Everything it’s is good tnks

We were so excited to rent this property for a girls weekend as soon as we pulled up we knew it wasn’t going to be what we expected. Cobwebs covered the house, grass was overgrown, broken down grills and other shrapnel was laid up against the house. We enter the front door and thought maybe it wasn’t so bad- even though some of the furniture pictured here on VRBO wasn’t even in the house it looked quite different but then we immediately noticed the state of the house was very run down. As soon as we walked outside we noticed the most horrible smell ever, there was a leak of sewage in the backyard with toilet paper and other garbage floating around in it. To top it off they had a giant piece of plywood with rusty nail sticking out of it to hide the sewage puddle that was actually seeping under the house. I have photos to prove all of us. I immediately messaged the owner to let them know and back-and-forth between very slow responses they told us somebody would be out tomorrow to check it out even though “nobody else complained about sewage smell”. The sewage had been there for a while. The hot tub was unusable we couldn’t even keep the windows open. Because we couldn’t keep the windows open and we really noticed how musty and moldy the house smelled, it was horrible. Once we noticed the toilets weren’t flushing anymore we had to leave late at night. The house was inhabitable. The owner wouldn’t refund us fully even though we did not even spend the night at the house. The owner was very combative and said that if I leave a bad review that they would leave a bad review for me as well, not sure what that means but I’m sure they will reply to this review with something dismissive because that’s all they were to us the entire time was dismissive. The next morning the owner sent me pictures of the sewage being drained and pumped but still told me there was no issue LOL. Think twice before you book this VRBO.

Beds were comfortable and the host was great! Kitchen was well supplied and hottub was a great plus! One reccomendation is to bring some spare blankets if it gets chilly at night as the bed blankets were thin. Grill worked great and overall would go back in a heartbeat!

We just slept there and only used coffee maker and toaster nice place to come back too. Grandkids loved seeing deer in yard.

Very organized and clean. Has everything you need. Great location. Host was very responsive. Will be back next year!

The house was as described and we had a lovely time there. The layout has two bedrooms and a bath each on either side of the main kitchen/living/dining room. This was great for us since our group was two families with young kids - we each took opposite sides of the house so the kids couldn't wake each other in the middle of the night. Good toys for younger kids. Short walk to the lake where you can swim, fish, play sports or visit the playground (we did all!). The smart tv used an interface we weren't familiar with (Samsung?) and we had some trouble figuring it out. Would recommend bringing your own Roku or similar. The air conditioning is one unit in the main room, so bedrooms can get a little stuffy if you have unseasonably warm weather. Would have liked more screens on doors/windows so we could have enjoyed the fresh air when the weather did cooperate. Host was responsive. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Home was clean with all amenities working as described. Host was communicative and lake was short distance away. Beds were all very comfortable.

The place was nice we had trouble with ants and a mouse and at one point for over 12 hours had no water the owner moves us to a much better property but we lost a day of activities and things we could have been doing because of no water.
