the location by the beach was great. it was quiet and had all the basics. the football court was a plus. the reception staff were always very helpful. the cleaners passed every day and did a good job.

it’s a bit old and in need of renovation. the pool table is broken and the gym is a bit limited. only one pool was heated but given how early in the season it was that was understandable.

The one-bedroom apartment was very nice indeed - spotlessly clean, a good size, light, and with a balcony overlooking the pool through the pine trees. Housekeepers came in every morning to change the bedlinen and towels, clean the bathroom and wash all the floors - an unexpected bonus we really appreciated. It was very quiet at the time we went (which turned out to be the final week before closing for the winter), but I suspect it would be much noisier in the main season - there was a basketball court just next to our apartment which happily was only used a couple of times we were there. It might prove very annoying if in constant use. The swimming pool is large with a separate hydrotherapy pool, both constantly monitored by hotel staff. The location of the complex is good - about a 10 minute walk into the centre of town where there are lots of shops, restaurants and bars. There is a beach close by but it is not for small children or anyone not steady on their feet as it shelves quite steeply and is loose, gritty sand which makes it quite tricky to get in and out of the sea - but with a little beach bar it is perfect for sunbathing. We would happily return and can recommend this holiday venue.

The main bug-bear we had with this complex was the parking - whilst it was absolutely excellent to be able to park safely under the apartment building (one of the things that had attracted us to it in the first place) we were unpleasantly surprised to be told on arrival we would be charged 10 euros per day to park there. Even at the tail-end of the season parking is at a premium in Playa d'Aro. To rub salt into the wound, the receptionist informed me that had we booked direct with them, rather than through Booking.com, we would have been offered free parking. Since we would not have gone there had it not been for Booking.com because we did not know the place was there, this proved very annoying - why penalise new customers in this way? The other niggle was that there was hardly any English language television channels - just one news channel - yet there were plenty of options in other languages. We don't go on holiday to watch television, but we had one very wet day and some entertainment would have been welcome.

The room is cleaned every day, facility has a kitchen with sufficient appliances. Even a washing machine is available, handy if your luggage has for instance a weight limit. Parking is very easy, the whole complex has an underground parking (but payed parking).

Not applicable for us as a couple without kids but a family might not like that two single beds are located in the living area and are (during the day) used as couch. Although the washing machine is there we missed an iron and iron board.

The area was perfect , everything in a short walk, staff were really friendly, everything is really well maintained and kept so clean

Small dislike was lack of English channels on TV only because when you have a young baby and you sit in early at night would be nice to have a wide range we could only find one news channel

The restaurant is very bland in many ways. A let down for the complex really. Basic food options and dated decor. The friendly staff helped however.

Loved the location, with a superb array of beautiful little turquoise beaches extremely close. The pool was awesome with clear perfectly temperate water and wonderful chairs to sit around relaxing on. Property was clean and well loved. Apartments were well equiped. Beds were comfy. Supermarkets nearby. Friendly and helpful reception. A shower head broke in our room and a repairman was there in under 10 minutes. On the whole a very nice property and experience.

They have these weird super-wide pillows that make no sense. You can't leave the aircon on AND have a window/door open - while I understand the logic, sometimes you just want a flow of cool air. The aircon is veeeery noisy and can make it hard to sleep. Pool staff are brainless with some of their instructions, like not allowing kids to play on your shoulders, and not allowing any blow up toys in the pool, so you're sometimes just swimming around like a dull fish. Oh and the stovetops are USELESS. They are underheated and don't cook anything in under 30 minutes. Absolutely unacceptable to not be able to cook anything good for 10 nights.

We loved everything about this amazing accommodation. Mostly how flexible it was for eating there, or in town or in your apartment. It was a beautiful site and immaculately kept with fantastic staff.

There was, honestly, nothing that could be better.

The hotel's facilities were great, we were staying in block B, and the apartment was very well equipped with everything you need to cook. There is a pool for little children which was warm and another outdoor Jacuzzi. the location is close to the town center (5 min drive with a car) or 1 km on foot. there is also a children club and a huge playground for kids.

- The breakfast was very poor, with no vegetables or salads, just a few pastries, hard cheese, and some meat, the bread was not fresh and the staff was not very welcoming. We were very disappointed and preferred to prepare our meals in the apartment. - Parking costs 10 euros per day which were also disappointing. - There are no towels at the pool, we had to pay 3 euros per towel per stay, and wash it ourselves.

The hotel was really like an oasis underneath the pine trees. Really nice pool area, never overcrowded, and with attentive but pleasant life guards. We were surprised by how many other activities that were there, like table tennis, football/basketball and a simple, but adequate gym. Staff was helpful, and always with a smile on their face. Just a short stroll - even for nine year olds - from town centre with lots of restaurants, and from several (!) beaches.

The onsite restaurant wasn't quite up to the standard of rest of the hotel - neither the food nor the service. A bit strange really. Breakfast (in a different area) was good though - only too much :) We only had it once, the rest of the days we made our own. That's a brilliant option to have.

We stay here at least once a year and our 2 girls absolutely love the pool and play area. There are beautiful beaches a short distance away and an easy walk into town. It's a wonderful place for a family.
