Gathering of 5 longtime HS friends and their mates for a shared birthday celebration this year. Great upstairs /downstairs layout for both shared time together and occasional privacy. Wonderful location in the heart of the Alberta Arts District. Michelle & Klaas are warm, excellent hosts. Provided a special birthday gift to us. Everyone enjoyed the house, the location, and the our 5 day experience there - and meeting Michelle and Klaas!

We stayed in both units as part of a big group of friends. Plenty of beds, baths, room to hang out, stocked kitchens with coffee, and beautiful spaces! Location was good with lots of food and drinks nearby, and also well located to access other neighborhoods in the city.

I celebrated my birthday with my husband and several friends, and this was the perfect house for the occasion. We rented the top and bottom units and everyone fit comfortably with plenty of space. There are so many cool restaurants, bars, and shops within minutes of walking, and we felt safe walking around the neighborhood. The hosts are super friendly and responded very quickly to the question we had. Beds were comfortable, as were the sofas/chairs in the living room where we hung out. The back patio was a fun area to socialize. I definitely recommend this house!

This is one of the better vacation homes that I have ever rented. Thoughtfully laid out, well supplied, and clean and comfortable. Parking can be a little tough at times but it’s worth it to be right in the middle of Alberta with access to all the restaurants and shops. Thanks Shift!

Nicely updated house with 2 apartments. Our family of 11 and dog used both apartments. It was perfect for our short stay.

What an amazing stay! We booked this as the end of our trip and wanted to stay in Portland but not downtown. This was such an amazing location for our family. Everyone had their own space & the kids enjoyed the toys. We took advantage of being in walking distance to so many places. We tried many different eateries, bakeries, shops & bars in our short 3 day trip. Would definitely stay here again!

Good split space for the adults and the kids, useful kitchen, great location near lots of restaurants and cafes.

from the moment we arrived, we were impressed. the location was perfect for our needs. everything was in walking distance - restaurants, coffee, co-op market, shops. we have the entire house which was great for our needs. people could sleep downstairs while the rest of us stayed up and talked all night in the upstairs house. both living spaces were well furnished... and did i mention the welcome gift!! so thoughtful!! i have already recommended the space to people who have asked about my trip to Portland!!

Our group consisted of five college girlfriends celebrating 49 years of friendship and the Alberta Street home was just the perfect place to do it! Top notch!

We used this house as home base for a fun girls weekend/bachelorette. The whole house has enough room for 12 of us with room to spare. And the location was amazing!

We were in town for a wedding and had 14 people filling up the two parts of the house. It was awesome - well-stocked and in a terrific location. So much fun and fantastic hosts. Thank you

This was the perfect home in the perfect neighborhood for our 3 generation family stay. The home was spacious, clean, well stocked and beautifully decorated. The neighborhood was safe, quiet at night and we were able to walk to cafes, bakeries, shops, grocery stores. We were always able to find a parking spot very close to the home. The outdoor area was another great gathering area for morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to all my friends.

My daughter got married in Portland so we rented this home for 12 family members and it couldn't have been more perfect! The 2 homes (upper and lower) were so comfortable, clean and well stocked. The beds were super comfortable! We loved the location, as we were able to walk across the street to breakfast and amazing coffee, and do some shopping at some super cute boutiques. The street was alive with people but at night is was very quiet. We were 20 minutes drive from everything we needed to do that weekend, which was perfect. The owners of the property took great care of us. I would highly recommend that you stay here!

This was the perfect house and perfect location for our girls getaway to Portland, OR. It was close to anything you could need. And the owners were super responsive and helpful with everything we needed. I would highly recommend this location and look forward to visiting again soon.

I've stayed here TWICE now for two different bachelor parties and we had an incredible time on both occasions. Amazing location, plenty of room, awesome layout, spotless, and with tons of character. Couldn't recommend more!

We had a perfect holiday break in this lovely house, which was large enough to accommodate an extended family gathering (top and bottom units combined). The location is fantastic, allowing early risers to grab a coffee or breakfast, and shoppers to wander to their heart's content. Lots of amenities, inside and out. We would definitely return!

This location was perfectly located (close to downtown Portland and the airport, but the neighborhood itself was great and filled with great places to eat and hang). Checking in was stress-free and the house itself is big and private. Enough space for 15 to live comfortably. Thank you!

We rented the whole house for a large group of visitors and had an amazing time. There isn't a single thing wrong with the home and everything you would ever need is there. If anyone is ever visiting Portland this is the first place I'd send them.

The location in the Alberta Arts district is great; lots of shops and local restaurant and bar options. Everything you might want is within blocks and this is a vibrant Portland neighborhood. Street parking was never difficult. We rented both houses and it was a great place for gathering. Each house was just as pictured - plenty roomy, very clean, and well stocked with everything we could need. We spent much of our time in the outdoor space. Be prepared, however - the house is literally right on Alberta in the midst of shops and we found that many people perceive it as public space and seem to gather in the outdoor space through the day and the evening, using the chairs and the picnic table or playing in the back. In general, though, people were friendly and it never felt too intrusive. Overall we loved the location and public transportation to downtown Portland was a breeze. I would recommend this as a wonderful place for a group to gather on a trip to Portland.

We had a group of 13 adults and we thoroughly enjoyed the location and the amenities of the 2 homes. Well stocked with basics in kitchen. Close to restaurants and stores. Houses were clean. Beds comfortable. The only downside was in the bottom unit you can hear the people walking around upstairs. Really only a problem when the house is quiet when sleeping. Great communication and easy checkin and checkout.

House was great for a group of 11 women. 3 level set up was perfect. There isn’t a designated parking spot, but it was easy to find street parking. The outdoor space at the house was lots of fun. Good people watching. Alberta District is quaint and friendly, but there isn’t much of a nightlife. A lot of places aren’t always open and a lot of things shut down at 6. Great shops and good restaurants though.
