I had to use the public toilets in the local square for my entire stay in Portree because the toilet did not flush and the owners could not even reply to my contact! Then refused to acknowledge the unacceptable situation or give a refund!

A central guest house with great views of the bay and beautiful city from room window! quiet, clean, comfortable and very central location. Rooms are cozy and fitting for the general feel of the small beautiful city of Portree.

no elevator - so with luggage a bit difficult. We took the 4 room bed for the family - the room is great, maybe a bit small for 4 people with all the luggage - but we really loved the place just the same. Also Wi-Fi was a bit slow.

Property is located in a beautiful spot in Portree just above the harbor with sea view.

We never actually met anyone of the staff in person, that is a bit lacking from the experience since Scottish people are lovely. Internet was a bit too slow. Parking may be a bit of a hassle since parking is located on the main road with floating traffic.

This is the place to stay. Reasonably priced, stunning views, perfectly walkable to the rest of the city, AND parking.

No staff on site. Keys left in envelope in entrance where anyone could pick up.

We had the best possible view in Portree, and it couldn't have been easier to find. Our room, while cozy, was well appointed and the windowsill allowed for sitting and just taking in the view, with a couple of pillows that were provided. I wish I had heeded the host's warning to book dining in advance. While we found nice places to eat dinner, all the hotel restaurants (highly reviewed) were accommodating only hotel guests the day of dining. But we had great wi-fi and great ales to enjoy in little glass green houses positioned outside The West Highlands Pub, the pub of The Portree, the hotel. The wait staff said they were going to store these great little havens when the weather turns to winter.

Excellent location, beautiful view, with all facilities - store, town center, restaurants, pubs, nearby.

First floor rooms are better than ground floor rooms.
