The house is the perfect walking distance into town to get ice cream and to shop. There was plenty of room for the eight of us and the kitchen is a great layout for cooking and serving a house full of people. We were really grateful that the pool was open even though it wasn’t very warm out yet My only complaint was that VRBO said check in was 4, and Windermere said 5. We drove into town from the Westside, which is unpredictable, so we ended up sitting on the front lawn while we waited for the electric lock to respond to our personal code.

Nothing could have been better for our group!! House had everything we needed and the space was beautiful!! Do clean! The only thing is we needed to run to the store because we ran out of toilet paper.

Great location, amazing house!

House and Pool was nice - a few things that were disappointing: 1) Ice maker did not work - had to find Ice in town, and most places were out. 2) Shower rod in downstairs bath needs to be looked at - when 'gently pulling back curtin, the rod completely came off wall - and my husband had to fix. 3) deck outside - many of the screws were sticking up from the deck - and my husband had to fix them - so the grandchildren would not stub / or injury there feet. 4) Recommend getting a smaller dresser in the downstairs queen bedroom that is street side - so the A/C vent is not blocked anymore - which as of now is - so we had to pull away from the wall to cool down the room. 5) there was no shade over the picnic table area outside as shown in the photo's. We had brought our own pop up tent which thankfully helped with the hottest part of the afternoon.

We could not have loved our stay any more! We spend a huge amount of time in Chelan and this was by far one of our favorites! The house is huge, the pool is beautiful, we had every amenity we needed! Cannot wait to stay again 😊

The house is private but still very close to the downtown part of Chelan (less than 10 minutes walk). All the amenities you could want or need!

A wonderful home for a family vacation. The place was super clean and open floor plan layout was great! Hot tub and pool looked bigger on “site” photos. The air conditioning was “spotty” in 2 bedrooms and we could not adjust it for comfort( higher, too cold).It would have been helpful to have instructions for washer/dryer, oven and dishwasher. Inaccurate or incomplete information about gardeners coming and garbage/ recycle day. Location is perfect to go to town, go to the lake and rentals of boats/jet skis. It is near a main road so traffic can be noisy at times. So unfortunate for us to end our week without a clean pool! Response from management was not appropriate for how much the rent is/ day! We recently stayed at 'A Stone's Throw' and thoroughly enjoyed the property. We were a group of two families - 4 adults and 4 kids ages 12(3x) and 14. The sleeping arrangements worked great, the house was very clean, and even though it looked small from the front was quite roomy and comfortable. When we were at the house, we were in the kitchen/family area and/or outside in the backyard. The backyard is great - the deck is nice with an controllable awning for shade in the afternoon and the pool area was great for the kids. There's a deep end and a shallow end and they spend hours in the pool. The kitchen was well equipped - often times you stay at rentals and you get 1 frying pan, a set of dull knifes, and four plates. This place had all of utensils and pots and pans needed which was great, as we cooked most of our meals. Also, one super convenient thing about the property is the access to the lake. It's literally a two minute walk down to the lake and there are steps that lead right into the water. We could haul are paddleboards down and hop right in, plus also the kids brought their floaties down a couple of times to swim around. It's also super close to town and all of the amenities/shops that come with it, so that was also nice.

We all enjoyed our stay so much. Our only regret is that we didn’t reserve a second stay this summer, before it got booked up. The pool was so nice and large. The home was adorably furnished and very clean. Every detail was perfect!

Besides toaster not working, 2 rooms on main floor and downstairs rooms being FREEZING regardless of the temp in the house our group had a great time. Hot tub was perfect 👌🏼

We lived this house. Extremely well stocked and set up for many guests.

The home was fabulous, the online photos were accurate, the location was a super short walk to town, the pool was perfection and most everything was in stock as far as the kitchen. Only downsides were a few needed fixes that somehow hadn't been found yet...a broken glass light, a broken towel rack, two broken blinds, a broken fridge drawer and broken blender. (Fortunately there was a second one...yay!) These issues didn't impede our stay at all and when I called, maintenance offered to come fix what they could; however, it wasn't necessary to be fixed for our stay. We just wanted it noted for the next person's stay and didn't want it to reflect badly on us as incoming renters.. It's a beautiful home (and someone has a great eye for design!)and we loved every minute of our stay.

Loved the house and the pool! Had some issues with water pressure, but those were resolved pretty quickly (the city was doing work on water lines). Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay!

We stayed for four days and nights at A Stone’s Throw: Poolside Retreat in Chelan, Washington and we enjoyed every minute of it! The location of the house was wonderful – within easy walking distance of downtown Chelan, fishing docks, the river walk, and for the more hardy walkers, the waterslide park. The house itself was perfect – clean, very well-stocked, light, soothing décor. We hated to leave. The pool was an added bonus that we truly enjoyed. There were six in our party and we had plenty of room. All in all, a very memorable get-away in a house we hope to return to again!

There was plenty of room for 3 families, kids loved the basement set up, very nice and comfy! Loved the kitchen, family room, large dinning table for all to sit! If you cook with special pans, I suggest bringing them. We ended up purchasing a griddle to be able to cook pancakes. The fry pan at the house was just not cutting it. Could have been the cook :) Close enough to walk to town, which we did most evenings for ice cream. Very close to Slide Waters. Just a nice location.
